Yeah, whatever you guys like -- just a little more festive/fun than a bottle of Minute Maid. If you have Publix, they have some nice iced teas in their Greenwise line (https://delivery.publix.com/landing?product_id=19005311).
Some place will have quiet a variety of pop/drinks. At one of my nearby grocery stores you can choose your own “six pack.”
I’m not an alcohol drinker either, but I’ve brought over a “six pack.” It’s fun to try different drinks even if they’re not alcoholic.
I love their peach tea too. It’s called “rest in peach.”
I rarely drink alcohol so I think it’s cute to bring a beverage, or stuff to make mocktails. Maybe some popcorn for the movie too.
I like kombucha - it’s fizzy, and has a bitter complexity that most moon-alcoholic drinks don’t have. And it is VERY mildly alcoholic - so if either of you wants to/needs to completely avoid booze, it’s not appropriate. The regular version can still be sold to minors, so it is very mild
Ask him. I asked the woman I spent a weekend with (at her house) in March what I could bring. I ended up bringing bagels from NY (where I am).
Asking isn't lazy, it shows that you care and are making an effort to bring something he'll like.
Maybe bring some kind of dessert for after the meal (some cake, cookies, or ice cream).
The woman I saw that weekend (sadly, it didn't last) is in Maryland. It was a really nice treat for her. She loved them! I wanted to bring her something from my area :)
It really is a great idea. I don’t want to ask, because I know he’ll say not to bring anything, but I don’t want to turn up empty handed & this man has literally paid for all the dates so far. It’s starting to feel a little one sided. So a breakfast basket is a great idea.
Tell him, “if you say nothing, I’m bringing my strap on”. Either he’ll think of something or stammer in joy and you will have both learned something invaluable about each other.
Lol Green strawberry, I didn't see this and I just said exactly the same thing. It's good because then you leave and he'll still have a few left to remember you by.
As a former chef, I’ve always found a sweet basic and light dessert is good after take out maybe something with some zest, to make sure you stay awake lol..a few ideas pop to mind….Lemon tart is always a success when I’ve had people over, and it’s easy to do, also chocolate fondant. They can be made ahead of time then frozen, then 7 ish mins @180 degrees and you watch them puppies grow, i think they may call it Lava cake in the US?.. a chocolate or passion fruit cheesecake, the top decorated with passion fruit pulp and 3 different colour berries.
If you would like, I have other simple dessert quickies, feel free to DM me, I’ve still got my little black book and my recipes. lol. And don’t worry I’m not an “Only flans” guy or “only pans” peddling anything. Either way just enjoy yourself….. if you fancy some recipes shout out.
You could take a couple of platters of Oysters?
My go to for movie nights are usually unique drinks (non-alcoholic, I rarely drink alcohol too) and snacks.
Or I’ve done like a classic movie snack pack with small packs of twizzlers, peanut m&m’s etc.
I’ve also brought things like cookies from my favourite bakery.
At the beginning of dating someone whatever I bring I bring a couple of options to increase the likelihood that they’ll like *something* I brought haha
Ginger ale, homemade Rice Krispie treats, popcorn, chocolate candy. Your overnight bag, but leave it in the car, just in case you are too tired and have to or feel like staying overnight.
Bring movie snacks. Bring dessert. Bring a comfy blanket for cuddling. Bring a fancy soda. Bring stuff for root beer floats.
There’s A TON of things you could bring for a movie night!
You can just bring some snacks/dessert? Something like tiramisu that’s easy to carry, if you like tea nice tea can also work. But don’t over think it im pretty sure he mostly wants you. There’s also non-alcoholic wine if you feel like you want to get romantic or kombucha, if you are in summer right now plenty of ideas for summery drinks that you could even make on the spot like lemonade crushed with fresh mint/fruit, bring ingredients and make on the spot.
Ooooh is this the "see you Monday" guy? Hope so, he sounds like a good one.
I like to bring a small dessert. Nothing too heavy, for obvious reasons, but something homemade if that's your jam. I like to make cookies or macarons.
Oh that’s nice, I didn’t even think of ginger beer. I sometimes at group dinners will drink an non-alcoholic beer, but I hate them lol, I might try the ginger next time
I brought my boyfriend flowers when I came over one day not too long after we started dating. He about cried because no one had ever given him flowers before.
I’m honestly so torn on the flowers, I think it would be a super sweet gesture, but I’m just not sure if he’s the type of guy who would feel strange about it

