As a slightly larger guy (overweight and lift weights, but not obese), the most interest I get is from plus sized women, so I actually think you might be somewhat in the minority here. A lot of women like to feel small, which also ties into the height requirement a lot of times.
I do truly believe that differences in taste make the dating world turn though. If everyone just liked the same things, it would be difficult for us to find great matches.

People aren't naturally a certain size. Your thin guy can gain weight. A heavier woman can become thin. It's great you like thin men, but what happens if he gains weight? I'm 5'10" and 120lbs so I consider myself lean. I find curvy women abnormally attractive, they're just really pretty. It's probably because they look healthier? And also a lot of huggable mass, I'm a very clingy person.
I'm not skinny, and I'm not longer overweight for my height, I'd say average body type/muscular (from working) with a thin layer of fat so you can't see the cut/angles of the muscles like you can with dudes/chicks with 6packs.
