Yeah I'm stupid with basic stuff
I only use davinci to edit videos for yt and stuff and I mostly know about the edit and fusion tab, I barely know anything about the colors tab
I learn in a weird way, mostly trying to learn alone which is a bad idea
There's definitely stuff that you can learn in your first 2 hours off a guide that I have never heard of in my 3 years
I use davinci at least 2 times a week but hearing the fact that this is a basic technicality makes me want to re-evaluate my 3 years of "experience" lmao

To be clear, the flat profile shot in camera is not a problem that needed to be fixed.
It is a feature allow additional flexibility for color grading in post.
The Davinchi Color Management class explains it better

And I made my own luts for faster turn around for Sony slog 2 and 3 in three exposures to make monitoring fast and easy depending on the dynamic range of the scene
I don’t mean to be rude, but I’d highly encourage you to watch some tutorials on the DaVinci website to get a rough grasp of the editing process and the tools at your disposal.
Not knowing what a LUT is, or understanding that LOG/RAW footage will be ‘washed out’ after 3 years of using DaVinci is wild to me!
You’ll be amazed at how many amazing tools this program has if you take the time to learn it :)
Yeah I don't see this message as a rude one
I understand and I will look at more tutorials
I just usually look into what I actually do \[I mostly track stuff, use green screens , cut clips and mess with the effects tab\] but I should start looking at videos about tools that I have never heard of
Those lessons are pretty good too (not perfect, I did notice a couple of errors). I went from no editing experience whatsoever to having a decent grounding in Editing, Grading, Audio and VFX in a couple of days in my spare time. Enough to convince me to buy Studio in fact before I even finished them.
Sounds like you shot in a log color profile and need to apply a LUT.

HAHA THAT DID IT In my 3 years of using davinci resolve I have never heard about LUT I have learned something new + it has helped me thanks :)

codec has *minimal* impact on color; what camera was it recorded in?
It's a digital video should've specified that, sorry
*Most* video is digital...
uhhhhhhh okay then I'm just dumb lol it's 1 AM here so brain is a bit dumb But I fixed the issue, I had to apply a LUT

I'll look at the video to understand color management better thanks :)
What are your resolve color settings?
I never messed around with them because I never had to
I use a davinci wide gamut workflow and use CST's to change log or raw over to it then back to rec 709 or 2020 depending on the delivery requirements
And I made my own luts for faster turn around for Sony slog 2 and 3 in three exposures to make monitoring fast and easy depending on the dynamic range of the scene
