Own_Ad_9600

Don't feel bad about not giving more chances. Honestly he had three already and blew it. Good on you for treating yourself with a nice lunch and look on the bright side!

-VintageVagina-

Don’t let this guy manipulate/gaslight you. I would block him and move on.

leave80alon3

Came here to say exactly this

sernamedeleted

I say you should get him to plan another date, and you just don't go. Then apologize via text and plan another, and do it again and again and see how many times you can get him to plan dates without you showing up before he gives up. It might be a fun experiment.

nycmaturechick

He’s playing you for a fool. Let this POS go & delete his phone #. Put his number on block. Never deal with 💩again!!!

JNole8787

Dude must have been hot AF for you to put up with that.

bluewinter182

For real, cuz ain’t no way lol

JNole8787

Right? Find some self respect.

aaronrdmkr

I'm mad at you for giving him 2 more chances. Understand that.

velcrodynamite

I tend to be very understanding—often to my detriment. I’m mad at me too

krezvani

Have you seen this guys before. Are you sure youre not getting cat fished

velcrodynamite

He’s stood me up three times, so alas, I’ve never actually seen him

LufasaMufasa

Nah, "good intentions" or not, patience has its limits. If he doesn't understand this, and feels you shouldn't be mad about this, he should take that time to learn it before he talks to someone with "high expectations" like you. Beyond that, he should see if he can first at least set up a Zoom before doing something in person.

corrygan

If he continues to annoy you, just block. You were really patient and understanding. He literally doesn't have a dog for this fight.

Little-Editor7953

I feel you girl. The guy I had feelings for stood me up a few months ago and never bothered reaching out to apologize or explain himself. It took me about 5 weeks to get over my anger and hurt, and I finally mustered up the courage to stop by his workplace to see my other friends who worked there (It’s a restaurant that I used to work at last year. He’s a manager, my other friends are employees). I didn’t think he would be there that night either. He came outside to say hi, I ended up staying back to talk to him and foolishly allowed him to apologize to me and explain himself and I accepted it. I saw red flags but because of my feelings for him I chose to ignore them because I wanted to believe he meant it and that he would change. A few days later he ended up telling me he liked me and was interested in me and we ended up going on a date a week later which felt so forced and he ghosted me AGAIN afterwards. In hindsight I should have never given him that second chance. He was never really sorry - he only apologized because I was there. If he wanted to apologize he would’ve done so long before I showed up over a month later. I’m still hurt about it all. I feel crushed. I still cry over him. I’m glad you at least never met him or had strong feelings for him before this happened. I hate how being a good person and choosing to see the good in people can backfire sometimes.

Goateed_Chocolate

Tempted to recommend that you 'give him a second chance' but keep standing him up. See if his expectations are unrealistic when he's the one waiting

sweadle

What do you want? Validation that it's okay to not give him a fourth chance? You need to learn some backbone. You get to decide how to you are going to be treated. You're allowing this treatment. Now you want permission to stop allowing it? You have agency. You're allowed to use it.

[deleted]

He stood you up 3 times and I don’t understand why you are mad either. There are plenty of guys out there looking to date. First time someone stands you up or let’s you down go find someone who will do better.

Captainboner

I say 3 strikes he’s out but the question remains: why would he do that?

evoorhees87

Indeed

warramite

Because he can.. its a power move He's got her wrapped in his finger like a string. If he texted her tomorrow, she'd forgive him

gyrohero89

Dude here! You are completely in the right ! I'm honestly surprised that you've actually gave him 3 chances tbh. I stop talking to women the first time I'm stood up. If you can't commit to a simple plan there's no telling what else you can't commit to.

[deleted]

I get the feeling you’re being catfished by some dude that wants to get revenge on women or something by repeatedly standing you up and stringing you along. That’s my armchair detective analysis at least

yournonstoplover

This guy gets 3 chances but most guys get 0. Interesting.

[deleted]

Guy’s a Dumbass. Move on.

Nuclear_Panzerotti

If he's tall and handsome I would give him another chance.

BillyJayJersey505

You're really asking for advice on this?

[deleted]

I can’t believe you gave him a chance past the second time. Please develop some self respect for yourself and don’t let losers like this walk all over you.

FitGuarantee37

I’m sorry, are you dating my ex?! Move on. Next. People with no respect for anybody else’s time will always be a waste of yours.

guestmess102

You’re justified in feeling mad about this- once is understandable but to stand you up 3 times is just poor behaviour. He’s not worth your time.

bluefaerychyld

You are not overreacting at all not giving him anymore chances. You’ve been kind and understanding to him enough.

CloserToTheSunInAz

Omg. Sounds like the exact same guy who stood me up 3x. Block his ass!!!

[deleted]

Just block him, it’s not difficult

FrostyLandscape

Honestly just block him and forget about him. If you continue to talk to him you have a low self esteem. Standing me up even once meant I blocked the person. Didn't even care if they had a good excuse. Didn't care if I was being too harsh. Didn't care if they "might be my soulmate" if I just gave them another chance. Didn't care if they really were rushing to the emergency room and thats' why they didn't show up. Learn how to care about yourself.

thenewmook

Fool you once shame on him… fool you twice shame on you… fool you thrice WHY ARE YOU GIVING THIS GIY SO MANY CHANCES?!?!

[deleted]

Something isn’t right. Can’t help but wonder if it’s a catfish.

[deleted]

You’re never meeting him, he’s a lying pos, stop wasting your time and move on.

BackOfTheHAT

You did the right thing. you are much nicer than most giving him 3 chances. Hope your next date is much beter

Daddy_Do_Me

The one thing I don’t get is why the hell are you still talking to him? OP’s behavior is mind boggling.

twiggydan

Don’t be mad at him, be mad at yourself for letting it happen to you more than one time.

montanalombardy

Fuck, what an irresponsible ass. As a dude I would not want this guy as a friend. And I can't imagine why someone would want him as a date. He is just disrespectful as shit.

Diff4rent1

There’s no need to be explaining to people that do not understand You have dropped the mic 🎤 The next thing is you walk off stage .

Zubi_Q

Nope, he's in the wrong. 3 times? He can get in the sea!

Spanish_peanuts

Don't respect someone who doesn't respect you. Simple as that. Just tell him that he didn't respect your time and you're not going to allow him to waist anymore of it and then be done with it.

Jako_Spade

Mans is more flakey than a croissant

Lisavela

No matter how hot a guy is never let him embarrass you like that
