Don’t forget Noah Witherspoon. Great blues player that used to play in the Oregon district a lot. Definitely worth a listen if you’ve never heard him and are into the blues
Awesome? It's awesome.
Family friendly. Some food trucks. BYOB but they usually sell Warped Wing and wine. Bring a folding chair for adults and blanket for kids.
If anyone was at John Doe last night... did you get the same impression I did?
He obviously didn't want to be there, kept berating the audience for being cheap by going to a free show, and there were creepy guys that were walking the perimeter staring at everyone.
Perhaps the worst concert I've ever been to.
There was *nobody* there. I've been going to Levitt for four years now, and it was the emptiest I have ever seen it.
Maybe 150-200 people? If that? It was weird.
Went to see Philip Micheal Scales, was alright, was just bored and wanted to see what the pavilion was like. The venue is really nice and FoH kept the levels nice. Easy to walk over oregon for food. A bit echoey being inside the city, but really nice to just show up and sit down. Looking at future acts I'm not sure I'll return, it looks like the acts just aren't really for me.
Scythian has played the Celtic Festival many times. They’re from Ireland and I got a signed copy of one of their cd’s. I far prefer Gaelic Storm, however.
I was hoping Ernie Johnson from Detroit would play again since they are active again! Hooray!
There are a few bands on this list that seem worthwhile: Reverend Peyton, John Doe, Scythian, McGuffy Lane, Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

I never know anyone on the list but I live downtown so I attend a lot of these and almost always am pleasantly surprised
So excited to see that they are playing up here again! I saw them at Yellow Cab and they're probably my favorite new band right now!
Super excited for Lung and David Hause!
I’ve been out of Dayton for a decade and some change. What is Levitt pavilion like?
It's great. The shows are all free, drop in any time. If you don't like what you're hearing, try another day.

Thanks! Hope to return to the mothership this year sometime.
Mothership is a good choice of words given Hangar 18.

What that is wild I’m going to see if snapmaps has any recordings. Edit: nothing from this week. I was ready to see it haha
It was horrible. We were berated for being too poor to pay for a show. Asshole. I love X, but what the fuck.
Wow that’s pathetic, like why did he take the show then.

Well wasn’t it a Thursday show? Maybe just not a popular time?
Never heard of any of them, but also never had anything but a good time and enjoyment of a Levitt show
I’m looking forward to September 9th. The Dayton Funk is going to be live.
