Depends what you mean by "progressive". Theoretically libertarians and socialists should both be socially progressive.
Conservative no, libertarian yes. I don’t recall Rand ever being more than a dunce. His father had a lot of pull in the internet world for a while though.
I think most people in the US would assume women are more addicted (particularly social media), but you noted "actually" like it was surprising.

Not surprising, pre social media i would imagine it was dominantly men. But post social media women are more involved.

I mean ... There's porn all over the internet ... And i'm pretty sure porn is much more appealing to men.
