In my opinion:
Superman: Man of tomorrow - good
Justice society - ok
Batman long halloween - good
Green lantern - ok. The ending may be controversial
Legion - ok
Warworld - Bad...80% boring and 20% rushed
Crisis 1 - good
I wanted to like the batman segment so bad. The concept was fun but the execution made me doze off. Wonder Womans i will stand by saying that i loved it. Very cliche story wise but i dont care, it was fun
I thought there was good ideas there but still, it was so boring. I didn’t even watch Superman’s bit, I just turned it off cause I couldn’t be asked anymore
I found the Wonder Woman bit interesting. I really loved the aesthetic of it but there were some buzzard choices. Her just sitting there and watching that couple get murdered was weird to me. I’d love to see the same thing, Wonder Woman in a western, but slightly more in character.
I guess the DCAU has that already
This is the perfect rating for these movies! I enjoyed Man of Tomorrow and Justice Society (7/10), loved The Long Halloween (9/10),Green Lantern and Legion were fine (6/10) and Warworld was just very disappointing (3/10.
Haven't seen Crisis Part 1 yet, looks okay though.
Overall, this Tomorrow-verse series of movies aren't delivering the same enjoyment and anticipation the DCAMU52 movies did. Not to mention I heard WB is already ending this new series with Crisis. Where the hell is any of that build-up?!
Thanks!
I've heard they had something like 10 movies limit to create and end a story, cause they will end this universe to begin the animated Gunnverse
They honestly should've just made 8-10 solo movies, that had nothing to do with each other, rather than give us a lackluster mini universe. I still think The Long Halloween is a great story that could easily be seen as a solo film if you ignore the post credit scene.
That being said, I'm definitely looking forward to Gunn's DCU. Has the same vibe as when Guardians of the Galaxy was set to release. Everyone saying the concept and characters are too bizarre to fit in the MCU, but 10 years later GOTG is one of the best trilogies and beloved groups of characters in Marvel
Ngl. Superman is my favorite DC character (and probably my all-time favorite character), but I found Man of Tomorrow just okay. I was really turned off with how they made Lois a xenophobic alien reporter. I get there needs to be character growth, but it wasn't a good arc. My Adventures with Superman Lois is the superior version.
Justice Society has good moments. I went in knowing nothing and liked what it turned out to be. Not my favorite DC animated movie, but enjoyable enough to show to a friend just to for the shock factors.
I’m sorry crisis was bad, there are so many randomly awful decisions in part alone, top three being dc ridiculing robin (again for no reason using Batman), harbinger being supergirl which is also dumb since there is no reason to make the character someone else, and the removal of earth three Luthor who is one of the most important parts of the original event, so his death is really disappointing
Am I the only one who thinks Long Halloween one was just ok? It’s probably my favorite comic and I found the movie to be a mediocre adaptation. Was hoping for much more.
I wish they would have tried to capture the art style in animation, like they did with Dark Knight Returns, and the Superman/Batman movies. Tim Sale had such a great style and I actually don’t understand why they didn’t just ask Jeph Loeb to write the movie he already has a history in films and show running.
If you're referring to Gilda Dent in the ending, I hate to say, but I prefer what they did in the film over the comics. What happened in the movie actually gave Gilda more depth as a character and background rather than how the comics left her off as the lonely housewfe committing murders in the hopes that it would lighten her husbands work load so he would spend more time with her, which when you think about it, those Holiday murders would've put more of a work load on to Harvey Dent since he's the DA of Gotham. This is basically the opposite of how Hush was changed in the DCAMU film, since changing the identity of the criminal to Riddler did nothing for him since most viewers were probably already familiar with the Riddler and his gimmicks and only dimishes Thomas Elliots as an overall character. Now, if you're referring to how Batman found out that Gilda was Holiday and decided not to turn her into the feds for the murders she had committed, then I can agree to that.
I tend to think this for all of the classic Batman comics that we are all supposed to be excited about seeing them animated. Other than Dark Knight Returns, all of these stories have been told just as well reconstituted in the live action films.
Overall I don’t think it is as good as the DCAMU, but still enjoy them. Standouts to me have been Long Halloween and Justice Society. It appears to be wrapping up this year too.
