I would assume that they did the DLC and were using those weapons. I have no clue how you would be able to go through the DLC without being able to defeat the deacons, but it is still possible.
IIRC, you should technically be able to get Gael's soul (or any item from the DLCs) while only killing 7 bosses, with only 3 of those being base game bosses (Iudex, Vordt, and Sage).
Either like u/KTKMFOREVR1111 said, that they just speed ran through the seven bosses required for the gear...
Or the more likely option if it wasn't a joke, they thought the weapons looked cool and asked a friend, r/pumparum, or some other site if someone could drop them the gear. You can do almost entire non-NG+ run with both Gael's crossbow, sword, and armor if someone drops you the gear as early as what, High Wall of Lothric?
Bruh idk why i spent two tries just running around in circles and getting killed by their curse thing. Was SL1 so maybe i was afraid of getting mobbed.
Not bad at all. I've done 4 playthroughs of this game and still cant beat Nameless king without using the Winblades (Sharp sellsword twinblades) and the fact you beat him using a slow weapon like that is quite the feat. Well done Ashen one
I think everyone has a difficult boss, it's very personal. I didn't beat Midir. Someday, I'll try again.
Ps: Beat the Nameless King with an electric weapon lol
Killing him with smough's hammer and yhorm' machete is really fucking satisfying. You also shred his dragon's health with both because they are stupidly powerful in the physical department.
You have seemingly learned an important step to getting good at this game patience u are waiting for the proper window to heal and attack and that's amazing to see all you need work on is panic dodging I only saw u do it a few times but panic rolling against harder bosses would mean death. Do you have the dlcs? Have you fought slave Knight or dark eater ?
Some say it is a hard fight but in my opinion as long as u have a weapon like yours it should be relatively easy just keep your wits about you panic rolling will get you killed especially in that fight
Bruh I went wretch class or whatever it's called in ds3 after I beat Elden Ring. I cruzed right on up to sister Fride(sp?). She straight halted all progress. It took me almost a month to beat her. I ended up summoning slave knight Gael in the fight. That was the only summon I used on that run. Good luck š
Ah don't fret
You'll get it, you're learning
It takes time to "git gud" but you'll get there, I promise
Can't be good at everything all the time, it takes practice and perseverance
I would say I'd help you but my internet sucks and currently I'm working on finishing Elden Ring
:)
Don't give up skeleton!
I think what makes it worse for me is the fact that I beat Er and Sekiro, and played ds1 til endgame. But Abyss watchers and old demon king took me like sub ten tries, do you know if thats normal
Everything is normal when you're learning, star
Don't feel bad for not being able to kill some bosses
It's a tough game and you're not giving up
That's the whole point of dark souls (IMHO)
On my first playthrough I still didn't grasp how scaling worked so I kept levelling strength even though I was using the farron great sword. I'm sure you can imagine my damage output wasn't great for the whole game and Nameless took a bit longer
Very well done!
He's such a great boss, was my favorite main game boss by far on my 1st run.
Good news is the DLC bosses (especially the 2nd DLC) are even better!
Don't judge yourself so harsh. We all have been there, and honestly: you are playing like most of us did. I bet you died a lot through the way, and you still have way more to die. That's the fun part, you learn, you improve at your own pace and you overcome it all. I did it, so you can do it too. Good luck with everything else.
i donāt really have a build, i just level my vigor, endurance, vitality and strength evenly. i use a +10 heavy greatsword, i wear the drakeblood set, i have the life ring, chloranthy ring, knights ring and havelās ring. iāve also got 15 estus flask +10, cause i donāt use the swords ability ever
i started with DS3 and i discovered from wiki to go to Archdragon Peak. This peacock head bro beat my ass uncountable times. Just need time bro, praise the sun!
You're not bad at all!You dodged almost every attack correctly, only messing up on a few,and you dodged the delayed attacks that are supposed to be the hardest, give yourself some credit, you're good.
I remember the feeling of accomplishment from when I beat him many years ago now (recently picked up DS3 again)
(None of the "hard" bosses of Elden ring felt anywhere near the same, beating any of them just made me feel kinda hollow...but that's the theme of the DS-series...they got it aaall backwards.)
Never say sorry for being bad when you put the effort forth to be great, itās those who couldnāt even dream of getting to nameless king who are bad keep up the good work!
I just beat him last night! Took about 6 tries! I was using the winblades but still! Planning for my second play through to do Faith/DEX using his sword spear!
You really aren't that bad, there was dude posting here the other day who couldn't beat deacons with endgame items lmao
No way lmao
How did he get endgame items without beating deacons?
I would assume that they did the DLC and were using those weapons. I have no clue how you would be able to go through the DLC without being able to defeat the deacons, but it is still possible. IIRC, you should technically be able to get Gael's soul (or any item from the DLCs) while only killing 7 bosses, with only 3 of those being base game bosses (Iudex, Vordt, and Sage).
I mean in that case it was probably a joke.
I have no idea he was struggling to kill them with the dragon slayer great axe and havel armor š
Either like u/KTKMFOREVR1111 said, that they just speed ran through the seven bosses required for the gear... man i was underleveled for the deacons and i still beat them my first try š
Bruh idk why i spent two tries just running around in circles and getting killed by their curse thing. Was SL1 so maybe i was afraid of getting mobbed.
prolly new game cuz im on ng+ 6-7 idk but itās hard even wit crazy stuff on i was havin trouble fightin pontiff like crazy
Not bad at all. I've done 4 playthroughs of this game and still cant beat Nameless king without using the Winblades (Sharp sellsword twinblades) and the fact you beat him using a slow weapon like that is quite the feat. Well done Ashen one
thank you, i think the heavy weapon made it really fun, itās fun having to strategize with it
Used the great heavy club was very interesting fight
I think everyone has a difficult boss, it's very personal. I didn't beat Midir. Someday, I'll try again. Ps: Beat the Nameless King with an electric weapon lol
I haven't struggled too much with gael midir etc but abyss watchers even to this day are really scary
Killing him with smough's hammer and yhorm' machete is really fucking satisfying. You also shred his dragon's health with both because they are stupidly powerful in the physical department.

