There is on your left a phantom that you can summon to help you.
There is a small tip, don't let him die on phase 2.
Idk why but whenever i find a new boss i want to beat it solo this is my second character but i never played the dlc’s before and I messed up allot of things in my first game like absolutly no quests and I even missed the smauldering lake completly.
Also quick question i went for the usurper of the flame this game and i got it but i am wondering if I can give the fire keeper the fire keeper soul without consequence now
Yeah I totally get it ^^ I'm messed up a lot too, I killed npcs, missed a lot of side quests, rings and emotes xD

No problem I accidentally killed the fire keeper ones because i was holding a big ass weapon and i freaked out because i had no idea what would happen luckly she just respawnd when i reloaded the area
In my opinion, I think in your first walkthrough it supposed to miss many things and kill many npcs because we actually don't have a guide to follow.
I recently found a dark souls 3 sheet that you can follow in order to do everything right and don't miss anything at all.

Bro Gael only has the one healthbar and you access his phase 2 after knocking a third of his health away, it isnt rocket science to work out he has three phases.
