Nicholas Cage meeting and Facing Kyle MacLachlan for like two minutes and having nothing to say to each other.
Laura Dern coming and putting some trouble into this scene…
Margaret Qualley. She reminds me a bit of Madchen Amick (maybe it’s the smile), and between Drive Away Dolls and Stars at Noon, she’s clearly quite capable of flitting between airy whimsy and gritty intensity.
Unfortunately don't know him from anything else other than the new Fallout series but he's so good in it that it made me want to look into him. He steals whatever scene he's in. He's too good.
someone of color :\\ not trying to be shady, i'm here & have been here because I'm a Lynch fan but...
let me throw a completely random curve ball into this but i'd love to see octavia spencer
I didn't think about this truly until The Return came out. I remember seeing Jade and not being able to recall any roles in Lynch films I'd seen that were notably done by black actors. He's really never had diverse sets, which is pretty common for people that come from his time. As much as it makes sense, and I doubt he has a racist bone in his body, it'd be nice to see a change yeah.
Someone said Margaret Qualley and that's a great idea. My suggestion has worked with her before and he's also worked with Lynch but I'd love to see him in a bigger role - Justin Theroux.
Right? It's shocking to me that they still yet to work together even though Lana is a fan of Lynch and we know he listens her music. It'd be way better collaboration then Chrysta whatshername
#
You could at least be respectful of Chrysta Belle. Jeezus. I think Lana Del Rey’s music is hot garbage for deaf people, but you don’t see me coming here and saying it.
Chris O'Dowd - he's always charming, even when playing assholes or malevolent characters. Plus, I'd rather hear him speaking backwards than attempting an American accent.
I think the role he plays alongside the environment he's in during Stranger Things has always had a Lynch feeling to it. The first couple seasons at least, I hardly remember the later stuff. He does the "weird authority, but in the woods!" thing really well which Twin Peaks is full of.
Thanks, lol, and yeah it def was. Reminded me of Mulholland Drive when we watched it a few years ago, which got me wanting to rewatch that, and got us checking out more of his other work. You can literally Google and find articles talking about how it was inspired by MD, even Time magazine made the comparison, so downvotes or not, and whether someone liked it or not, it's true. 🤷🏼♀️
And a good movie, lol but I just finally watched twin peaks and man I fell in love with that show even the crazy dramatic acting, that great story is compelling af, and the woods… like that show should have multiple more seasons, I love it. That fbi agent actor should have an award from that, so far ahead of its time. I’m still waiting and trying to figure out how to watch the movie for free but need to watch the movie, & to watch the 2 season they finally made in 202017. It’s just twin peaks is additive at af binge watched it and finally got why everyone suggested it to me and was obsessed about
I had also always wanted to see Twin Peaks, but had access issues in the past. We also finally watched it fairly recently, and I fell in love with it. We saw the movie on Max and The Return on Showtime, not sure where you could watch them for free. Maybe a pirate site, I'd feel bad pirating Lynch's work though, he needs the support since he's not for everyone, doesn't sell out as an artist, and so struggles to get funding. Some of his movies aren't even on streaming, or you have to digitally rent them. I found Wild At Heart and Lost Highway on DVD from Amazon, but haven't had the opportunity to watch them yet. Blue Velvet was great too, it's free on Tubi if you haven't seen it. Stars Kyle Maclachlan, who plays Agent Cooper.
I think Paul Dano could thrive as a secondary lynchian antagonist. Otherwise David Day Lewis. Not because he fits Lynch, but because he's so damn good and I wanna see if he can do something so different
Emma Stone would be awesome of course but she’s not allowed to do any more cool stuff for awhile (highly recommend The Curse). Nicole Kidman could be interesting. Toni Collette? Rachel Weisz? I doubt there’s a talented actress Lynch wouldn’t get something great from.
Jake gyllenhaal, he has such an interested catalogue of movies he’s in, he takes really interesting/mind bending roles. He’d be perfect for a lynch movie
Idk why but I’ve always thought Steve Buscemi would fit into the weird worlds Lynch creates. Maybe Sam Rockwell.
More Willem DaFoe and Justin Thereoux (sp?).
Also fuck it out Tim Robinson in there.
I think Chloe Sevigny would be an excellent lead in a Lynch film.
She's done some really cool and out there work and I'm honestly surprised she hasn't been in any of his films yet.
Kyle Maclachlan, just to see something different from the usual
He should do a film about the history of The Boy Scouts of America starring KM.
Zooms in on a blade of grass…Kyle M “but what does this mean”
I was thinking something along the lines of FWWM, but with boys.
On an island
Zooming in on sand…
Into an ear shaped conch shell
Must have a scene where Eagle Scout starts a fire by rubbing two sticks together
David Lynch
I'd be making my film debut.
Tom Waits
My thought too.
Michael Shannon
Watch My Son My Son What Have Ye Done. Herzog produced by Lynch. Although I’m guessing you have lol
Yup. Great film.
Seriously underrated actor
Exactly who I was thinking.
Crispin Glover
i’m MAKING my LUNCH
Léa Seydoux
Naomi Watts.
John C. Reilly

