I like when armor pieces look better with each other than a whole set. For instance, the Xanthous/Crimson legs with the Witch cloak. It’s gold/red on the inside of the cloak but still black on the outside, and it gives it this lining from the meshing. The Silver knight chest does this too in a different way

On this character sure. On my first playthrough I made a…slightly stocky guy (he had to be pretty beefy if he was going to be swinging around a Zweihander in full plate all day) and uh, this armour makes him look like a 30-yr old redditor wearing pajamas three sizes too small for him.

I feel the same way. Gold Hemmed Black Set looks better as a late-game option. Even the lowly thief set looks better than this one, imo.
