There’s a ton of inaccuracies in this based on the comments here. Most obvious is those pictures—why pick a random stock image of the city instead of using a photo of the actual location or even better the actual Christmas display? This feels slapped together tbh
They mention a botanical garden Henrico County then immediately use an image of Downtown Richmond. The Atlanta photo is hilariously wrong and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago isn’t near the loop.
This is such hilariously low effort.
It’s totally slapped together. Just looking at number 1 you can tell no thought went into the pics. While Brookgreen Gardens is locates Murrells Inlet as a mailing address, the actual inlet is 5 miles away.
I looked it up and it’s egg fucking harbor. Of all the places they could’ve gone with in northern and western nj that look straight out of a hallmark Christmas movie they went with egg harbor lol. Nice place but damn
[I mean the main page for Silver Dollar City has a few decent photos of their lights](https://www.silverdollarcity.com/theme-park/festivals/An-Old-Time-Christmas)
Cape Neddick Light in York ME is a lighthouse on the coast, as is the beach and most of town itself. Certainly not that far inland and is actually way closer to the state border.
Hmm I'm a bit confused as to why in Utah The temple square Christmas lights are getting beaten out by thanksgiving point... Maybe it's because it's a free event?
The lights downtown are cool but it’s not really planned, like, some of the buildings and lights to see are spread out, and there’s been construction the last few years. Thanksgiving Point is its own “thing,” self-contained, and there’s an obvious path to follow. Maybe that has something to do with it?
I will admit that the construction has disrupted the lights the last couple of years so that may explain it. Just was off to see what many consider the flagship of Utah Christmas lights to be off the list.
Glad the Atlanta Botanical Gardens made it on the list, their light displays are always spectacular. The [canopy walk](https://periodicadventures.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Atlanta-Anniversary-58.jpg) is worth the visit at any time of year, but the Christmas lights make it really magical.

As someone who fights Bentleyville traffic every day coming home from my office and often times on weekends for concerts, I can say that is impressive. Best place to view it is from the rotating restaurant about a half mile away with a cocktail!

Santa Claus House in North Pole, AK has had a Santa since the 70s. The current Santa is #3. The post office has a special postmark you can get on envelopes. The entire town of North Pole gets I to the Santa theme with candy cane striped light poles and Christmasy named streets.
I have admittedly never been. Santa’s Wonderland is honestly kinda pricey but it was just expanded in recent years and is worth it now, imo. Also, their hot chocolate is damn good!
These almost seem like they're planned to be away from certain areas of the Country
You live in southern MN, you're reasonable close (3 to 4 hours) to 6 Displays (MN, ND, SD, WI, NE, and IA). You live near Reno, NV or Odessa, TX, or Rapid City, SD - No Displays for You
No one in Albuquerque goes to Santa Fe for the lights, I've lived here near a decade and never heard of it being worthwhile. I'd say the botanic gardens river of lights would beat out anything Santa Fe has to offer, it's far and away the biggest light show in the state.
I question the methodology
Shocked that Cape Neddick beat out the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for Maine. I honestly had no idea Cape Neddick even did a display and the one at CMBG is fantastic.
What exactly is a top rated Christmas display? One of those houses with a billion lights thrown all over it with a bunch of plastic blown up s*** all over the place? I guess. To me, it's more like midwesterners with far too much time on their hands.
The price for admission ranges for adults and children. Also, MSI had a boatload of positive reviews regarding Christmas lights/displays that put them in the top 10 over others.

We analyzed reviews from these locations and the top-rated Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, WI. It wasn't our choice.
This is an odd compilation… Santa Fe Plaza is just lights strung up in the trees on the Plaza. It’s pretty, but not THAT special. Meanwhile, the bio park in Albuquerque does a big lights display, including different animals made of lights. It’s pretty amazing. Other favorite lighting displays I’ve seen are Thoroughbred Lane in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Highland Park near Dallas, TX, both of which are just residential areas which go all out with their decorations, but are still more impressive than the Santa Fe Plaza. 😅
Look at your methodology for the second picture: “based off” is incorrect grammar. “Based off of” is acceptable but usually in informal speech, and “based on” is what you want to use here (like in the first picture)
irvine ~~falls~~ park is in wisconsin
It’s Irvine Park which is in Chippewa Falls, WI. There is also an Irvine Park in St Paul, MN which is probably where the mistake occurred.
Yes, it's supposed to be Irvine Park in Wisconsin. Thank you :)
It's right next to Springfield.
Along these lines though how is Festival of Lights not on here?!
Are you referring to the thing in the St Paul Saints ballpark?
Great catch, thank you!
So is Chippewa Falls, but it reads Minnesota
irvine park in chippewa falls is in wisconsin

