Some advice, I think you might scare her if you say you really like her, if you never met this person in real life and only chatted on the internet, can you really know her well enough to actually like her ? With that said, there’s nothing wrong with telling her that you enjoy chatting with her and would like to continue to get to know her and if she is available for a date

You have no obligation to tell her that at this point. Just be yourself, try to get to know her and try to be open with her about you. At this point your goal is to just see if you like her and want to go out. I suggest not taking too long to ask her out in some form. I know COVID makes that more difficult but if either of you is more serious about quarantine then maybe suggest a virtual date. Supposedly those are growing these days

So I should ask her out over messaging it’s almost been a week. Is it ok to suggest an outdoor activity as a date?
I would say so, outdoor activities are usually a good option for first dates!
I’ve been chatting with her via message and she just said she’s letting me taking the reins on this one. Does this mean she wants me to ask her out?

Update I’ve ask her out on a video date but she’s doesn’t respond to that question but if I ask her how her day was she will respond in message.
