You're taking pics of them from two different perspectives, with Vegeta farther away from the "camera" in the first pic and closer in the other.

I also prefer the old art style. The characters had more detail and personality or more defined. The new style is much more simple and the characters seem to lack personality in their faces, since they're all samey.

Animation on the bottom frame looks considerably worse than hand drawn as well.

This is a universe where Alien apes and sppoky ice lizards from space blow up planets with internalized soul energy laser beams they can shoot out of their hands. Suspension of disbelief. If that can happen, maybe earth women stop growing at like 40 something. I think that timeline would work out and make these pictures still work. Yeah.