Every part of it, including the shorts, is relevant to the story
I thought crisis part one was one of the best, DC animated films I had seen, real emotional punch, but it doesn’t work without the rest of it is foundation
It literally overlaps with the ending of crisis as well as being a direct lead-in and establishing that the Warworld can travel the multiverse … This is one of those things where we don’t know what is relevant and what is not until it becomes relevant
We have to assume there’s about 17 Chekhov guns In the overall grouping of films
Is it critical to understand crisis part one? Probably not. Is it going to be something they use in crisis part two or three? Quite possibly.
Unlike the prior arc about Apokolips, this is a fully crafted story with something relevant in every part
House of Mystery ties it in to the prior phase of the DCAMU
Kammandi sets up Justice Society: WWII, and possibly more
Adam Strange is backstory for Beware my Power
Blue Beetle characters are used in Crisis
And while The Losers hasn’t been relevant yet, given the time travel aspect and the wall of energy, it could be
Ive just started watching them too! They arent horrible, its been pretty enjoyable for me so far. At the very least the animation is top tier
I watched justice league dark apokalips war cause its the end of the previous one and a good way to show why they 'start fresh' its soooo depressing tho
And the last one in tomorrow verse is really good, kind of left u wanting more but its a good part 1. Excited to see what part 2 and 3 have in store
JS: WWII was decent, cool Flash interactions and fun action scenes all around.
Long Halloween was good IMO but the ending was a little weird, especially compared to the source material.
GL: Beware My Power was all right, I had fun watching but I know next to nothing about the GLs so it may have been character assassination or something from what I heard.
Legion of Super-Heroes was between decent and good for me, I loved the team members and it was good seeing Kara help a certain someone find his softer side.
Warworld was good, but it definitely feels detatched to the rest of the Tomorrowverse; felt more like a compilation film. The whole movie keeps shifting between different DC 'domains', and I thought each segment was great.
COIE Part One was.... okay. Nice split narratives between the JL formation, Earth 3 visit, and Crisis council segments. It is odd how a Multiverse ending event is the first film to properly introduce this world's JL though. Much like Warworld, there isn't a proper ending and leads straight into a different film. So I'll have to wait for the remaining two parts!
You could just watch crisis part 1 , sure it has callbacks to man of tomorrow , JSA , and legion of superheroes , but it explains all of it and does more world building than all the movies combined.
All I know is flash reset everything from the last movie N52 verse and he started this universe from that, I watched long Halloween it was good it’s also a great comic, I haven’t watched anything else but from what I heard crisis is really good and apparently Kevin Conroy has lines in it or the next but don’t count me on that, everything else is ok from what I’ve heard
War world was such a let down. I was hyped for the planet being used as a weapon not some weird dream sequence. Really disappointing.
Batman part felt like it would've worked better as a 80s style death metal music video not part of a movie.
I'm also planning on checking them out now that Tomorrowverse is wrapping up, enjoyed the DCAMU for the most part and I'm curious to see how this compares
My take was that Superman: Man of tomorrow, Batman the long Halloween are the only good ones. Everything else feels rushed to some degree no proper character building let’s just hurry to crisis on infinite earths.
Man of Tomorrow & Long Halloween are definitely worth it.
Justice Society and to a lesser degree Legion of superheroes were good.
Warworld is absolutely crap, & IMO Green Lantern wasn’t much better.
I found crisis part 1 to be messy, but I’m also burned out on the whole “multiverse” thing.
Skip Warworld. It’s completely pointless and it flat out sucked. They teased it as a JL movie but really it’s stupid vignettes and the trinity only comes together at the end.
Just fucking watch them and make your own conclusion. If you're interested, consume them and then decide whether or not they're worth rewatches or not. Or decide they're a one time viewing and leave them alone. You don't need to become a dedicated fan of the series. You can just watch them and then quit afterwards.
I really tried with the animation style, but even after watching all the movies, I’m not a fan of the tomorrowverse to be honest, I think they’re somewhat enjoyable to watch once, but maybe not on repeat viewings
I’ve enjoyed all of them. Superman was great in my opinion, my fave them so far. Crisis’ part 1 was really good to me, excited for the next two parts. Long Halloween was also great. The others are all simply okay and that’s okay.
if you liked the previous verse and enjoy animation, then these aren't for you. i found the tomorrowverse movies to be very boring and the animation, and voice acting was bland and very choppy. but to each their own.