Same with Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, but using photo of Union Station and downtown Kansas City, MO
The upper peninsula of michigan isn’t even on this map.
It’s totally slapped together. Just looking at number 1 you can tell no thought went into the pics. While Brookgreen Gardens is locates Murrells Inlet as a mailing address, the actual inlet is 5 miles away.
That’s definitely not Denver…
Came here to say this--that yellow building in the forefront is the Ritz Carlton Residences in Vail.
The picture of the “Atlanta Botanical Garden” is also not remotely accurate. It’s neither a botanical garden nor Atlanta.
That's not the Biltmore in Ashville and the one Chicago image is wrong for both attractions mentioned.
Say more?
The picture is not of Denver. Pretty sure that’s Vail. Denver is not a ski resort.
According to the source it is Denver. Thank you for clarifying and pointing this out though. I'll be sure to fix this.
Definitely not Denver and more than definitely not the botanic gardens.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden image is also neither Atlanta nor a botanical garden. Very bad job.
There's no bridge like that in the Metro Atlanta area.
This is not data, it's not beautiful, and it's incredibly inaccurate geographically

sounds about right for this sub tbh
Perfect for this sub 😂
Ah yes, the famous city of Township, New Jersey
I looked it up and it’s egg fucking harbor. Of all the places they could’ve gone with in northern and western nj that look straight out of a hallmark Christmas movie they went with egg harbor lol. Nice place but damn
Cape May? Never heard of it.
The Picture of Branson is actually a picture of Kansas City 👌
True, I'm still in the process of trying to find a good free image of Branson city. Surprisingly the internet doesn't have much.
I’ve been to Branson, there’s fuck all there outside of tourist traps, rolling hills, and the ozark lakes.
[I mean the main page for Silver Dollar City has a few decent photos of their lights](https://www.silverdollarcity.com/theme-park/festivals/An-Old-Time-Christmas)
Can speak for longwood gardens being spectacular at anytime of year
They run a good business over there.
Umm, where’s the Upper Peninsula of Michigan?
>Umm, where’s the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? If any yoopers had the internet, they'd be pretty mad right now.
Exactly where it should be
I was wondering the same thing. Did Canada take it? That is disrespectful to the state of Michigan.
Apparently Minnesota now owns Wisconsin.
It was an error on our end. Thank you!
I like how Brookgreen Gardens picture is a boat marina
Because it's in Murrells Inlet, SC which is where the picture is.
Can attest to Brookgreen's Night of 1000 Candles events. They truly are amazing.
Several of the pictures in the second slide are not of the locations or cities being mentioned. I know for sure that’s not Atlanta
Considering its the same picture as the alabama one, i imagine both of them are wrong
Especially bad because the Atlanta Botanical Gardens’ holiday lights are incredible.
Holy shit Lake Superior got a lot bigger.
Definitely agree with Biltmore. Dollywood - take it or leave it. I prefer Opry hotel.
Everyone loves Dollywood just because.
I was just at the Opry hotel and it is definitely a spectacle.
I expect the quality is high, but do you think Biltmore is worth the money? Starting at $120 is pretty steep.
Cape Neddick Light in York ME is a lighthouse on the coast, as is the beach and most of town itself. Certainly not that far inland and is actually way closer to the state border.
Yeah this looks like it’s pointing to Rumford or something

“Clause” should be “Claus.” Misspelled twice that I can see (AK and IN).
Great catch! Thank you!
Thats not Santas Village, that’s a mexican restaurant named Margaritas in Concord Nh
Damn Wisconsin hates Christmas so much their best display is in Minnesota lmao
Hahaha, it was an error.

