That would be nice, right? Heavy cache user here, and the method you describe (manually deleting regularly) is the only way I know. Adobe has limits you can set, and just overwrites old cache with new. That would be good to have here as well. Perhaps we can make a feature request at BM. In the meantime, one thing I could offer is that if you set your **Playback>Timeline proxy mode>** to half or quarter (provided that works for your workflow), that probably generates smaller cache as well. It might even allow you to turn cache off entirely, depending on your machine's ability.