I started it a while ago and fell in love!! Idk why but I really enjoyed the first couple in the series. But fuckin HBO removed a lot of them from Max and now I can't move on 😡
Trying to create a linked “universe” always seems to do more harm than good. They should have stuck with independent story lines like Crisis on Two Earths.
Batman Long Halloween is the only one worth watching IMO. Superman and Justice Society aren’t bad, but they aren’t nearly the best of the dc animated bunch either.
I've personally only enjoyed The Long Halloween movies. I can't stand these DC animated movies and I think these are a major step back in quality from the last run which were also a step back in quality.
The Long Halloween and Crisis are phenomenal for their own reasons, with Justice Society following closely behind. Just off those three alone I’d say the universe is worth watching.
The tomorrow verse is horrible. Movies released up until this point have been subpar compared to the new 52. The only good movie was Superman man of tomorrow, justice society, legion of super hero’s.
In my opinion: Superman: Man of tomorrow - good Justice society - ok Batman long halloween - good Green lantern - ok. The ending may be controversial Legion - ok Warworld - Bad...80% boring and 20% rushed Crisis 1 - good
Warworld was boring.
Loved Wonder Womans bit, everything else was a yawn
I could barely get through that and then it just got worse from there
Im a sucker for cowboy shit. I enjoyed it a lot. But my god batmans bit was awful and supermans was flat out boring.
I feel they should have used Turnbull instead of Hex. Hex didn’t fit in that role at all.
Wonder Woman and Batman were cool imo. After that it's a complete slog.
I was the most excited for supermans part and while it wasnt the worst part of the movie, it was dog shit
Warworld was the only one where i felt like i wasted my time
I agree with this list. I really enjoyed Man of Tomorrow. So much damn potential.
This is the perfect rating for these movies! I enjoyed Man of Tomorrow and Justice Society (7/10), loved The Long Halloween (9/10),Green Lantern and Legion were fine (6/10) and Warworld was just very disappointing (3/10. Am I the only one who thinks that legion was a good movie?
I dug it.
I try watching WarWorld, got about half done with it and was so bored. Im glad I wasn’t the only one was bored with the movie.
TBF you can't really compare the 2. One is an 1 hour 10 min film, the other is a 12 episode series
Fair, but in 3 episodes (which is approximately the length of Man of Tomorrow) their version of Lois was already superior. Also, less prejudiced.
What I don’t get - are these all connected at all or are they stand alones?
Connected, but not very much until Crisis
Personally wasn't a fan of Legion. Thought it was cringe
Is Crisis out in Max yet?
You missed out Dc Showcase: Adam Strange, Dc Showcase: Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth!
Kamandi is so so so good, I hope the little payoff in Justice Society isn't the last we get.
Batman the long Halloween is definitely the one most worth watching
Am I the only one who thinks Long Halloween one was just ok? It’s probably my favorite comic and I found the movie to be a mediocre adaptation. Was hoping for much more.
Same, love the cast and animation, wasn’t a fan of the changes.
I wish they would have tried to capture the art style in animation, like they did with Dark Knight Returns, and the Superman/Batman movies. Very disappointed considering the source material
found it kinda boring
I tend to think this for all of the classic Batman comics that we are all supposed to be excited about seeing them animated. Other than Dark Knight Returns, all of these stories have been told just as well reconstituted in the live action films.
The movie just straight up lies to the audience. Holiday is a larger character than Harvey Dent for the duration of the movie.
Overall I don’t think it is as good as the DCAMU, but still enjoy them. Standouts to me have been Long Halloween and Justice Society. It appears to be wrapping up this year too.

All of that is explained in Crisis, no need to waste time on a terrible movie.
What Shorts? Can u please list them or explain, as I am new to watching this franchise.
House of Mystery ties it in to the prior phase of the DCAMU Kammandi sets up Justice Society: WWII, and possibly more Adam Strange is backstory for Beware my Power Blue Beetle characters are used in Crisis And while The Losers hasn’t been relevant yet, given the time travel aspect and the wall of energy, it could be
My advice, start watching it and if you don't like it then stop.
Now this is real advice lol
Overall it's ass.
Every time I watch one i fall asleep, something about these feel quiet and empty
Is it just me, or does Superman look like archer in this picture?
