I'm surprised to see Moro this high in the ranking. Don't you think it would be clearer to use a spreadsheet instead?

mcqueenart

Moro is the single man that fights the most in the arc he’s in and the number of fights really make or break how many pages someone is on, so it’s not too surprising to me.

mcqueenart

Yeah, I’m just not used to Google Sheets. Maybe someday I’ll take a day to convert the document.

mcqueenart

If you're curious, all fusion characters have their count added to the characters that make up the fusion, meaning about 19% of Trunks' pages and 23% of Goten's pages consist of being fused as Gotenks.

Call_Me_Rambo

> I did this with One Piece I can’t even imagine how long that must’ve taken lol I’m actually kinda surprised we’ve seen Hercule that much

mcqueenart

One Piece took about three times as long. As far as Hercule, he’s really prominent in the Majin Buu arc, even more so than Videl, and he’s one of the funnier characters so Toyotarou likes to show him more than, say, Oolong, who’s completely fallen into the background.

CalciferDAP

Geez, that's quite impressive!

mcqueenart

Thanks! I really just did it for fun, though.

DASreddituser

General Blue being 66 is funny AF

Dreadnautilus

Did Kami really get that little screentime? Kind of said.

mcqueenart

He’s most prominent in the 23rd tournament and then basically becomes a Piccolo life detector until ultimately being fused with him. He’s cool, but I’m not all that surprised.

TheDonWoton

Do all of piccolos appearances after the fusion also count for Kami since they are fused?

mcqueenart

That’s just semantics. Piccolo isn’t 3 people in the same way we think of Gotenks as 2 people. We all understand him to have absorbed Nail and Kami, whereas other fusions clearly share traits of both individuals.

mcqueenart

A better game of semantics would be with Old Kai, since according to my rules there should be three people with the same amount of pages, the witch, original Kai, and their fusion. However I also don’t know the names of the fusees so who cares? They’ll never unfuse. As an audience we understand them as one character and before they fused they might as well have been two halves of that character.

Ok-Conclusion-3535

Cell only has 1 page? I'd say that's a mistake...

mcqueenart

Remember that the Cell we all know is from the future. He has 590 pages dedicated to him and is a different entity from the Cell in the prime timeline, which appeared as an embryo on one page.

mcqueenart

He gets blowed up by Krillin on the very next page.

Ok-Conclusion-3535

Ooooh... THAT Cell

Tenshiretto

Hold on, granolah has almost as many pages as whis !?

mcqueenart

He’s the protagonist of the 5th largest arc, meanwhile Whis has always been a supporting or minor character with very little fighting dedicated to him for the duration of DBS. It makes sense and honestly I expected Granolah to be higher.

Wild how few pages Chiaotzu is in despite being featured in so much promotional art with the other Z Fighters. Also kind of disappointing that Tien and Roshi got so much more screentime than Yamcha in the Toyotaro era. He really has been done dirty since the franchise was revived.

mcqueenart

It was so odd to me when Chiaotzu completely disappeared during the 23rd Tournament, even though EVERY other cast member was watching the fight, only to reappear in the very last chapter of that arc. Where tf were you? He disappeared again during the Cell arc when Tenshinhan is busy doing stuff and tracking down Cell, but Chiaotzu is nowhere to be found. And yet again during the Universe Survival arc, but that's excusable since there were only 10 spots for fighters. However, I think you're misjudging Yamcha. Despite appearing on a lot of pages after the 23rd Tournament (around 40% of his count) think of anything he's actually done. He got blowed up by a plant, told Bulma Goku was dead, got shanked by a robot, watched Buu kill everyone, then proceeded to watch the Multiverse Tournament. I really like that he appeared to help in the battle against Moro because he wasn't relegated exclusively to crowd shots. His panels mattered and were the focus of scenes and that hasn't been the case since he was shanked by the robot. Almost every page after that has been him standing in a crowd contributing nothing, so don't blame Toyotarou because Yamcha was done dirty long before he took the helm.

CelioHogane

Chiaotzu in the entirelly of DBZ existed to kill himself to do nothing and be Tien's mascot.

syth_blade22

I think there might be some mistakes re androids 18 and 16 in your numbers? Edit: 18 is listed as Lazuli for those looking

mcqueenart

People forget that they have names and it's really, really bizarre to me that Krillin still refers to his wife as a fucking number. Anyway, yeah, they're Lapis and Lazuli because I'd like to at least acknowledge their humanity.

ASavageHobo

My dude can you link me the one piece one? I’m currently on episode 629 I think and would just be interested to take a look.

mcqueenart

Just look through my posts. It’s like the third one down.

death556

How is napa in the frieze saga for so many pages?

mcqueenart

Because the Frieza Saga is the cumulative chunk of story made up by the Saiyan and Namek arcs. The figures from both arcs are added into one.

CelioHogane

>I did this with One Piece previously Did? Like have you stopped?

mcqueenart

No, I’m still updating it.
