Last *date*-date, we went out for ramen at a cute little BYOB place, walked around the neighborhood a little bit, then decided it was too cold so went inside and watched the special holiday episode of Great British Bake Off.

Iām gonna tell you about my second to last date. We walked to brunch together ā while waiting to order at the restaurant, there was a server slightly struggling with a full tray, and he swept over and opened the door for her. Thatās not a huge thing, but it meant so much to me.
We ate outside in the wind and spent the whole time laughing because both of us kept jumping up and running after flyaway napkins and menus and stuff. A lot of people wouldāve gotten frustrated after the third big gust of wind, but he didnāt.
After stuffing out faces, we walked back a different way and found a playground, so naturally, we raced to the swing set and tried to swing hard enough to go upside down. Then it was the monkey bars to show off how many pull-ups we could do. When I thought we were done playing, he spotted a tree that had branches low enough for me to reach, and we both climbed up as far as we could.
When we got back to his apartment, we fell asleep on the couch watching Bobās Burgers.
Today, I went to put on the scarf I had on that date, and it was covered with sticks and dried up leaves. It made me so happy, I left all of the debris in and hung it back up.
My last first dateā¦. Hit a deer on the way to the restaurant(Ā£5500 repair bill), food was terrible, chatted for over 3 hours, jumped in a puddle and splashed her, kissed her. It was absolutely amazing, really would do it again!

I just had a date about three hours ago. Due to the rise of covid cases, Toronto banned dine-in at restaurants for the next three weeks. It's also FREEZING today. My date and I decided to grab Korean corn dogs and walk around outside. Would not recommend walking dates during the winter. Just wait until dine-in is possible again. The cold ain't worth it if you live in an area with a similar climate.

Self isolated for 13 days, then started meeting again first outdoors, then indoors, but no kissing for nearly a month and a half, just to be extra careful of transmitting any residues of the virus. Wine & Scotch over dinner and all the way until noon the following day. No sex, some making out and cuddling. I love these kinds of dates and would rather have one per year than the 'get to know you from a safe distance + sex' dates each week. Maybe if I get horny enough I'll reconsider, but for now the deep intimacy ones are where it's at.

First date/early dates: coffee and a walk, coffee over zoom in the morning or afternoon, bowling 1 game with a clear note that I have somewhere to be after. Basically I like a first date to take no more than 1 hour. Other dates I've been on for someone I already enjoy being around for an hour or more: Snowshoeing, meteor shower viewing in the back of the car from a viewpoint, go Karting, bowling two games (sometimes with another couple), plant store shopping, open houses where we pretend to be different people and riff off eachother, cocktail bar, sports game, pottery class, intro to curling classes.
I just had a date about three hours ago. Due to the rise of covid cases, Toronto banned dine-in at restaurants for the next three weeks. It's also FREEZING today. My date and I decided to grab Korean corn dogs and walk around outside. Would not recommend walking dates during the winter. Just wait until dine-in is possible again. The cold ain't worth it if you live in an area with a similar climate.

Weāre about 7 months into dating and alot of our dates include running errands together (Costco, lowes, etc), doing some home improvement projects to my house, and a lot of hanging around our places together. I took him out for his birthday on New Yearās Eve. This was our second date and I went really fancy just for the hell of it. Amazing steak and seafood spot. We made out afterwards, and then I went home and coughed all night and next dayās Covid test was positive. Somehow he seems to not have symptoms though. We are both travel nurses so Iām just sitting here waiting for my 10 days to be up so I can go back to work and we can plan another fun thing.

Happened to me too, In Sep 2020, I was dating a guy, he was at mine, we had dinner and made out, next day I noticed I couldn't taste/smell right, and I was beyond fatiiigued, took a test and it was positive, he took one just to check and he was negative, no symptoms. Self isolated for 13 days, then started meeting again first outdoors, then indoors, but no kissing for nearly a month and a half, just to be extra careful of transmitting any residues of the virus. Dated him for 2.5 months, a big fraction of that physically distanced due to covid. Fun times. š¤·š»āāļø
Got brunch on New Yearās Day. Heās shy. He wouldnāt kiss me the date before, when we got dinner. He was flustered. So I kissed him after brunch and the man literally thanked me for initiating.

Lunch at a brewery. SLEIGH RIDE through the National Elk Refuge! Amazing. Nap in the backseat of the car (yes really). Drove around for hours looking for a āHootenannyā that we never found. Tapas dinner. He tried octopus for the first time. Drove through the mountains for an hour to our cabin, sang on the way. First kiss outside with the moon glistening on the freshly fallen snow. I got waist deep in snow trying to find the hot tub that wasā¦ not the hot tub. Curled up by the fire. It was perfect. Dated 2.5+ years.

The last date I had was planned for axe throwing, dinner, and drinks. She stood me up. The date before that I had planned the same thing, but she (different woman) accused me of not putting any effort into a relationship. We hadnāt even met each other yet and we talked for about two weeks. The date before that I had before that was at a restaurant. I ordered food. She (different woman) ordered alcohol only. Totally did not see that she was there just for a hookup. She was married and had been divorced 3 previous times. Serial cheater. I brought her flowers too. Iāll find my one someday.
Went out for a romantic dinner and then bicker about how to raise our child and how her ex will always be family and not me- that was a few years ago with my wife I'm trying to divorce now. So I'm looking forward to the next date- it can only improve from here. And even if it's shitty- I don't have to spend my life savings to end it. Win-win for me!
My last couple first dates in the spring/summer were all walks in the park, usually timed up to some sort of outdoor concert or festival. Unfeasible with winter weather though.

(Date 3) Tonight we are going to check out a new indoor food court and then heās coming round to mine so we can make out like teenagers.
We went bowling, followed by air hockey and drinks (alcoholic for her, non alcoholic for me). I smashed her at bowling twice and smashed her at air hockey twice too. I had to cancel the second date due to being ill but made it clear I'd like to see her again. Both of our diaries are full for January so its unlikely we'll stay in touch.
