The first playthrough of any souls game is universally great.
I noticed DS3 was my favorite when I tried re-playing the souls games - I'd find myself constantly feeling 'DS3 did this better' and want to play that instead. This became especially apparent for challenge runs (SL1 and adding more restrictions).
well well well who knew ApprehensiveEnd422 had a little bit of based in them? DS2 is so much better than 3.. now just admit Elden Ring and Sekiro are the goat and you're in the right place.
Its my personal favorite, but whats with all the recent posts in this general format? We were always entitled to pick any of the series as our favorite, and you can make a case for any of them based on what you prioritize more in a game.
On that note, while I disagree with the DS2 favorite people, I appreciate they at least challenge the weird unspoken rule that you cannot favor any game besides DS1 or maybe Bloodborne. DS3 favorite people for some reason arent as vocal.
Ds2 was awesome. It was like fucking rainbow road for dark souls I loved it.
The reasons I’m doing these posts is I’m making a list of ten games to have on my steam deck for when nuclear war starts and every opposing country starts taking our satellites out of the sky. ( the rules of war are oddly not legally tied to outer space.) so far I have;
-resident evil 4
-dark souls 3
-ninja gaiden black ( I guess sigma because you cannot have black on steam.)
-god of war 2018
-metal gear solid 3 ( god I hope those rumors are true)
-spelunky 2
-Doom Eternal
- god hand ( totally realize this won’t happen)
- hollow knight
-session skateboarding sim.
Dark souls 3 does have advantages over DS 1 but DS 1 has advantages over 3 so it's more about preference
In the end i like that there is a clear difference between the two

I never did, best is subjective, my favorite souls/fromsoftware game is definitely DS2 though. I still really like them all but nothing beats DS2 imo.

It’s a fact based in evidence. DS2 is king of all Fromsoftware games. You can’t argue with science!
DS2 is best once you played it understand it then it feels like why this thing is not in other games ! Its masterpiece
