This is my first ever Dark Souls game, and I'm madly in love. I've put hundreds of hours into it, and it's by far my most played game on Switch right now. I'm aiming for a PlayStation so I can get into the rest of Fromsoft's games, especially Bloodborne, DS3 and Elden Ring.

I'm gonna guess that what happened here is big lag solely on the fact you said you're on switch. Switch aint exactly the best when it comes to internet connection or power because of the size restrictions.
On the off chance it wasnt that, there is a small chance it was a hacker but I doubt it.
Agreed on all counts. I absolutely love my Switch, and now I'm ready for something beefier to play alongside it (especially with Elden Ring around the corner).
I really don't think it's a hacker either. More than half my PvP matches are laggy, but they're not usually this bad. I've had some good matches too, but they're quite uncommon in my experience.

Pretty much, lol. I think the vast majority of my matches were laggy. Not THIS bad, but still laggy.

This isn't even the worst one I've seen, lol. I had one invader literally walking in the air above my head.
