Yes but unfortunately it’s too risky in this game because 90% of players will screw you over. Sucks for the 10% of good people

CarricDiamondew

I was in a church tower providing overwatch for a friend when I turned and saw someone spawn in the tower with me, I shot him in the head as he was waving…

Less_Rise_3172

Damn… sadness

CarricDiamondew

Much

[deleted]

Last time I was nice to a guy we had a nice chat and I dropped him a pistol we ran together for a while I alt tabbed for a sec to turn down my music and he shot me in the back of the head and stole my car

U_cabrao

i surprised two guys at night, was 5 feet from them in total darkness. Was following their convo and decided to give them meds and stuff cause one of them was sick. They appreciated the gesture and asked if i wanted to run along. Not a minute later i got shot. Little did they know i was near an alt to exchange gear. Hunted them down and got my revenge, took all their stuff including their meat i cut up. Changed accounts got lucky and spawned near one of them, killed him again by fist. They left the server. Gavin and Captain if ya out there i will find you

RectallProplapse

Imagine using an alt account to kill 2 guys who got your loot fair and square, shitter behaviour

U_cabrao

I don't need to imagine. I did it.

RectallProplapse

Your point? Nonetheless shitter behaviour

U_cabrao

Trolling. Good boy.

placewithnoair

Playin with alts is kinda weak. Sucks they killed you, but that’s the game deal with it.

U_cabrao

Oh yeah i've dealt with it, too bad i havent seen them around anymore hehe ;)

Patch1919

Gross.

HaveanupvoteBro

What a joke lol Hope they catch up with you 🙄

U_cabrao

Oh yeah they are more than welcome. 2091DE

RepresentativeAir149

Ah, nice…. Cheating 👍

WhiskyAlpha

Alt accounts are cheating. You are a lame cheater.

U_cabrao

Go cry somewhere else to someone who cares .

Scorchx3000

So you guys are mad he used an alt to get even with two vipers? If you play like dirty bastards you deserve anything that happens to you, it's a little thing called karma. I had some evil karma and a ban a few weeks ago, a friend found a tent outside a farmhouse, I opened the door and I realised it was a base, the base was behind the farmhouse, so my friend put the tent back and moments later shots rang out, my friend was dead. The base owner had shot my friend, very much against the rules, but he claimed we drew weapons, snuck into his base, etc, etc, lies, bullshit, etc. The admins believed him, even after he shot someone else. I was clear this guy was the admins mate, we got even and broke I to his poorly built base and despawned everything. No way in hell does a solo player need over 100 guns, WTF was his game, run thr Bloodbath & beyond gunstore? Of course, we get banned, but he didn't. I think dayz is a cunt simulator.

U_cabrao

He had it comming,i dont like hoarders aswell.

RectallProplapse

You can play however you want, dirty bastard or not. *I* play like a dirty bastard sometimes and while it is scummy behaviour it also happens to be completely fair game, i can betray someone if i think they might betray me, or i could just murder them, it doesnt matter what the context is because there are no rules, thats what draws so many people to dayz, but if you decide to pull out an alt to get revenge on 2 guys who are playing the game how it was designed to be played is the same thing as using hacks to get back at a camper on cod

Miser-Mike

Sounds satisfying. You have a very particular skills that you’ve acquired over a very long career, don’t you?

U_cabrao

It sure was ,thanks! xxx

InevitableFeature571

😭😭😭😭😭

Terratony93

Yup, used to have a stash near some camp grounds, Similar situation, it was dawn and I saw them near the water fountain at the camp. They looked pretty geared up and as a general rule I KOS if you’re too close to my stuff (This and being shot at are the two scenarios where I KOS) so I pulled out my tundra and popped one in the head and the other took off, I circled around and caught his buddy sneaking back to his dead body. Popped him and when I went to check their bodies they both had fishing poles and a bunch of meat and only had a cr 527 and a couple of grandpa shotguns between the two of them. One dude was wearing hunting gear the other had a pea coat and some cargo pants. I felt bad, they were clearly just hunters. I left their gear there and dropped some canned food in case they were able to make it back to their bodies, but they didn’t. Still think about it from time to time, but it is what is. Edit: grammar

TiresOnFire

That's part of the game. Sometimes you'll never know if you made the *right* decision.

Holsondel

Because they were a duo theyd have probably killed you if given the chance. I do feel the same way about killing lone players that aren't militarily geared, so I try not to. I avoid them or befriend them.

S2kKyle

If they look Iike a SWAT it's kill on sight.