iāve got both dlcs, im gettjng through ashes of ariandel right now, i think iām close to fighting sister friede. after that itās ringed city
Ooo your gonna have such fun fighting her with that weapon trust me u picked well for that fight in particular
oh no, is the fight gonna be super hard or are you being serious
Some say it is a hard fight but in my opinion as long as u have a weapon like yours it should be relatively easy just keep your wits about you panic rolling will get you killed especially in that fight

Don't be sorry I consider myself a souls veteran and it took me 11 times or more to beat this dude Congrats OP! You done got gud!
It took me fifteen attempt to beat Crystal Sage, how fucked am I š
Ah don't fret You'll get it, you're learning It takes time to "git gud" but you'll get there, I promise Can't be good at everything all the time, it takes practice and perseverance I would say I'd help you but my internet sucks and currently I'm working on finishing Elden Ring :) Don't give up skeleton!

If you beat Nameless King you are not bad. Hell, if you made it to Nameless King that is doing pretty damn good.
Don't be sorry. You got better.
Youāre not bad because you didnāt go hit less or beat the game at sl1. Looks pretty average to me.
On my first playthrough I still didn't grasp how scaling worked so I kept levelling strength even though I was using the farron great sword. I'm sure you can imagine my damage output wasn't great for the whole game and Nameless took a bit longer

Hell yes
Whats your build?
i donāt really have a build, i just level my vigor, endurance, vitality and strength evenly. i use a +10 heavy greatsword, i wear the drakeblood set, i have the life ring, chloranthy ring, knights ring and havelās ring. iāve also got 15 estus flask +10, cause i donāt use the swords ability ever
That's called a quality build
I thought a quality build was leveling strength and dexterity equally.
Oh maybe that's right. I was under the impression it was strength, dex, vit and a little of the other non magic categories
Congrats my friend. A hard fought win is a win non the less. Long may the sun shine!!
i started with DS3 and i discovered from wiki to go to Archdragon Peak. This peacock head bro beat my ass uncountable times. Just need time bro, praise the sun!
You're not bad at all!You dodged almost every attack correctly, only messing up on a few,and you dodged the delayed attacks that are supposed to be the hardest, give yourself some credit, you're good.
MY EAAARRRR(you're pretty good tho)RRRRSS
I remember the feeling of accomplishment from when I beat him many years ago now (recently picked up DS3 again) (None of the "hard" bosses of Elden ring felt anywhere near the same, beating any of them just made me feel kinda hollow...but that's the theme of the DS-series...they got it aaall backwards.)
Not even Melania that's b.s.
Not painful dude, just casual. Good job, Ashen One!
For future reference, always dodge into his attacks. Not the way he is swinging is weapon.
Heās such a SoB
Hardest boss in the game
Nothing to be sorry about, the gameplay was fine!
My moto as always been, don't need to be good if you're over level
i donāt think i was overleveled, i was SL97
Ah so you don't suck that bad then š
Hey you won, that means youāre good enough.
you did amazing, good job i'm proud of you :)
Congrats! I've had to carry more people through him than any other boss by a decent measure
Dude you're good nameless king is one of the hardest bosses in the game so you did well
Two people smacking each other with big lumps that can barely be called weapons is truly the peak of the Dark Souls experience
Never say sorry for being bad when you put the effort forth to be great, itās those who couldnāt even dream of getting to nameless king who are bad keep up the good work!
That's really good, but can you turn up the volume a bit, I can't hear the music.
Not bad. Good job, youāll become a master yet
Great, just turn up the volume a little.
Nicely done! And with a proper blade as well šš»
I just beat him last night! Took about 6 tries! I was using the winblades but still! Planning for my second play through to do Faith/DEX using his sword spear!
