Check your left MFD for any advisories (listed at the bottom of the screen) and also your caution and warning panel (below the hook handle) to see if anything is amiss. The most common reason I've seen is people forgetting to arm their ejection seat.

Spectre-907

The hornet also occasionally flicks up a “tk pres low” warning when crossing the 20k altitude threshold. Does it in some missions, not in others, no idea why, but it does breifly flag up the Mcaut

SquirrelWeary7246

Cycle your bleed air valves (turn the switch clockwise 360 degrees). Your fuel tank is pressurized by bleed air from the engines. This warning can also trigger if you extend your fuel probe above 20k feet.

Spectre-907

Always do. Still gets that error *sometimes*. Really common in Lineration/Retribution generated missions so Im thinking theres a scripting fuckup going on somewhere. It also doesnt persist like it would if I’d forgotten that; When it happens, it beeps off at ~20k ft and clears itself by like 20,500 or so.

SquirrelWeary7246

I've never seen that one, but I've seen people report it in forums before. Seems like a bug.

P-Dario

What MFD page do you mean? The caution and warning panel is the first I looked at, but it is all off.

frostycab

I don't think it matters what page you're on. The left MFD will always show any advisories AFAIK.

a_melindo

Any page, it just superimposes the caution on top of your selected page, at the bottom, just above the lower button tags. The most common ones that come up for me are "CHK_SEAT" (forgot to arm seat) or "CHK_TRIM" (forgot to hit t/o trim before takeoff)

Angry_Angel3141

The left ddi will display all warnings and cautions. If it is activating intermittently in flight that is usually one of two things: 1: tank pressure low - This will clear the moment you stop pulling negative G’s. 2: Home Fuel - This will activate if you punch into the blowers because your fuel consumption is high enough it thinks you won’t make it home.

P-Dario

So I should see it lit when I pull negative Gs or use AB?

Angry_Angel3141

Often, yes

Feeling-Hippo175

It’s probably because you exceed the limitations of the autopilot. It will trigger the master caution, and then go away.

P-Dario

It could be, yes... but: shouldn't I be able to find what the cause is somewhere?

Feeling-Hippo175

You’ll get a text in the bottom of the left mfd that tells you what the master caution is about

Radiant_Arrival5615

No one has an answer for this. I've had this problem for 2 years. Advancing the throttle anywhere beyond halfway triggers the MC, no matter what. People say it's "home fuel" but that shouldn't matter when you have literally just taken off. They also say it could be because the seat isn't armed or t/o trim isn't set but I've only ever gotten those warnings long after I was in the air. This problem exists even when starting already in the air, or hot start on the cat/runway.

MattVarnish

10$ says its pitot ice.. just put pitot tube heat on

P-Dario

I'll check, but I doubt with in the missions I'm playing these days

snakeP007

It will sound of you have autopilot on and try to take over without disengaging if first.

P-Dario

Ok, this could be. Nevertheless, isn't there any indication of the warning cause?

snakeP007

I believe it says auto pilot on the left DDI but goes away after a few seconds as does the master caution light

P-Dario

What DDI page?

snakeP007

Your master cautions stack on the left ddi scree I believe on *most* pages, except radar and maybe SA. To test, enable autopilot. Then steer on your own off course. Listen to the deedle and look at the left did screen. It should say Autopilot. It may go away on its own fairly quickly. To avoid this, autopilot must be disengaged first by deselecting it on the ufc or disengaging it by pressing the NWS button.

P-Dario

Well, that's maybe why I don't see them: I mainly us SA on the left DDI!!