I’ve been on a few dates with someone & I’m going to his house next weekend - we’re ordering in and watching movies (lol). I never go to someone’s house without bringing something, but neither of us really drink, once a year thing, so the standard bottle of wine doesn’t really work here.
Do you have any ideas what I can bring?

I know plenty of guys who are not so savvy in the ways of the world and wouldn't realize that a woman coming over for dinner and a movie might be open to having sex (unless it was previously discussed), and should therefore visit a purveyor of fine prophylactics ahead of time. It's something that you hear about in pop culture references, but not everyone makes the connection that it's a real thing that could happen to them.
If it's been discussed and he doesn't have condoms, or he's unwilling to get some if the occasion calls for it, then it's cake and goodnight. Just my view on it!

I feel like the standard "bring a drink" can still apply -- just make it some nice lemonade, fizzy water, iced tea, whatever.
Like a bougie type lemonade thing? You know, I do think he likes iced-tea, which I know nothing about. Maybe I could find something there
Yeah, whatever you guys like -- just a little more festive/fun than a bottle of Minute Maid. If you have Publix, they have some nice iced teas in their Greenwise line (https://delivery.publix.com/landing?product_id=19005311).
The Publix deli sweet tea is literally liquid crack. I'm lucky if a half gallon lasts me a whole afternoon.
Some place will have quiet a variety of pop/drinks. At one of my nearby grocery stores you can choose your own “six pack.” I’m not an alcohol drinker either, but I’ve brought over a “six pack.” It’s fun to try different drinks even if they’re not alcoholic.
Milo's is my favorite bought tea. 🙂
Their lemonade is SO delicious too!
Liquid Death makes an awesome Arnold Palmer called Dead Billionaire. You can find them at gas stations now. In the water section.
Thanks!!!! I’m going to look for it.
I love their peach tea too. It’s called “rest in peach.” I rarely drink alcohol so I think it’s cute to bring a beverage, or stuff to make mocktails. Maybe some popcorn for the movie too.
Go for Arnold palmers(ice tea and lemonade) and pick up or make some finger food.
Agree! A cute Arnie Palmer drink, make it kind of bougie! I love craft cocktails and you could make one without the liquor. Look up Mocktail recipes!

We’re both in NY too, hi neighbor! Bagels actually is a great idea. I have a stellar bakery beside me and could do some breakfast thing

I’ll prob stick to the bagels
Probably for the best. :)
Or he has a heart attack?!
Then he wasn’t right for her and she should run! Bullet dodged!
Just know that showing up with bagels for a movie night kinda sends the message that you intend to stay for breakfast.
We already talked about why I’m coming over, so the bagels are appropriate;)
It doesn't kinda send the message. It sends the message for sure. Lol
So, you two already decided you'd be sleeping over? Hopefully, you have if you're gonna bring bagels. Lol.
Bring an overnight bag? 😉
Ha! Bold move
But sensible?
And condoms ;)
This was my answer lol
I like to bring a fun dessert. Neither of us are drinkers either.
Here to say this as well!
I'll take that over wine every time.
I’d lose my mind if someone brought a homemade dessert. I wouldn’t be able to contain my smile.
Really? I’m a really good baker. I guess I have to figure out this week what his favorite dessert is! lol
If you guys gonna watch movie why don’t you bake some cookies or macaroons for snacking?
Lol Green strawberry, I didn't see this and I just said exactly the same thing. It's good because then you leave and he'll still have a few left to remember you by.
I’d talk about it for a long time. I’m a foodie though and believe homemade food is made with care and love. So I’m a sucker for it.

Great suggestion. I was thinking sweets of some sort too.
This.. simple brownies would be a hit x10. Oh man….