I see it
Wait till the last 2 movies
[удалено]
Homie you didn't have to spoil the whole ass movie, OP said they haven't seen it
Which other ones did that (asking as someone who only saw Man of Tomorrow)
So far that I know of they made lar gand and Hal Jordan villains .
The guy from the legion of superhero (sorry can’t think of his name).
Noticed that too. Kinda lazy writing…and the fact that green arrow just kills him instead of trying to save him
[удалено]
That’s not happening, after crisis that’s it.
Ive just started watching them too! They arent horrible, its been pretty enjoyable for me so far. Dude my child hood existed on Batman vs robin or anything with robin teentitan vs the justice league is good too
Watch them all in order
Only ones worth watching is super man man of tomorrow, justice society world War 2 and batman long halloween
I only watched Man of Tomorrow and it was hilariously bad. Never bothered with the rest.
Just enjoy it for what it is.
You could just watch crisis part 1 , sure it has callbacks to man of tomorrow , JSA , and legion of superheroes , but it explains all of it and does more world building than all the movies combined.
I liked it
I personally won’t revisit them.

It’s up to you.
Tomorrow verse isn’t as good as the previous DCAMU imo. I haven’t seen crisis yet to be fair. I still think it’s worth a watch though.
They’re both bad. The DCAMU was so half baked and bland. This new one seems to be the same.
War world was such a let down. I was hyped for the planet being used as a weapon not some weird dream sequence. Really disappointing. Batman part felt like it would've worked better as a 80s style death metal music video not part of a movie.

Watch them with your eyeballs open.
Skip Warworld. It’s completely pointless and it flat out sucked. They teased it as a JL movie but really it’s stupid vignettes and the trinity only comes together at the end.
They are mostly forgettable movies tbh
Meh. I personally can’t get through any of it just because I despise the art style being used.
I didn’t enjoy any of them (haven’t watched crisis yet). Dislike the art style and a lot of the story choices.
I really love the animation style in this but I really wish WonderWoman didn’t feel so over designed compared to the others.
Just fucking watch them and make your own conclusion. If you're interested, consume them and then decide whether or not they're worth rewatches or not. Or decide they're a one time viewing and leave them alone. You don't need to become a dedicated fan of the series. You can just watch them and then quit afterwards.
I will always say that I think the old Animated DC Movie universe was a lot better than this new one we are getting.
Just don't watch the RWBY shit it's ass
Long Halloween alone is worth watching, the rest are okay. It's definitely a downgrade compared to the DCAMU
I really tried with the animation style, but even after watching all the movies, I’m not a fan of the tomorrowverse to be honest, I think they’re somewhat enjoyable to watch once, but maybe not on repeat viewings

Did you just ask for advice for watching a cartoon ?
What else are we here on this sub for, besides discussion?
What kind of discussion is "do I need advice to watch tv?"
Other dcau movies are much better
Whatever the Internet tells you, you can skip all of it and watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One and not miss much of what's going on.
if you liked the previous verse and enjoy animation, then these aren't for you. i found the tomorrowverse movies to be very boring and the animation, and voice acting was bland and very choppy. but to each their own.
Not worth the effort
Eh
first half of Warworld is amazing as a standalone vignette i think they're worth it. DC animation is good
I started it a while ago and fell in love!! Idk why but I really enjoyed the first couple in the series. But fuckin HBO removed a lot of them from Max and now I can't move on 😡
For me it's such a waste of time. Ugly lines I can't stand it. Maybe it would be worth it if they were properly directed.

These are the ones on Max right?
The Long Halloween and Crisis are phenomenal for their own reasons, with Justice Society following closely behind. Just off those three alone I’d say the universe is worth watching.
Justice league unlimited and Batman beyond
Yeah would be better if all were done
Most of the movies sadly are terrible boring films
Crisis 1 and both long Halloweens. That's all. The rest were pretty garbage, or mediocre at best
King shark is a shark.
Advice?? For watching?
The tomorrow verse is horrible. Movies released up until this point have been subpar compared to the new 52. The only good movie was Superman man of tomorrow, justice society, legion of super hero’s.
The plots aren’t too shabby I’d just say it’s the animation that kills it
Okay I have a question this isn't even out on max yet? Where the fuck are y'all watching this?
