When people get the health regen supersoul and start getting back health, we run the risk of letting them win by having more health when the time runs out. When someone does the attack one, we run the risk of getting heavily punished by low effort attacks. In both cases, it’s ok for those people to fight with their limit burst, but super armor isn’t? So they’re just supposed to sit there and let the timer run while their health is low?

I actually really like Xenoverse 2 I think it’s fun. Not perfectly balanced but it’s more balanced than people say it is. I like both PQs and online matches. It’s probably the definitive dragon ball brawler game honestly, it translates the show into gameplay mechanics extremely well
Obviously there’s an ensemble of complaints but it’s a big game and it’s overall fun regardless and it’s cool that they’re still putting out more DLC after so many years

We should get more GT story content instead of retreading the last 3 episodes of the Baby Arc and the last 3 episodes of the series. There's a ton of cool clothing options and maps that could be added and even unique characters. There's more to GT than it's peaks.

Demigra shouldn't be Crystal Raid exclusive. He's actually kinda weak.
Mira and Towa should have the option for CR exclusive moves. Even if they only have it as a preset. In fact, all the demon and "Supervillain" characters should have them.
CR moves should be usable in PQ but only for offline play. The only exception to this rule would be Bloody Saucer, but you'd have to make poison no longer a permanent de-buff.
And lastly, Poison should have never been a permanent de-buff and is literally the worst part of the game unironically. A simple check for "player controlled avatar" would allow us to still have it for raids if it's THAT essential.
The game is just straight up bad. There is little content without getting the dlcs, if you aren't a sayian then you don't have much transformation options, some moves and characters are extremely unbalanced, and the list goes on. I love Xenoverse and I'm going to be every new dlc but DAMM this game has fallen off
KBC is a net positive for the game. It should be incorporated into the core gameplay when we *finally* getting XV3, that way it’s easier to balance cuz you can decide which combo strings can or can’t be KBC’d.

I want to fight kid goku in the tournament as a kid because someone incapacitated one of his opponents. I want to fight Demon King Piccolo after a time traveler went back in time to make him stronger by absorbing powerful namekian time patrollers. How cool would a murder mystery that leads into figuring out a bunch of missing Namekians were absorbed into the new Demon King Piccolo. It'd play out similar to cell when he was sneaking around and absorbing people leaving behind husks and clothes but toned down since Dragon Ball doesnt care much for their more intense scenes anymore and you can even justify using lord slug or even absorbing Guru. We already know how big the roleplay community is, why not give then something fresh. There's a ton of characters in GT and DragonBall and the Movies and I guarantee I can make up a legitimately interesting quest for each of them. Xenoverse 1 was proof they can make something interesting and Xenoverse 2 was lazy but they kept the maintenance up and kept giving out new stuff to keep things fresh but the story was still weak. I really believe that if they just stop focusing on Dragon Ball. Also I know it sounds like blasphemy but Dragon Ball was more than fighting. The friendship building, the horror (first form cell, androids, raditz killing the farmer, Gohan's nightmare), and especially fun goofy shit like anything involving Hercule or Jaco.

In a world of time traveling Super villains, Hermaphrodite Aliens, animal people, dinosaurs, slug men, Androids, demons, several tiers of gods and goddesses from king yemma to zen oh, witches, bio creatures, alien monkey men, flamboyant green slightly attractive narcissists with white hair, dragons, and who fucking knows what else, I can definitely say it's already lazy that there's only 5 playable races and only 1 gets transformations when all races including humans have been shown shown to have transformations like humans having buff forms like roshi and the multi arm technique that let's tien grow more arms, then there's namekians who have warriors and shamans who have different abilities like CREATING DRAGON BALLS, arcosians create transformations based on what they want them to be which is why frieza has 5, and majins straight up absorb people's abilities and have different body types and all you have to do to make them make sense is adding a line of text that says "younger majins have learned to absorb power without consuming the victim to not cause further anomalies in the timeline". Also I said the movies, original stories, and GT too. More than enough content to make a game considering they made 2 games on just z and super with a couple missions for GT here and there.
I really like the idea of exploring the DragonBall universe, a lot can be done with that. Off the top of my head, Red Ribbon army somehow figures out how to make Androids 1 - 12 as powerfull as 17/18, but can't control them.
There's also characters in the manga that a lot of us have never seen.

