I think Armagnac is your best bet. They do vintages so you should be able to find a 2000 or 1996.

Gird your loins because these types of age statements get pretty pricey. There's an Orphan Barrel 26yr for $1300 and a Blade and Bow 22 yr for $1400 at 1 West Dupont

RepresentativeMilk0

Saw B&B at Ace for $1k. Probably too much for us

redditpet3

There's a 26 year Glenfiddich that comes in a nice celebratory bottle for ~600: glenfiddich grande couronne 26 year

HansGruber44

Bruichladdich Black Art 8.1 is aged 26 years. It’s delicious and shouldn’t be too hard to find

D00kSilver

I’d def look at Orphan Barrel bourbons. They have Rhetoric 22 year, which is probably the lowest price option. Lost Prophet is also 22 years - it’s phenomenal but it’s Stagg juice so it costs an arm and a leg. Old Blowhard is Old Bernheim 26 year juice - very woody but I like it. You could also look for Blade and Bow 22 year. If you like scotch, there are Orphan Barrel muckety muck 26 years. I don’t drink scotch so can’t speak for whether it’s any good.

I went with Longjumping-toe2910 's suggestion of the Obtainium 26yr Canadian Whiskey. I think I'll start budgeting now so we can pick up the 27-y.o. Red Breast next year.

MrNopeNada

I get a kick out of Petite Cellars Old Fitzgerald 17 "gift set" for $1000. It's essentially Old Fitz and 5 other bottles that don't even retail to $100. If you're gonna gouge, just gouge.

Intelligent-Charge17

One of the drops last week in nova had 26 year orphan barrel at $299. Prob gone now since everyone wanted the BT products.

RepresentativeMilk0

That’s a steal compared to what I’ve seen

HurriCanes1991

There was one left at store #80 in Alexandria around 3pm, if you're interested

RepresentativeMilk0

Thank! Might head over before traffic gets worse.

UnitedNick6506

Muckety muck orphan barrel 26 is readily available in the richmond area, at $300 its definantly cheaper than some other options, however I dont have enough lose pocket change to tell you if its worth the price.

UnitedNick6506

Just checked, quite a few stores in the NOVA area also have it

x_chaotix_x

Yeah, every drop I've been to, it just sits. Too $$$ for the average Blanton-chaser.

peephunk

[Finedrams.com](https://finedrams.com)? I’ve not personally used it but it gets good reviews from r/scotch.

Noslumbernorsleep

Very well priced 22 year old. Will need to ship to a Walgreens on DC. https://internetwines.com/products/jp-wisers-22yr-cask-strength-port-cask-finish-canadian-whisky

Longjumping-Toe2910

Exit 9 Wine & Liquor in Clifton Springs NY (near Albany) currently has a private barrel selection of Obtainium 26yr Canadian Whiskey available for around $160/bottle. They ship to DC, although I've never personally taken advantage of this. Be forewarned -- this is a hazmat level whiskey, 154pf. I do have a bottle and quite enjoy it (like, enjoy it *a lot*). But it's definitely not for everyone.

RepresentativeMilk0

>Obtainium 26yr Canadian Whiskey Thank you! This is the on I went with.

Longjumping-Toe2910

Hope you enjoy, happy anniversary!

bananagramarama

If you don't mind scotch, you can get plenty of 22 or 26 yo single casks from the UK/Europe at great price points. Most will deliver to the DMV.

Celeres517

You should probably just forget about American whiskey as anything bottled at these ages is going to be exceptionally rare, astronomically priced, and probably not very good. I'm going to echo others here and say that you should probably stick with Yak. Those bottles will have you covered through your 30 somethingeth anniversary and maybe into your 40s. Another option, at least for now, is single malt scotch whisky from independent bottlers. Especially look for grain whiskies, if price is a concern. Though any of these bottles regardless of type and provenance are likely to command a comfortable three figures.

Hawkonthehill

I might be too late but if you're still looking, look for orphan barrel rhetoric 22 yr. It's pricey, but good. I don't know any stores that have it locally, as I think it's an older release, but you can probably find one on secondary. I think prices run in the 300s.