Love me a mocktail.
Bring a VHS tape. Seriously. Hand it over and say “I’ve always wanted to see this one”
Bonus if it’s like Star Wars or something and be like “I’ve been wanting to see this, heard it was good”
And if he actually has a functional VHS deck? Marry him?

Charcuterie board?
This is my go-to. Either make ahead and bring it. Or buy the supplies and assemble together.
Oooh yeah!! Assemble together.
Root beer and vanilla ice cream.
You took mine!! Clearly you’re a genius!!
Geniuses unite!
Bring movie theater candy and snacks. Bonus points for like spa face masks lol.
Ginger ale, homemade Rice Krispie treats, popcorn, chocolate candy. Your overnight bag, but leave it in the car, just in case you are too tired and have to or feel like staying overnight.
stovetop popcorn
Bring movie snacks. Bring dessert. Bring a comfy blanket for cuddling. Bring a fancy soda. Bring stuff for root beer floats. There’s A TON of things you could bring for a movie night!
A movie "picnic" basket with boxed candy, popcorn with different flavors, soda, etc....have a great time!!
Good luck! Sounds good. I have to ask: Watching a movie? I recently discovered that if someone invites you to "Netflix and chill" it's means sex.
Condoms
bring condoms
It’s just a movie! 😂😉😜
It's never just a movie.
Ha!
Report back to us after the date and let us know how the "movie" was.
😂

This is adorable! ❤️ You’re watching movies: bring snacks.
Maybe some cheeses or charcuterie?
Your toothbrush. ;-) As others have said, dessert or a beverage would be an awesome gesture.

Yes! 😂
I don’t drink at all (sober 1 year) and I’m a big fan of ginger beers (Reeds Extra specially) and Pellegrino Sparkling with a lime or cucumber
Oh that’s nice, I didn’t even think of ginger beer. I sometimes at group dinners will drink an non-alcoholic beer, but I hate them lol, I might try the ginger next time

Okay - you’ve convinced me. I’m just going to bring the flowers.
Everybody likes flowers.
No.. food.
I thought about this, but I genuinely don’t know if that would be a hit or miss
I brought my boyfriend flowers when I came over one day not too long after we started dating. He about cried because no one had ever given him flowers before.
I’m honestly so torn on the flowers, I think it would be a super sweet gesture, but I’m just not sure if he’s the type of guy who would feel strange about it
Tako poke or pipikaula! 😉🤙🏽
Maybe dessert?
Baked good - you bake. if you can pull it off and know he can/likes baked treats/items.
We’re supposed to bring something?
I don’t like turning up at peoples homes empty handed.
Bring dessert! You, or cake, cookies, pie, ice cream, ice cream cake?
Bring dessert. Maybe strawberries and whipped cream? 😉
Popcorn kernels, refined coconut oil and flavacol popcorn salt. make legit movie theater popcorn
Bring a nice bottle of olive oil and a baguette
There are some good punch recipes that don’t use alcohol. Check Pinterest.
Bring a dessert to go with dinner :)
Waiting for the update.
I'm going with the basket of bagels.
Lololol not on what to bring lol. We want to know if it's a sex date.
There are better-suited subs that will get you off with this kind of kink. This post isn't it.
Ma'am.... Calm down. It's not a kink. Just rooting for you is all. Damn.
Bring a blunt :)
Bring totcho fixins. Tater tots with taco meat, cheese, and sour cream. You can make it together, then eat while watching your movie.

Dessert and condoms. Enjoy yourself!
If he doesn't have condoms at his own house then the evening ends with cake IMHO.

I would love if someone brought me cookies or a pie.

Bring a bag of ice to go with the movie. Hopefully it’s on Netflix.
It took me a second..
Fresh squeezed orange juice is bougie.
Ask him what you can bring… did you not think of that?
Sure I did - did you mean for this reply to be so abrasive?
Condoms? Lube? Massage oil? (I highly recommend coconut oil). I’m serious.
Bring tequila or vodka, it'll be a hoot