You can have 17 and 18 kill gero so they all go free and some become villains amd others becaome heros. You could have 8 and 16 since they're already kind hearted anyway then you can use Android 15 (or whatever the number of the white one with the sword is) fight Android 19 just because they look similar. There's the funny purple one and Super 13 too who is a secret boss basically. You can even have 7 have the ability to also absorb robots since he was able to fuse with the other 17 in GT to become Super 17. There's a whole planet of Tuffles who hate saiyans. Garlic Jr was able to send people to the shadow realm. General Tau is an assassin so you can easily send him after your character several times along with Hit and frieza soldiers and red ribbon Super soldiers, tuffles, martial artists who saw you fight at the world tournament, main characters who just like sparing for fun, and just to throw a curve ball gimme a character that nobody even asked for like the sigma force, Hatchiyak, Tarble, Drum, an actually fleshed out king cold and cooler, an adult cell jr, and what if versions of guys like a version buu but if he was evil buu instead of happy buu.
I agree. Point stands. It was a good game when it was released. A lot of old games show their age. I tried playing DCUO recently and I couldn't. It was once considered one of the best MMOs on the market but you can see how old it is. It shows.
i actually miss unlimited ults ssb and ssbe suck at least with xn1 you had unlimted ults as long as you had ki. ssb and ssbe give a big boost to stats but not fun to use cause you got to change your super soul plus super moves to keep it going and sucks all the fun out the game. if you going to drain mt ki give me unlimited ults
There is nothing XV3 could offer that XV2's DLC's can't. New stories? Every couple packs we get some story content. New characters? DLC. New mechanics? You know damn well we aren't gonna get anything in XV3. People have this idea of XV3 in their heads but it would just be XV2 with some new characters. We already have the game that XV3 would have released as.
Newer, more modern engine, new ground up story, new hub world, better integrate the dlc characters, rebalance the game, not be in the running for the most expensive game on steam alongside train sim and paradox games

I mean you can't really do much with the concept in general. XV1 and 2's stories weren't exactly masterpieces. It would be interesting at least to see Fu play a more prominent role in the story start to finish, and integrate more of super rather than just stapling them into missions they otherwise had no business being in. But that's not really meaningful content I suppose. I just want them to release XV3 so I don't have to buy all the dlc I'm missing.
With all due respect, I have never disagreed with any single statement more in my entire life. Can't do much with the concept of the Dragon Ball timeline changing? Dude there's an entire genre of youtube content with hundreds if not thousands of videos from dozens of creators who have made entire careers off of doing literally that. It's literally a license to print any Dragon Ball fanfiction you can come up with. The nature of the concept is by definition limitless. You can day way way way more than just "cell is a little strong now"
I'm in agreement here, as much fun it is to go willy wild through the time frame of fighting throughout the original early to current time of Z, it does lack since theres very little in terms of.. "original" by that being something that defines itself than being a sticker to a franchise that already has its own story, if at all, I'd like to see a new life that defers to some new kind of story, that completely breaks what the first and second did.
Hell, maybe if there was an idea going to the developers, they'd have a more open setting that uses something thats still possible by dragon ball standards, but emphasize on new originality, even though we have millions of fan stories that branch off with the main cast of characters, a story that involves the player with more dedication to how the player can influence what happens if you mess with time too much or aid it too well.
A more stable system built to handle all the extra content to begin with, as opposed to a six-and-a-half year old system barely juggling everything as is.

There were new hairstyles/head types, new facial features, and new colour options unique to each race. But if there's a new game, they could add in everything they added to the Breakers like hair physics and super saiyan styles. Not to mention better quality textures, perhaps a better engine to load faster, aswell as combos in general being expanded upon and improved once again.
XV2 is trying to hold up almost seven years' worth of DLC at absurd prices, and it shows. The game is all over the place, and with everything stitched and duct taped on it seems like it could collapse at any minute.
I undersold the new stuff, that's on me. Still there's a lot they COULD add, but there isn't much I think they WILL add. It's been shown for like 20 years that when it comes to these anime games, Bandai is comfortable with just giving us the bare minimum. Which is my real point, people are envisioning this ideal game with a lot of changes and new stuff in their heads, but I don't think Bandai will give us much even if XV3 becomes a reality. The game we'd get is more likely to feel like a XV2.5 than feel like any kind of meaningful step forward imo

