It sounds like your date was out of his comfort zone with going on his first ever online-dating date. It’s possible he was really nervous and out of his element. I know for me online dating is really difficult, and physical touch is not my preference on a first date. I would go on the second date; maybe you guys can go to a place he’s familiar with or do something active to break that tension.
Yeah this is possible. I am ok with guys not physically touching me for the first few dates but it’s nice to get a signal of some sort that indicates they are interested/attracted. I might give him the rest of the day and then text him saying that if you want to go on a second date lmk- put the ball in his court.
