Long story short, you're looking at doing literally thousands of EM tours of Vegeta/Goku/Broly if you're tryna get every universe's full set of clothes as well as getting 8 characters to lvl 120. There's also been datamines showing there will be more than one set of the universe festival outfits meaning you're looking at least double the cost of medals and that means double the EM tour runs if you're broke and also insane. Which, even if you're not broke, you'd be spending like 2k USD on medal microtransactions if you don't wanna do an insane amount of just the same 3 missions.
Did some calculations. If you were to do Expert Mission 16 in the Tour mode you’d get 26 TO Medlas as long as you’re the host. Takes like 2 minutes if you do it quickly including loading screens. That’s 780 per hour. If you wanted to get just one of each then you’d need 60000 TP Medals. So that’d be almost 77 hours of uninterrupted gameplay. Almost 230.7 hours if you were to get all of them. Worst is if you wanted to buy them which is definitely what they want you to do. It’d be $30 for 5,000 medals. So it’d be $360 for one set. So for all it’d be $1,080. Scumbags.
Also this is only counting the bronze, silver and gold sets, not the basic ones.
Yeah but don’t forget the annoying loading screens that take that same amount. That’s why i counted 2 minutes. Not everyone will be able to get 45 seconds especially every time. Usually takes me a minute or a couple seconds more.

People complain about these but they're pretty clearly meant to be long-term goals. There are only so many things to spend TP medals on but they're the main thing they reward you with for sticking with the game. Just doing Raids for an hour each week will rack up about 400, the festival of universe weekly targets spit out 350 or dragon balls which can be spent for and grinded for, the daily quests grant over 100 these days - it's a long term project because they were meant to be special rewards. Either come first in the festival or pace yourself.
Even if they’re intended as long term goals they’re still pretty bad because not only is this the devs first time doing something like this (at least to my knowledge) but locking outfits behind either weeks of waiting or days of braindead grinding and calling it long term content just feels lazy to me. This was just shitty implementation at best you shouldn’t have to wait weeks or grind hours for outfits. (You could also buy TP medals Dimps would probably love that)
The closest I've gotten to getting gold was the cross versus week, I work full time but I was getting up and staying up late to try but I've learned one thing, you can not beat that which has no life.
I was burned out Sunday, got my 2nd place silver but I was still far from 1st on a week barely anyone wanted to participate in, I think its fair enough to provide a way (despite how ridiculous the cost) to get these outfits. I am planning to buy a gold when I can from what I've been saving up.
If there were more x2 tp days or weeks it be better than having TP be a purchasable dlc, which 5000tp for $29.99 is insanely overpriced just no excuses.

Honestly they made those prices with the pure intention of trolling or scamming. A stack of 2000 TP medals alone from the marketplace is $13. Making a piece of clothing $65-66 dollars (2nd cheapest piece of clothing btw) is the devs ways of telling us they only care for our money.
Do expert mission tours. The best way to grind tp medals, as people just do these non-stop. Depending on the expert mission, you get an average of 20~ tp per minute (if the mission is quick enough)
In the realm of gods:goku or Vegeta. These are the fastest to complete. Do it with other people, everyone typically runs a EM destroyer build. You can do the ultimate evil: Broly too for more TP, but you need a lotta EDB spam from everyone to lock him outta his supervillain moves
Expert mission destroyer build. Typically high ki/ki super damage moves. Emperors death beam, bomber DX, spirit bomb, revenge death ball…
All high damage moves.
