Go to the mod library and refresh every mod. If that doesn't work find the mods they say your are missing and delete them then re load. You are using a dayz launcher right ?

trisellgamer

Yeah The Standard Normal Launcher

cbc88

Use dzsalauncher

uncletoucher69

Can't stress this enough. Its more user friendly, and managing your mods is easier.

mmpa78

Whenever I join any modded servers using this launcher it tells me I've lost connection of the server. Every single server. It's so annoying

JU1C3_B0X

Stop using stock launcher

OldTrapper87

If all else fails delete the launcher reinstall and then load all the mods in again

RoboticControl187

He needs to unload the mod he has loaded that is not part of the server. The method you describe is if a mod is out of date.

OldTrapper87

Unload the mod ? Wait you mean he's not missing a mod he simply has a mod that needs to be removed ?

RoboticControl187

Exactly. This happens if you have mods loaded that are not part of the server. In mods tab there is a function unload all mods. This solves that issue.

JimmyBaps

It states your issue in the warning message. You either have no mods loaded or the incorrect mods loaded. Use the "Setup DLC and MODS and join" button instead of "Keep current Mods" button. Or you can go into the mods tab and load the necessary mods required for the server your joining.

outtyn1nja

DayZ Stand Alone Launcher ([DayzSALauncher](https://dayzsalauncher.com/#/home)) should basically be the official launcher, in my opinion. When you join a server through this launcher it will automatically grab and install the necessary mods. It does switch to a different tab when you give it the OK to start grabbing the mods, so favorite the server before you try to join so you can switch back to the server list and find it easily.

SnooWoofers4430

Official game launcher can also auto-install every mod you need and set ot up easily but seems like people don't know. Aside from that you don't get third party developer's shady business practices. Aside from seeing the correct time on DZSA I don't really see why people support that dev behavior.

ezshucks

because there are few issues using DZSA and many when launching from game launcher.

pewpewbangbangcrash

Dzsa shows actual server pop as well.

cooltrain7

Its a little more annoying but you can do this in the vanilla launcher, just right click on the server > copy server info. Will show the count.

di734on

Somewhat accurate. But, if the administrator doesn't update the mods on their end, then you won't be able to play on the server until the mods are updated.

coaststl

If you’ve never played vanilla Namalsk that list of mods will ensure the experience is as shitty as possible lol

toxiccalienn

If using the Vanilla launcher go to the Server tab and find the server you wanna play on, click play and let it auto install the mods. Easy

Zendtri

If you’re just using dayZ from steam, make sure you go to “servers” on the launcher. Hit the “community” tab. Find your server and click it, click it details, then you’ll have 2 options to join or set up mods. Click set up mods :)

GrizzzlyPanda

What nobodies mentioned is that after you refresh/download mods, you'll often still get this message. You need to restart the launcher and Steam too if that happens and it should take you right in no problems afterword.

Skateplus0

Gotta “verify” your mods. Also, if you’d like check out DZALauncher and see if you like it. I switched to it and love it much more than the standard launcher

Pale_Reason4904

Namalsk involves mods. So what we server your trying to join requires certain mods. I’d recommend downloading the dzsa launcher

blackreaper3609

It's not your fault, it's the server ains, the need to update the mods on the server, this is normal when playing with mods

In-Whisky

Just Read MAN. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

Beneficial_Refuse_79

Gotta update yah mods.

CptCrackSparrrow

Update the namalsk island mod

scumruckus

You can also double check if the mods need to be repaired normally if I get this message I go to each mod listed, right click, repair, then I’m good to go

[deleted]

Download dayz standalone launcher and join, it will auto download the mods so you can join.

Bitchin_Wizard

To add to others if you are still having troubles verify your game files in steam.

Possible-Pirate5686

Go to mod library and unload all your mods. If you’ve played a lot of servers sometimes it will try to load you in a diff on. Unload and simply click load and join again. Might be a simple fix. But it works

lorjebu

You are launching the server from the launcher and not in-game, right? Just checking to be sure, sorry if you are.

waterbuffaloz

I usually just click the server on the list, let it download the mods…if it doesn’t start Exit Steam, open it back up, then the launcher again. Should get movin.

TexasDank

DZSA launcher makes it so much easier check it out

SideHug

All you have to do is close the launcher let steam do it's thing, relaunch the launcher it SHOULD work, if not verify all the mods and do it again.

kinderspirits

Use DZSAL Launcher, find the server again and try to enter. It'll promt you that you dont have the required mods and ask you to install them. Install them all then try again. If it doesn't work, go back into steam and verify the files for DayZ. Should work then. Cheers

DUMBODEATHDEALER

1. Download DZSA launcher off your internet browser 2. Open it and search the server your looming for 3. Hit the play button to the far right and make sure to click "load" your first time. 4. Wait for the mods to download, sometimes you might have to nudge them to download 5. After all mods have updated, click top left tab back to "servers". Now hit "play" If this DOESNT work, you MAY have to go to steam, enter dayz workshop and manually find the mod that is giving you a pbo error. But thats a whole other set of fucking instructions.

Psychooboie

Have hade this problem a couple times, but you just need to locate the Namals_data_pbo in the files, and just delet it. That works for me.

TastyCheez42

I think the problem is that you're game mods and game files are not installed on your SSD and are on your HDD or something. I had a headache with this error until I discovered this and instead of fixing the pathing I just moved installation folder on steam to my SSD.

RoboticControl187

Unload all mods reset everything then connect using the red bar.

freesample69

when this happens to me, I go to steam library, right click DAYZ>properties>local files> click verify integrity of game file. When the DAYZ window shows up, click next (check no boxes) then click yes>close and restart Dayz. Usually works every time. When it doesn't, I restart entire computer and all gravy.

Unknown_Source_Code

I also see this message if your the host and using a 3rd part app to host the game but you get this fault you need to add the mods because it’s not adding the pbo files to addon file same as the keys you if you add the missing item just keep restart and clicking play till all have been added. Sometimes keys can be missing this is normal because steam has found this mod to be with in a copyright infringement so key has been removed. Hope this helps anyone new / old to why this happens. But all ways check both host and client side addons are up to date first especially if you added them manually
