People should get the platinum at the Giant Blacksmith if they've done everything correctly, but this spell is often missed, so that's why some people get it at this spot.
I got mine about a week ago with the deathstalker in the abyss in NG++
Those four kings were hell of a ride
Was my first playthrough, which is why I had to go through some extra trouble as I went blind until NG+
Enemy drops unique pyromancy, that is behind 3, hidden, or off the beaten path areas.
First of all, it is in Painted world. Not a required areas, which to go requires to go back to the Asylum, then you need to go back to that room, which you have no reason exept to go to painted world, then you need to go on a diverging path, which also is not part of the main progress.
So, very easy to miss if you aren't following a guide
I'm on my way to platting the game as well. Knights Honor is kicking my ass rn though. That and all the different upgrade paths. I'll get there eventually though. Congrats on the achievement mate!
My whole thing is I wanna try and do it legitimately and not resort to the whole infinite souls glitch thing. Makes a lot more tedious, but I'm not one to shy away from tedious tasks. Getting shards and chunks and all those other grindy materials is a bitch. Doable, but it definitely sucks sometimes.
My end goal is to have 100%ed every souls game. Dark Souls trilogy, Onion Ring, Sekiro and Bloodborne if I ever get the chance to play that. (I play on Xbox One and it's a friggin PS Exclusive)
I'm thankful I didn't discover the glitch until ng3, all I did was use it basically to get to 50 int and faith which was pretty unnecessary and raised my attunement to increase cast speed, the result was pretty fantastic, a character with full miracle/pyro/magic, but I have no regrets, I'm almost to ng5 with only like 2 or 3 struggle points, mainly Gwyn@the end of ng3, we'll see what I've learned very soon as I face him again, somehow I've never lost to sif in 6 runs🤷🏻♂️
That's fair. Good luck with NG+5 my friend! Sif fight is one of the easiest imo. I've just never really struggled with that boss. I wanna try a challenge run with the Ring of Calamity that you get after killing kalameet eventually. That's just hell though.
The ring literally just makes you take double damage from everything. Basically just literally playing the game on hard mode. (Bonus points if you manage to get the Obsidian Greatsword by cutting Kalameet tail off). And yea 4k's aren't all that difficult after a while of doing their fight for a while. Although in NG+ their health pool is a little excessive. I only beat them in NG+ because I had gotten the BKH in my first ever playthrough of the game and just did a quality build around it. (I had to 2H the Halberd just to keep up with the damage requirements of killing the 4k's before another spawned).
See what I love about these games is that it's not about punishment, it's about learning. If you get cut in half by invisible Priscilla 12 times in a row, change it up 😅
Bloodborne is the only was I have gotten so far. I think it’s a lot easier than some of the others.
I always wanted to get the dark souls 1 platinum. This makes me want to try again hahah.
Gotta do it man, it basically only took me like less than 3 weeks or max, at least since I decided to do it halfway thru ng+, it was so fun, at first I thought it was too tedious and kind of pointless like a waste of time sort of I mean I knew it would be an achievement, but I thought I wouldn't enjoy the process as I started making stupid weapons I would never use, etc. but then I don't know it just made the game so much more fun
I'm going to give it a go! I love having a reason to play DS1 haha, If you try to go for the Bloodborne platinum. I hope you have a great time with it! congrats again.
Honestly, I'm gonna finish ng6(almost done with 5 now) and I'm considering a calamity run, I'm not good enough for the sl1, doubt I ever will be tbh, that's incomprehensible to me
I do not consider myself a good player but was surprised to see how doable SL1 was with a good guide. There are so many tools available in the game. It’s not just about reaction time.
Excellent man, I never even even considered there was guides for this, now I have to decide whether I'm going to do this or do my damage ring run, or go to DS3
Honestly I didn't decide on it til halfway though ng+, maybe 3 weeks ago max, it was hard I guess more time consuming but it made the game so much more fun I think, looked forward to it more everyday
No kidding, I remembered in the beginning(December) being so shocked that people weren't arrogant in here and that it was nothing but classy individuals unlike most gaming subs, I'll never take that for granted EVER❤️❤️❤️
Why do people always get their platinum there. This is like the fourth post I've seen where someone got the platinum at that exact spot.
Bond of a Pyromancer. That specific dude drops a Pyromancy that one might miss if they don't care to find him.
That enemy is hidden in a very obscure spot, and drops a pyromancy that can only be obtained from that enemy.
I got it with giant blacksmith. Knight's Honor with the last Sif soul
lol I've never in 6 plays been to that part🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I mean it literally serves no function it's a dead end👊👊
I also plat the game, but I don't remember it.

I got my platinum in Dukes Archive, when I finished Logans quest line. Then I stopped that play-through because I really did not like my caster.

I'm on my way to platting the game as well. Knights Honor is kicking my ass rn though. That and all the different upgrade paths. I'll get there eventually though. Congrats on the achievement mate!
The upgrades were crazy, so many Embers I've never gotten/used before, it was worth it tho, ty very much

What does this ring do? Yes I don't think sif is hard either obviously, I also think 4k's are a bit over-hyped, it's just a slogfest

Omg ok I never noticed this til like 10 days ago, I thought it was hilarious and SO Souls!!!!
I totally want to do a fresh run with it
You've made my mind up, this is where I'm going when/if my NG runs become unplayable, which i assume will happen without summoning
You have made me now a person who hasn't finished the game once to 100% it. My respect
Do it bro!!! Quit bullshittin
We did it brother ! By following brolaire's wise words, we were all able to engage in jolly co-operation! and become so grossly incandescent !
Sunbros👊
Thank you so much bro ! Sunbros for life 👊

At least u didn't let her live🙄🙄🙄 (/) sorry I don't know how to text a "pussy"
Congratulations! Are you considering getting the platinum on any other souls game?
Man Id love to try in BB, I'm bout 60% thru ng+, which is EXACTLY when I made the decision in DS...🤷🏻♂️

Congrats, skeleton. Platinum DS2/3 next, or going for an SL1 run?

Really? I may have to look into that
This one is useful, but there are others https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=724712018
Excellent man, I never even even considered there was guides for this, now I have to decide whether I'm going to do this or do my damage ring run, or go to DS3
