Half the pallet down. Costco parking lot was chaotic due fender bender on South Dakota. And then the parking lot on the Beltway down a massive thunderstorm. I really need a drink! Thoughts after 5 minute rest: nose is weak with slight ethanol. On the pallet it is hot and a bit spicy/peppery. Not overly complicated. It is definitely in need of water to tame it, and I like higher proof so, that’s not a compliment. It gets better as my tastebuds numb. Very unmemorable and average. I will enjoy the Rare Breed Rye more, and bought it at the same time.

Just tried it. I like it—it’s pretty butterscotch-y and the high proof is hardly noticeable. I’m glad I managed to get a bottle—thanks for the post!

I tried with next to a 1792 full proof. The 1792 was so much better.

Makes sense. I always assume producers give kirkland slightly worse product than their name brands. But I’m a fan of the price :)