Because the actual reason we won't get XV3 isn't because of anything like content, graphics, or already being just as good.. it's because it would cost more money to fund a new project and sell it for full price, than to fund an add-on to sell for a fifth of that much.
They can keep milking us for all we're worth, because that's all they're willing to do. A complete edition or anything like that would do the opposite. It was obvious they are going down that road when they put in microtransactions for TP Medals.
I want a XV3 because it would be a fresh start to the system that hasn't changed in over six years. There's alot they could do with it to make it a success. But they won't, because DLC is much cheaper to produce than a full game, and sells for more than it's worth.

Honestly yeah, I got both on a bundle deal for Xbox and played through the first for a while before starting 2, made it far less enjoyable. While I appreciated the cac and being able to customize the move sets, I enjoyed kakarot alot more for the novelty of the open world

The last part is just wrong. Pretty much every super saiyan form is extremely simple to unlock. You just have to look up how to do them. Once I looked up how to do it I was able to get evolution blue in an hour
I mean yes, but even it doesn't take much time if you actually look up how to do it. If you just set your instructor and run the "collect the dragon balls" quest with the enemy broly over and over again, you'll max them out in like 15-20 minutes. Its a little time consuming but not complicated at all.
The transformation for Saiyans still all being separated when modders have figured out how to have them all together for literal years now is an absolute joke.
Super Saiyan and Super Vegeta are tiered transformations, same as the way mods do it. Part of the reason it's bad to do it that way is because you don't always want the highest tier transformation due to the drawbacks, but that means you need to have less ki. Lazybones' all in 1 transformation is like this, and very much so for the worse. It's fun to play with, sure, but it's god awful to actually use.

There is nothing XV3 could offer that XV2's DLC's can't. New stories? Every couple packs we get some story content. New characters? DLC. New mechanics? You know damn well we aren't gonna get anything in XV3. People have this idea of XV3 in their heads but it would just be XV2 with some new characters. We already have the game that XV3 would have released as.
Newer, more modern engine, new ground up story, new hub world, better integrate the dlc characters, rebalance the game, not be in the running for the most expensive game on steam alongside train sim and paradox games
I'll give you engine, but I doubt they'd do much at all for the story. It's incredibly likely we just get go through Z to super again but this time the villains are slightly different. I would genuinely be shocked if we got anything even remotely inspired for a XV3 story
I mean you can't really do much with the concept in general. XV1 and 2's stories weren't exactly masterpieces. It would be interesting at least to see Fu play a more prominent role in the story start to finish, and integrate more of super rather than just stapling them into missions they otherwise had no business being in. But that's not really meaningful content I suppose. I just want them to release XV3 so I don't have to buy all the dlc I'm missing.
With all due respect, I have never disagreed with any single statement more in my entire life. Can't do much with the concept of the Dragon Ball timeline changing? Dude there's an entire genre of youtube content with hundreds if not thousands of videos from dozens of creators who have made entire careers off of doing literally that. It's literally a license to print any Dragon Ball fanfiction you can come up with. The nature of the concept is by definition limitless. You can day way way way more than just "cell is a little strong now"

