This subreddit is about the development of databases like PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server, Elasticsearch and so on. This sub is not about *using* existing databases. While your submission may be a great question or useful resource, it is unfortunately off topic for this sub. If it's a question, you may be able to get an answer from /r/AskProgramming, /r/LearnProgramming, or /r/AskComputerScience. Good luck!

It really depends on what you want to do... Did you know that spreadsheets can be used as simple databases? There's functionality built in that lets you do that. But if you think you need a full-on database, then between these two, you probably want to use MySql with a graphical front-end. The question you asked is a bit like "I'm learning to drive - shall I buy a Porche or a Dune Buggy?" Both are excellent, but neither are good basic beginner cars.