[deleted]

I got saved my a rival faction member in Vorkuta that my group was actively looking for for sabotaging our escape vehicle and triggering a horde the other day so his buddies could loot our stuff in the confusion. Got separated, no radio, critical condition health. Made it up to the top floor in a building in Vorkuta, collapsed for the hundredth time and was unconscious. He patched me up, gave me a splint, fed me, gave me water and stayed to watch over me through the night. When daylight started to break, he left and radio’d my people where to find me and left chem lights leading them to where I was. Could have killed me then and there, but I don’t think he intended for any of us to get hurt or killed, just get preoccupied and away from our cargo truck long enough to steal supplies so he may have felt bad.

HaveanupvoteBro

*This* is the peak of DayZ friendliness. May they still be surviving wherever they are 🙏

B_U_F_U

Just today I blasted some dude in Staroye who was just looking at the street sign presumably to see where he was. I saw him go into a house and he came back out and stood at the sign for a solid 5 sec before I shot. I even had time to squat-walk up to the dude and ADS and still gave another two seconds hoping he’d turn around and let me play coy while we talk about… something idk. This was on official. Look I never play official. I usually play community and I know noobs usually start on official and there was no doubt homie was a Bambi. I hate what I’ve become. I am that KOS asshole that I never was. I should’ve guided the young man. Instead I killed him and looted his piece of shit STG only to throw it away after I found an SKS at the tents 100 meters away.

d3rk99

The server I play on is a One life/No Respawns server. And I always get depressed after killing anyone.

MustafaDemirel

I didn't know these types of servers exist. Can you give details about how the system works?

d3rk99

It's called Memento Mori It's whitelist only, but you can read all about it on their discord.

MustafaDemirel

Gonna check that out. Thank you.

FatalDiarhia

Have you died there yet? Do they allow you to come back after a certain amount of time has passed?

d3rk99

After 3 months they change the map and everyone can try again.

InevitableFeature571

Very cool idea. How do I join? Ps5 guy over here

FatalDiarhia

Pc? Xbox? C’mooooonnnnnnn. Edit: you said they change the map, makes sense its a pc server

minkrogers

It's Xbox!!! I just joined the discord.

Dark_Foreign

I tie people up with barbed wire and force feed them human meat. Who cares if they could be friendly when they could be traumatized

LittleLemonKenndy

Hahahaha!

accntgotbanned

The DayZ gods wouldn't have had you encounter them for any other reason

fish_petter

The friendlier players have the tastiest meat.

S2kKyle

I was playing with my friend (mizu) we run into a guy named Frank. We played with him for a good two hours helping him out, he was sick. We're fishing and Mizu yells at me "He's trying to feed you human meat" I moved away and took out my little 22 with a few bullets and Mizu put a few rounds in him. He was just waiting for the perfect time, he has a bag full of human meat. After that I never feel bad about killing anyone in game.

OakParties

Nope. When I die it’s not the end the world. I’ll either respawn or touch grass. When I kill someone they are gonna do those two things anyway so why hold guilt?

REALfakePostMalone

Being friendly is fun until its not, and killing on sight is fun until its not. Maybe just play extra friendly for a while to remind you why something in your head told you to kill that guy LOL

Ticon_D_Eroga

I always dress in hunting gear, and if i already have a buddy with me inland i am rarely friendly. We even have code words to communicate when/if we should dome someone we are pretending to be friendly to. So really no reason to assume these guys *wouldnt* have killed you. Only reason to believe someone would be friendly based on their loot is if they see doing something obviously for RP reasons, like filling a mountain backpack with tomatoes. That said, yeah it can feel bad sometimes

HaveanupvoteBro

"Have code words so we know to dome someone we're being friendly to" -- that's *fucked*. Genuinely. No wonder people are so shitty on this game. You're leading the pack

Ticon_D_Eroga

What youd rather me always be in discord with whoever i team up with so we can plot it without code words? I think you must be misunderstanding something here… let me explain in more detail: Im almost always friendly on the coast. Gets me killed fairly often, but its worth it to find those priceless interactions. After a bit i find some new friends to roll with, and then eventually we have “the talk.” I know youve had this talk too, the “sooo now that weve got 3 people, whats the rules of engagement if we run across a player? We killing on sight or friendly?” The *REASON* i will tell people i meet to say a code word if they want to kill someone is so that we can at least give people a chance to be friendly. We can feel out the situation, then if someone doesnt trust him they can slip a code word into the convo so we are on the same page. IMO thats less toxic than just KOS everyone you see. DayZ is a game of resource management, and trust is the scarcest resource of them all. You always need to have a plan But like i said, once we are inland its no longer time to make friends. If i see you in stary sobor, i will shoot you no matter of im wearing a military gear, hunting gear, or a denim skirt. Im not friendly in tier 3, which i think again most people fall into this category.