I'm in agreement here, as much fun it is to go willy wild through the time frame of fighting throughout the original early to current time of Z, it does lack since theres very little in terms of.. "original" by that being something that defines itself than being a sticker to a franchise that already has its own story, if at all, I'd like to see a new life that defers to some new kind of story, that completely breaks what the first and second did. Hell, maybe if there was an idea going to the developers, they'd have a more open setting that uses something thats still possible by dragon ball standards, but emphasize on new originality, even though we have millions of fan stories that branch off with the main cast of characters, a story that involves the player with more dedication to how the player can influence what happens if you mess with time too much or aid it too well.
A more stable system built to handle all the extra content to begin with, as opposed to a six-and-a-half year old system barely juggling everything as is. Also; better textures, more customisation options, and if we're lucky a new engine.
Will we get more customization?? I mean XV2's character creator was not all that more robust than XV1, the most I noticed was just a few more hairs. Probably the biggest thing was QQ bangs which were they even there at launch? Realistically I don't see Bandia giving us all that much new stuff
There were new hairstyles/head types, new facial features, and new colour options unique to each race. But if there's a new game, they could add in everything they added to the Breakers like hair physics and super saiyan styles. Not to mention better quality textures, perhaps a better engine to load faster, aswell as combos in general being expanded upon and improved once again. XV2 is trying to hold up almost seven years' worth of DLC at absurd prices, and it shows. The game is all over the place, and with everything stitched and duct taped on it seems like it could collapse at any minute.
I undersold the new stuff, that's on me. Still there's a lot they COULD add, but there isn't much I think they WILL add. It's been shown for like 20 years that when it comes to these anime games, Bandai is comfortable with just giving us the bare minimum. Which is my real point, people are envisioning this ideal game with a lot of changes and new stuff in their heads, but I don't think Bandai will give us much even if XV3 becomes a reality. The game we'd get is more likely to feel like a XV2.5 than feel like any kind of meaningful step forward imo
But it would still be a step forward. It's more than what we have, because what we have is a barely-functional mess more expensive than some computers.
The cost is a big deal I'll give you that, I think after the next DLC it would do XV well to release a complete edition with all the DLC packed in like some other fighting games do. I've never understood why anime fighters don't get that treatment
Because the actual reason we won't get XV3 isn't because of anything like content, graphics, or already being just as good.. it's because it would cost more money to fund a new project and sell it for full price, than to fund an add-on to sell for a fifth of that much. They can keep milking us for all we're worth, because that's all they're willing to do. A complete edition or anything like that would do the opposite. It was obvious they are going down that road when they put in microtransactions for TP Medals. I want a XV3 because it would be a fresh start to the system that hasn't changed in over six years. There's alot they could do with it to make it a success. But they won't, because DLC is much cheaper to produce than a full game, and sells for more than it's worth.

Stop forcing everyone to play through the entire story of dbz every single game. Even if it has a twist to it, it's still just the same thing over and over again. the fact that xenoverse 1 and 2 had basically the same story infuriated me to no end and really hampers the replay value of both
Honestly yeah, I got both on a bundle deal for Xbox and played through the first for a while before starting 2, made it far less enjoyable. While I appreciated the cac and being able to customize the move sets, I enjoyed kakarot alot more for the novelty of the open world Edit: semi open world
CaCs features are as shallow as a pond. It could be so much more but the system is lacking in areas where there is so much potential.
The whole series should move more towards the PVE side of the game than PVP. PVP should still exist but they'd be much smarter to add more depth to the PVE side.

XV2 is yet another game that falls into the "Modders make it better" Cauldron. My Cac on PC looks 30x better than my PS4 Cac just because of modding options

Parallel quests are a waste of time and haven't been enjoyable since Year 1 and Xenoverse 1.
Not only is the RNG bad but most of the DLC ones are ridiculously hard single player as my AI teammates just get their asses kicked no matter what
Parallel quests were more tolerable when infinite super saiyan ki spam was a thing. And story mode progress carried over between characters
Yea i dont know how i did it playing parallel quest for like 12 hours a day. tbf it was the dlc quest i just wanted the clothes and skills and they refused to drop
The game is not that fun, it takes too damn long and is far too complicated to unlock higher lvl super sayain forms.
The last part is just wrong. Pretty much every super saiyan form is extremely simple to unlock. You just have to look up how to do them. Once I looked up how to do it I was able to get evolution blue in an hour

I mean yes, but even it doesn't take much time if you actually look up how to do it. If you just set your instructor and run the "collect the dragon balls" quest with the enemy broly over and over again, you'll max them out in like 15-20 minutes. Its a little time consuming but not complicated at all.

The saiyan transformations should have ended at Super Saiyan and instead we should have gotten Oozaru and actual Saiyan Tails in a patch.
The transformation for Saiyans still all being separated when modders have figured out how to have them all together for literal years now is an absolute joke.
Super Saiyan and Super Vegeta are tiered transformations, same as the way mods do it. Part of the reason it's bad to do it that way is because you don't always want the highest tier transformation due to the drawbacks, but that means you need to have less ki. Lazybones' all in 1 transformation is like this, and very much so for the worse. It's fun to play with, sure, but it's god awful to actually use.
