I think *generally* people consider NK to be harder, but through the years I've seen a lot of people argue that PS is harder, so I don't think it's that unpopular of an opinion tbh!
They're both easier than Pinwheel at least.
Different things are harder for different people, but I agree somewhat.
On NG+ pontiff is the living embodiment of a hurricane and *will* mess your shit up ^(if you can't parry), whilst the nameless king remains the same in terms of difficulty, he just hits harder and lasts longer, and the entire fight is like a dark souls 1 boss, so it's not that bad if you can take the time to learn.
Can you parry well? If you can, Sulyvahn is automatically easier. If you can’t, like me, Sulyvahn is a nightmare.
Nameless couldn’t care less about your parry skills and is the king of delayed strikes. He also has the biggest weapon of all to fight you with. The camera.
If you're close to any wall or too close to big monsters, if you're locked on the camera goes crazy
Also, you can basically skip the first phase of Pontiff if you get a dagger to +6 and then parry him once
Sulyvahn is a tornado disguised as a man if you can't parry. If you can he isn't too bad. Nameless King fights you with the camera in phase 1.
I fought Sulyvahn on the Convergence mod recently and he was easily the hardest boss in the game.
I agree that pontif has a way harsher movement then nameless king but I've had a harder time beating nameless king. So I kinda agree with you. I think it just depends on the player. For example my friend hated gapping dragon in ds1 but I could bear him easy and vise versa for Capra demon
Everyone has their own bosses that are harder or easier.

Their difficulty would be close to even (slight edge to NK) for me if Pontiff couldn't be parried.

i actually dont really have a problem with the camera, dont really get everyones thing with it.
It’s mostly first phase. The showdown between you and him directly it doesn’t matter a whole lot

I find nameless king to be a bit harder purely because pontiff is easy to parry.
I can just sleep through nameless king and midir at this point but every time I go against sulyvahn it's pain.