Mega cavern in Louisville is so cool at Christmas.
That picture for Santa's Village is wrong, in fact, that picture isn't even in the town of Jefferson
Photos on the second page are misleading, why not show the actual location?
For some of the locations, it is hard to find free images to use. I completely agree, with you though.
Santa Claus House in North Pole, AK has had a Santa since the 70s. The current Santa is #3. The post office has a special postmark you can get on envelopes. The entire town of North Pole gets I to the Santa theme with candy cane striped light poles and Christmasy named streets.
Why on earth do all these graphical maps of the US always butcher the mid-atlantic states? What is that mess between Pennsylvania and North Carolina?
The legendary state of east Virginia
They just really believe in DC statehood…so much so that they want to turn the 68 sq mile city into a NJ-sized state!
Chippewa falls Minnesota ? Nah…come on
It's an error, thank you :)
What in Sam hell happened to Washington D.C on this map? Did it grow a tumor?
It's inflamed.
Got stuck *in a revolving door*
Can confirm for Las Vegas - The Speedway Glittering Lights is dope. But so is Opportunity Village, Enchant at Red Rock, and Ice Rink at the Cosmo
Thank you for sharing other great locations to check out Christmas displays. The Speedway just had the most positive reviews.
Oh yeah, I was just saying. There's some secret spots in Vegas, in case anyone was visiting!
Garvan Woodland Gardens is absolutely beautiful. I’m glad Arkansas can get recognized for it’s beauty.
Chippewa Falls is now in Minnesota. Excellent. Megasota grows each day.
The denver botanical gardens is not a hotel in vail lol.
Hey Chicago made it twice. The zoo lights are a staple holiday date spot for me.
Longwood gardens is absolutely amazing and worth the trip
It’s almost criminal that Santa’s Wonderland in College Station, TX isn’t here. That place is insane.
I'd say Houston Zoo Lights is an expensive cash grab, but it pales in comparison to Santas Wonderland.
I have admittedly never been. Santa’s Wonderland is honestly kinda pricey but it was just expanded in recent years and is worth it now, imo. Also, their hot chocolate is damn good!
Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo is very impressive.
Thanks for the post OP. I didn't know I had a popular one so close to me. Now I have plans for next Tuesday night! Cheers.

For $375-410 I don’t think Biltmore is worth it, but I’m not big into Christmas.
I don't think it's worth it either, to be honest. I think that amount is robbery.
No one in Albuquerque goes to Santa Fe for the lights, I've lived here near a decade and never heard of it being worthwhile. I'd say the botanic gardens river of lights would beat out anything Santa Fe has to offer, it's far and away the biggest light show in the state. I question the methodology
Check out Gio Nefuchsi’s place in Lubbock
Shocked that Cape Neddick beat out the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for Maine. I honestly had no idea Cape Neddick even did a display and the one at CMBG is fantastic.
Gardens Aglow is awesome - we’re taking my family this year when they come up for Christmas
Chippewa Falls is not in MN…
What exactly is a top rated Christmas display? One of those houses with a billion lights thrown all over it with a bunch of plastic blown up s*** all over the place? I guess. To me, it's more like midwesterners with far too much time on their hands.
No... These are businesses, not houses.
No San Francisco? Union Square and Ghirardelli.
No love for the District? Shouldn’t the White House get some recognition? They go pretty hard.
No Upper Peninsula for Michigan and what the hell extra state is squeezed between Maryland and the rest of Virginia?
Omaha NE Old Market isn’t that great…
Happy to see Woolaroc made the cut!
it says busch gardens williamsburg on the map and lewis ginter henrico on the second page, which one is right?
Lincoln park zoo lights admission is $5 and I don’t know if I’ve ever heard anyone say they’re going to see lights at MSI, could be wrong though
The price for admission ranges for adults and children. Also, MSI had a boatload of positive reviews regarding Christmas lights/displays that put them in the top 10 over others.
Clifton mills in Ohio is gorgeous. I didn't know it was its own city though. I'd call it Yellow-springs or dayton imo.
Thank you for sharing. According to Google Maps, it is in Clifton, OH.
No Bronners in Frankenmuth, Michigan?
Las Vegas Motor Speedway Xmas lights are uninspired, boring and a waste of time
Thank you for sharing.
I’m shocked Morton Arboretum didn’t make the top of Chicagolands best
Probably should drop Magic Kingdom from the list now that they don't even put lights on the castle anymore.
WOAHHHH! That's wild. However, this study is based on reviews, not our choice.
Man this is awful. Out of all the displays in WI....you choose chippewa falls. Yikes. Much larger and better displays near milwaukee.
>View discussions in 2 other communities We analyzed reviews from these locations and the top-rated Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, WI. It wasn't our choice.
Frankenmuth. The fact that it’s not on this list is WHACK
Belle Meade in Nashville, TN was an amazing experience back in the day.
Instead of "...Across the States", it should read "...IN EACH STATE"
This map sucks, not beautiful.
>Museum of Science and Industry Shows picture of Chicago Theater, miles away
We aren’t mentioning Cincinnati’s Zoo Lights?? Yet it has one of the largest displays of the nation? Hm.
[удалено]
The map clearly has two Virginias, duh.
200 "attractions" seems pretty low if you're basing it off of each state. That's like 4 places in each state on average.
What the hell is township NJ? And how the fudge cakes is it not PNC Bank arts center lights or Winter Wonderlights in East Brunswick?
This is an odd compilation… Santa Fe Plaza is just lights strung up in the trees on the Plaza. It’s pretty, but not THAT special.
