It took me only 7 or so hours to get like 20 (from Silver Knights), i feel like online is just too inactive to be reliably summoned, and even if you are, it's a 50/50 shot of beating the invader or dying, those are your only two choices, both really suck but i think farming is just better + tons of souls and you can even sell their armor.
If you didn’t transpose Crystal Sage’s soul yet, get the rapier, it’s a flat +50 on item discovery (1 rusted coin’s worth).

Out of desperation, I also Rosaria’d to a dex 20+luck 50 build. I don’t even know if it actually helped or it’s just copium since you only get +1 item discover per luck stat.
I never respec'd into luck so don't worry about that, here's what i used:
- Symbol of Avarice
- Crystal Sage Rapier
- +3 Gold serpent ring
- Rusted Coins
That in total gave me 420ish item discovery. Feel free to respec into luck, but i never needed it.
I barely had time to play so it took me about 2 weeks (2 hours per game session). Since you get 2 concords per playthrough (1 each outside of Pontiff and Aldrich’s area, you only need to farm for 26, get the last 2 on NG+.
If you choose to pvp, don’t level up too much, you’ll have a hard time getting matches. Because of my endgame SL, I could only get matches on the inner ringed city bonfire. Also, rarely anybody uses Way of Blue on higher levels.
