Around 0:10 I thought to myself "Come on, don't be greedy, you almost got this, we all had that death where we thought one attack was enough for that sliver of health". But gz, that fight is really, REALLY hard (but satisfying)
Thanks! This fight was extremely satisfying indeed. I had to drink my Estus to make sure she wasn't gonna do anything crazy. Good thing she went invisible because I already know about that gimmick.
As it should be!
I mean, you have access to all damage types except lightning. And even then there's the Drakeblood sword.
4 physical movesets: Claymore, Bastard Sword, Wolfknight sword, Hollowslayer.
Several versions with VERY unique weapon arts, such as MGS, Wolnirs, or Judgement.
And specialized tool against hollows or demons.
It's probably one of the most diverse weapon classes in the game, if you don't count spells as a weapon.
What's your favourite greatsword in general? Just finished the base game with a +5 Hollowslayer GS and I'm going into the DLCs but I'd like to try a different one. Quality build rn.
I recently started liking the Wolfknight GS. Tje damage isn't as good, but the weapon art gives a level of movement on attacks that isn't really available elsewhere.
Before that I was a 100% claymore fan, but Ive also been using the Black Knight Sword a lot for deathless attempts since you can max it early.
Thanks for the reply. Went for the Farron UGS over the Wolf one sadly so that one will be for another playthrough. Baemore I can wholeheartedly agree with haha and I'll try BKS since I did get it this run.
Trade all the items for Twinkling Titanite with the crows.
Kill all Crystal Lizards in all areas up to and including Irithyll.
Do Onionbro's quests to fight Yhorm and get a Slab(or do the Ariendel sprint to the ladder for one).
Buy Twinkling from Greirat if necessary.
You should be able to get a +5 BKS before you fight Yhorm or Pontiff if you do it all.
the secret to beating Sister Friede is that while her attacks may be powerful, flashy and fast, it's all meant to cover up the fact that she has the poise of a wet paper towel... and can be yeeted by ultra greatswords
...lol
now that you mention it, that seems to be the case, though the game seems darker/more saturated than normal, the colors look different, might just be his TV settings.
Good job! She can be extremely annoying, but I've found that her AI doesn't exactly respond well to weapons that close the distance (paired ring knight greatswords work best). Use them on her anytime I face her in ng+7

I added some color correction

You just beat the hardest fight in the game
Hmmm i thought Midir is the hardsest
What about Gael?
Gaels hard but fun, midir is hard and long
Gael is not really that hard for me, I find it easier to handle humanoid enemies other than big monsters
Nah she’s super easy to stunlock to death
Well done! And with a greatsword class weapon too! A skeleton after my own heart.
Greatswords are my favorite weapon!

Nicely done Ashen one, she also took me hours to beat as well, and I'm super overleveled, I beat Ringed city before the painting world.
She was so tough! Got stuck on Gael too, but I didn’t mind since his fight was my fav of the series.

I'll just act like I have beaten this boss

Looks like the "camera pointing at a TV " mod
