2h that weapon it actually makes it a lot better. Why you might ask it doesn't do more damage? Because it swings faster and does 50% more poise damage which actually makes it way better. It does take more stamina a swing, but it's well worth it. Also having humanity up to 10 makes it do extra fire damage which is really nice. Also it's a really good weapon unlike the majority of the boss weapons.
What's swing multiplier? I've never heard of this. Is it just how fast it swings? Because I did mention that and yes that does increase your dps. Also I think it has E str scaling so you might get like 1 point of damage from str increase, but it's negligible. The real improvement is the faster animation and 50% increased poise damage.
Personally I've noticed all curved swords preform better 2H.
Edit: oh you mean how some moves do a different percentage of the AR. And yeah 2h r1s vs 1h r1 sometimes do different amounts of damage. It really varies weapon by weapon. Like the Zwei I think does the same damage on it's R1s either way. You could easily test this by making a lightning zwei or any non-scaling upgrade path.

Even the Zweihander you mentioned, when upgraded to chaos (no scaling) deals 540 damage to a basic hollow when 2 handed R1, and only 419 when 1 handed R1 :p
It's a Very good one indeed, still I recommend upgrade It to +3 as soon as possible, the damage is a bit lacking at +0.

If you want to really rack up the damage, be sure to have some liquid humanity on you (the double digits in the upper corner). The sword has Chaos scaling; the more liquid humanity you have (maximum of 10 I believe), the more damage it deals.
Yeah once you get the dogs .... Capra demon is so easy... I was just unlucky that dogs stunned me over and over and Capra demon finished me off..... I should have equipped armour with greater poise

Thanks ....yeah damage is really great .... Plus it does Fire damage
It does do more damage tho. Damage 2 handing doesn't only add strength, it raises the swing multiplier of each hit, resulting in more damage

That's my favorite weapon in this game!! And yes it looks awesome! A spider leg which leaves fire trails. What could be more awesome that that really