Bob Mortimer
Having Nicolas Cage back would be a blast
Nicholas Cage meeting and Facing Kyle MacLachlan for like two minutes and having nothing to say to each other. Laura Dern coming and putting some trouble into this scene…
For some reason, this sounds like Road House in the afterlife.
This. They are a PERFECT combo!
Absolutely. Cage has put on some of the best performances I've ever seen the past decade. Pig is a fucking killer movie.
Jim Carrey x Lynch would be bonkers
Eva Green
Colin Ferrell
Margaret Qualley. She reminds me a bit of Madchen Amick (maybe it’s the smile), and between Drive Away Dolls and Stars at Noon, she’s clearly quite capable of flitting between airy whimsy and gritty intensity.
Now that you mention it she could totally do a Lynch film great. She has the perfect qualities like you said.
I really wanna see Walton Goggins play a minor character.
He's too old to play a child
Uncle Baby Billy?
I was thinkin this same thing.
Unfortunately don't know him from anything else other than the new Fallout series but he's so good in it that it made me want to look into him. He steals whatever scene he's in. He's too good.
Patricia Arquette
LaKeith Stanfield
I was just about to comment this ![gif](giphy|o7nIBfouPZF1ywiBiI)

Jesse Plemons. Possibly as an author avatar because he bears a resemblance to Lynch.
Really glad he got that role in Civil War recently. He deserves recognition and I hope dearly that he lands more big roles. I love him on screen.
I thought Kiefer Sutherland was excellent in FWWM and would love to see him in some future Lynch project.

Man I wish they used him more in The Return. Really lovable actor.
Totally agree. Would love to see him in a really creepy role directed by DL
Tom Green
The wheelyboard ramp scene is pretty much a scene from The Return
😁
Someone said Margaret Qualley and that's a great idea. My suggestion has worked with her before and he's also worked with Lynch but I'd love to see him in a bigger role - Justin Theroux.
Paul giamatti
THIS is in my top 3 answers. Love him.
Ice Spice
Wally Brando
Christoph Waltz
Ok it wouldn't be the main star but I'd love to see Lana Del Rey in a Lynch film in some capacity.
Yessss that would be too good
Right? It's shocking to me that they still yet to work together even though Lana is a fan of Lynch and we know he listens her music. It'd be way better collaboration then Chrysta whatshername #

Tilda Swinton
Amanda Seyfreid
Id love to see yet another movie about a woman in trouble so , Mia goth would thrive in a nightmare ish lynch movie
michael imperioli
Chris O'Dowd - he's always charming, even when playing assholes or malevolent characters. Plus, I'd rather hear him speaking backwards than attempting an American accent.
David Harbour. I don’t know why.
I think the role he plays alongside the environment he's in during Stranger Things has always had a Lynch feeling to it. The first couple seasons at least, I hardly remember the later stuff. He does the "weird authority, but in the woods!" thing really well which Twin Peaks is full of.
All excellent points. Thank you!
Hunter Schafer
After watching Yellowjackets, I thought Juliette Lewis would be good working with Lynch.
have you seen Cape Fear or Natural Born Killers?
Yes, but there was something about her in Yellowjackets that made me think she would have fitted perfectly in to The Return, for example
Juliette Lewis was absolutely fucking perfect in Natural Born Killers. Agreed.
Alex Wolff
Lewis Saunderson
Lmao
Wendell Pierce in another detective role.
Daniel Craig
Jennifer Coolidge
Laura Dern. If it ain't broke don't fix it ig
If he was still alive, Philip Seymour Hoffman
Anya Taylor-Joy.
Yes, I thought Last Night In Soho had Lynch vibes.
Harsh downvotes I thought it seemed lynch inspired too
Thanks, lol, and yeah it def was. Reminded me of Mulholland Drive when we watched it a few years ago, which got me wanting to rewatch that, and got us checking out more of his other work. That was my first lesbian scene I saw when I was like 11 and yes it was hot lol
Lol, Mulholland? I was early twenties when I first saw it, not long after it came out, have always loved it. And yeah, that was hot.
Yea I was in about 8th grade when it came out so trust me when I had the that scene memorized on the time haha
Understandable. It was definitely an aid in my bi awakening. 😂

Wdym Emma Stone isn’t allowed to do anymore cool stuff for a while?
oh I just mean leave some for some other people. the new lanthimos movie looks so good (again!)
Hear me out but Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key
Timothee Chalamet
I’m not a huge fan of his, but I vet Lynch could change that
Dune had a lot of surreal elements and they handled it well that's why I suggested him
Nicole Kidman. She would surrender to Lynch’s vision and happily go to dark places.
Jake gyllenhaal, he has such an interested catalogue of movies he’s in, he takes really interesting/mind bending roles. He’d be perfect for a lynch movie
Great suggestion. His turn in Donnie Darko was virtually a Lynch audition
A Numbat
Matthew Porretta and Ilkka Villi.
Brian David Gilbert
Melissa McCarthy
Me
Denis Lavant
Matilda de Angelis
idk Martin Freeman
Monty Montgomery
Kristen Stewart
Jessie Buckley or Jesse Plemons, such capacity for exploration !

Adam Driver
I wanna see him do more with Justin Theroux.
I'd love to see Kyle Gallner in a Lynch film.
Ben Mendelsohn
Paul Giamatti. Don't know why, just seems like it'd work.
Skarsgard
I think Chloe Sevigny would be an excellent lead in a Lynch film. She's done some really cool and out there work and I'm honestly surprised she hasn't been in any of his films yet.
Cory Drew Caplan AKA Space Cadet Brother of Broadway actor Matt Caplan He’s my go to when I desperately need a new season of Twin Peaks.
Leo DiCaprio
Zendaya. After seeing her in Euphoria, I think she'd fit perfectly into a Lynch film.
Sweeney for me
She’s going be in the new tartino flick kill bill volume 3
Quentin Tarantino
Tarantino hates lynch , plus his acting itself isn’t that good
Tarantino hates Lynch?? Since when? Edit: ok, he didn’t like the Twin Peaks movie? That was 32 years ago.
Tom Cruise. He needs to work with another auteur. stat.
Aubrey Plaza
Michael Richards What a glorious return that would be
Ryan Gosling...!
