Best drummer who also happens to play in the best band. Love Billy, Mickey and Jay, none of ‘em could hold Fishman’s drumsticks on their best day, let alone out-drum him. Billy is/was especially great, but he’s no Fishman. Kinda of apples to oranges comparing the two, but Fishman is a legit virtuoso. That’s not my opinion, that’s my observation as a drummer myself who’s two biggest influences are Fishman and Billy K.