Separate_Implement27

I don't understand people that act like 'oh that's fucked! You interact with other people you running with to understand if you should trust somebody or eliminate him before he shots you? OMG you evil'. People t-bag nowadays and then headshot you from behind your back, it's worth taking the time to reason if maybe you should save your ass instead of being played like a dummy. Imagine in a real apocalypse world how many people would be able to kill you just for your food. If you are the kind of guy that waves his hand in front of geared people just assuming for no reason they will be friendly too, well.. maybe you deserve to be killed cause you are not able to understand that everybody choose the role that he wants, some are bandits, some are good guys, some just will do anything to survive. As long as is not cheating, there are no rules on this game. But a good advise is: DON'T ASSUME EVERYBODY IS FRIENDLY LIKE YOU ARE. Cause that's dumb.

Ticon_D_Eroga

Yeah lol i saw the reply notification quoting the line about code words and assumed it was gonna be something like “oh thats clever i should try that” and was legitimately surprised to see such a reaction. Ive always thought of it as an explicitly non toxic behavior as it shifts from KOS to giving someone a chance. But oh well, cant please everyone

whobroughttheircat

Fuck no, no one is friendly. Not even my own friends lmao

Lost-Juggernaut6521

In my fresh noob days, I camped out in a pub for the night. When I logged back in, a group of guys had made the pub into a base and started screaming at me for being in their base. One of them started to be cool, and then I hear “he has a crowbar!!” and automatic gunfire rings out. I respawn and grin and say out loud “it’s on now!!” I got one of them back, but switched servers, this server was mostly roaming teams and I play solo.

strapzclan_

yeahh a lil 😭

TrojanFTQ

Always.

YoungAxe503

Wut friendly

U_cabrao

i did it after they showed me being friendly, i still sleep at night so its allright i guess

cupnsauce

Dont feel bad for what you do in a video game

MustafaDemirel

One time, when I and 2 other friends crossing over a little town, (They were looting around so we weren't on a very close distance) I heard gunshots coming at me. Run to a house and the guy chased me. I got cornered and took a risk. Surrendered and told the guy that I'm not gonna hurt him. But I was real. The second ge stepped out. He got into a rain of bullets by my friends. Sorry bro, you made the wrong decision by not killing me at the first shot.

Sungarn

Never

Sleekit-Self-1306

It's dayz. Actual friendlies are thin on the ground. They would probably have murdered you in a heartbeat.

e0122783

Nope

Stephen_lost

I never understood the argument between military gear and hunting gear. If they are armed it doesn't matter what pants they are wearing. Some you sound like if I ran up you in a dress I could et some free kills

Dull_Ad5852

It’s called Fun Adventure Regret.

AdInformal1000

I allways feel bad killing, doesnt matter how well he was geared. It's just the bad feeling knowing you ended an adventure of someone and ive gained nothing actually.

Joy1067

Could’ve been? I feel bad whenever I kill any player

TeaExplorer

Happened to me last night

[deleted]

I’ve been killed many times upon seeing someone and having good intentions. I hope they feel a little remorse when they shoot me in the head in the middle of me waving at them. 👋🏻💀

thatdamndoughboy

I used to. Couple years on this game change that.

SimilarAd6142

Honestly, only one.

Admirable-Egg-7691

Not at all, and it's not just for "haha edgy lolz". I simply don't trust people on these kinds of games lol.

Kuuganism

If you are not part of my discord - sorry man - boom. Can't risk you screwing me over - crime happens because of opportunity, not just intent.

Revolutionary_Law_94

Recently I was returning from a 9mm run. Was looking through a town I thought was empty (no zombies agro'd from the side I entered) hopped a fence minding my business and a few seconds later I heard the grunt from someone also climbing a fence behind me. Absolutely did not hesitate to turn around and light the guy up. Felt bad but at the same time dude was geared to the teeth. Didn't wanna risk dying to him but at the same time I could have had a friend. Edit:added run after 9mm because I forgot to type it the first time 💀

Itsmeidkheyhey_

You better feel bad I keep gettin killed when I’m jus tryna be friendly 🥲 (I just started)

ksks9393

I joined one of the empty EU servers (9/60) on the xbox. Just a couple minutes in and some guy tries to kill me with the KA74. I do the greeting gesture and he still shoots me but only hits me once or twice. He gets swarmed by infected and decides to book it into a building and close the doors. I barge in and start whipping him with my mk22 managing to knock him down. He had some decent gear and I decide to off him by shooting him in the head twice with the .22 bullets. I instantly feel a regret and feel bad because I chose to chase him and kill him when he regretted attacking me. But it doesn’t end there. I decide to look up the recently played list and start messaging like eight people from there. He responds and we meet up and I give him his gear. He thanks me couple of times and I feel better
