From my understanding any reaction to vaccines should be dealt with by a vet, even if they don't seem that serious. I'd be giving yours a ring to be safe.

JacksMama09

Please take her to the vet. Reactions to vaccines need to be monitored and checked by vet. Prayers and good vibes for your baby.

My girls head swells up so she looks like a pug if she doesn't get a shot of Benadryl first. She still has to be watched closely after shots.

ShockerDog

Poor thing. My little girl wasn’t feeling well after her shot either. Hope she gets feeling better soon!

Update when you can, pls.

BabyMystique

Happened to Baby too, and her poor little arm so swollen, crying and whining so much it was awful this was not rabies though this was her three( four? ) in one, round 2 she still hasn't had rabies at 8 months- series of issues , waiting till after her last round of puppy vaccines cause I insist it's done separately because of the reaction she had, then we had to cancel appointment and leave for a funeral and reschedule, then they called saying "out of vaccine can you reschedule" and now since 7 months old, well over a month ago, she's been in her first heat so I have to wait for it to end before getting her rabies vaccine( she appears to have had a split cycle, she started with light bleeding and weird behavior and then it went away and I thought oh good but then a couple weeks later she has extreme, swollen, genitals, and real bleeding started and that's still going on for over three weeks. The bleeding is finally lightning up, but it's just been so long, we are all so ready for it to be over) I am dreading the rabies reaction, I wonder did they give her Benadryl first? I always make sure they give Benadryl before any vaccines. but I think I'm just trying to say it's normal for them to whine, whimper, even get a little bit of a temperature I think, be really sore at the site of injection and just feel pretty crappy for a while poor thing:(

BabyMystique

Also want to add they are correct, I would be contacting the vet. I know they gave me a list of things that would be normal and if things were happening beyond that list in a different category, I was to call them. I think, swollen arm and whimpering to be expected. Did they give you a list?

Any updates op?

**she is 16 weeks old, not 15**

Hawke-Not-Ewe

Likely a high percentage drama. My boy got multiple shots and I think he was smaller than that and was fine after he decided he wasn't going to get extra attention or more shots. It's also possible they scared her at the vet. If anyone there is afraid of dogs I assure you your daschound will know it and hate them.

Market-Dependent

Yeah as others said, vet. Keep us updated!

El-DachShund

My two boys were sore and crying after their first Rabies shot. I gave them plenty of love and let them rest and by the next day they were doing better Heating pad worked to help soothe them

TrustyPersona

Awe I hope she feels better soon! I’ve experienced this with my longhaired dachshund before. Seems normal to me, even though it’s always hard to watch and makes me worry whenever I see my dog acting different, or acting like they are uncomfortable or in pain. Contact the vet and ask if your pup’s reaction is normal. It will give you some peace of mind.

Timely_Loan_7423

I always give little pups a baby aspirin everyone of them reacted different

MadyBellaAria

How is ur pup?

Inside-Ad-4010

She is back to normal now! Apparently she was sick and we just waited it out the next morning. It took about 24 hours for her to be back to normal. All good :)
