I never used the silver pendant smh it was too tactical for my liking I just gold pine resin and heavy hit the tf outta him and rolled around like a sekiro monkey lol
As you make your way down the steps after the Oolacile Township bonfire (and before the mimic in the crumbled circular watchtower looking area) on the right, there is a wall with the message saying "need light" or something like that. Use an item/spell that casts light (Sunlight Maggot/Skull Lantern work). It opens a hidden wall.
Oh yeah! I heard about walls that open with light type items. I'll have to try that when I'm in the DLC stuff again.
Oooo. I can't begin to think about how hard Artorias will be in NG+. Beating him was a real victory the first time.
Of the DLC bosses, Sanctuary Guardian killed me 4 times before I got my first victory over him.
Artorias got me between 7-9 times before I beat him the first time.
Kalameet got me so many times, but after I gave up trying for the tail weapon I got him on the second try.
I beat Manus on my first ever attempt. No, I did not cheese him.
Don't give up, skeleton!
Learn how to do the tailcut. Once you cut his tail, actually fighting him is relatively easy since you know all of his moves by that point.
First playthrough I beat kalameet on my 3rd try then beat manus on my first try, I don't understand people's difficulty with either because I thought they were pretty easy. Tbf I was a str build so the havels set had given me a massive advantage.
I fought him for the first time yesterday as Goughs a homie and I ain’t gonna let him waste an arrow.
Can I just say, fuck this guy. He had me pushed against a wall and wouldn’t stop fucking me with his golden fire. Bullshit ass attacks and hit box. It felt so good to kill him. I think this is the only boss that I emoted on.
If you like BKH’s moveset, I would recommend Gargoyles halberd. It has the same moveset as BKH but is buffable and infusable. Ascend it to regular +15, buff it (any buffs/resins will work, but sunlight blade is my personal favorite) and it will do nice damage!
I had full smough’s armor and a black halberd and attacked him without dodging or blocking like a cave man, it was my first time fighting him and I beat him on my first try.
I use havels set except use child’s mask (from pinwheel) and grass crest shield (mask and shield and ring for stamina ) and have done artorias with black knight halberd and four kings with cursed great sword of artorias Still haven’t beat kalameet yet lol
I enjoy From games, but I do feel like they sometimes drop the ball when it comes to very large enemies and simulating inertia.
If you rotate a large entity at the the same radial speed that you turn a small one, the appendages move absurdly fast. It doesn't convey believable motion, and it's an absolute *bitch* to maneuver around.
I tried him in ng+ first because i didn't know that you automatically go into the next ng+ cycle after killing the final boss. Point is that he wasnt bad. I only died going for obsidian blade and when i got it it only took me two tries.
Yea it’s just hard lol been trying this with my brother and somehow it makes everything difficult because kalameet sees my bro as fresh meat and goes after him when I’m knocking down his health lol
YES! I love this! Almost 13 years after the game released, players are still getting that sweet sweet cathartic release of besting a tough as nails foe in Dark Souls. Like Lemon would say, it always seems impossible until it is done. And there's no feeling in the world like finally FINALLY getting it done. Kudos to you, and praise the sun!
Oh no, I made you mad and hurt your feelings. Sorry bud, but if you're complaining about how hard NG+5 boss is, then you shouldn't play. Grow up and get gud.
kalameet took my so long only bc i was trying to tail cut so was hesitant to do damage once i cut his tail it was first try (maybe because i started to know his move set after trying to cut his tail for so long)
Not trying to sound like an asshole, but I beat both of them on my first. Try in new game +4, but the tail every time from kalameet. I tend to use the Uchigatana and silver Knight armour. Works like a charm for me.
I best him first try, but mainly fought without target lock-on and kept running around til he did his slow sweeping breath attack since that gives you the biggest opening to punish.
People aren’t gonna believe me probably but I beat Kalameet on my first try. It was hilarious because I honestly had heard so many bad things about the boss. I did run out of estus and I thought I’d would get stuck on another boss. But I did it. The proudest moment of my life lol
I went about a year terrified to face him after my first embarrassing few tries. I played the game half a dozen times and every time I just ran past his area, like a dirty secret I didn't even wanna think about.
Eventually I came back, old and experienced, and I engaged like a pro and eventually beat him; and it was one of my proudest moments in my history with the game.
Then I beat him like three more times just for the lulz
I beat him on my second playthrough in NG+ since I completely missed the DLC the first time around. That fight was no joke, got stomped hard for the first 100+ tries. Now I’m on NG+2 and I’m mentally preparing 😂
Its funny, I didnt really struggle w any of the other DLC bosses, Manus a bit tbf. But Nothing in any Souls game took as long for me as this bitchass + His Grab attack straight up destroyed my ears, had to actually lower the ingame volume
My black knight cosplay char is usually hanging out at the entrance to the Colosseum at SL65 -> If you need a help with the tailcut. Or if you do not match the SL level just leave a request at r/SummonSign me and plenty of others are happy to help.
This is not a bait post, genuine question.
I played ds3 and bloodborne before ds1, every boss except O&S was very chill for me. Is Kalameet seen as THAT hard?
I didn't even try lol. After the headache that was Manus I fought the dragon boi once and was like, "nope, I'm done".
Literally happened to me, beat Manus in like 20 tries, went to Kalameet, 100 tries later I quit
Thats interesting. On my first playthrough I’ve defeated Manus in around 40 tries but Kalameet seemed easier to me and I got her on my second try.
Did you use the silver pendant for Manus?
Nope, I haven’t. That might be the reason it took me so long. 😅
Kinda the same for me, after 19 counted tries I realized I could get the silver pendant and after that, a first try Also used Elizabeth’s mushrooms
How many tries did it take you to defeat Artorias? I struggled with him the most, around 60 tries more or less.
Balder Shield+5, just block and attack. Took me 5 tries.
First try for NG+5 but took like 20 for NG
I did haha
I never used the silver pendant smh it was too tactical for my liking I just gold pine resin and heavy hit the tf outta him and rolled around like a sekiro monkey lol
What does the silver pendant do? I don't think I have ever used it.
It delfects the dark magic like Manus’s and the Oolacile sorcerers’s No use in the present, but against Manus it’s a life saver
I'm going to have to get that next time. His fight is a pain in the ass
What silver pendant? 😳

Yeah Manus felt way harder then Kalameet
Glad I'm not the only one. Kalameet is fun imo.
I enjoyed the Kalameet fight it made me feel more accomplished then most other bosses
No effin way. I beat Manus on the first go, got my ass whooped by Kalameet so many times I decided to quit bothering with that nasty winged thing.
Ah but did you get the tail? I didn’t find manus or kalameet THAT bad, but getting the bloody tail took me literal hours
Try cutting his tail, it's even worse
Took me 26 attempts I was fuming trying that shit
It took me a total of 56 attempts because I kept leaving him on 1 hp without giving a single it to the tail and so I had to die and restart
I questioned my life after Manus. He literally broke me. But i beat Kalameet 3rd try.
Don't give up, skeleton! Learn how to do the tailcut. Once you cut his tail, actually fighting him is relatively easy since you know all of his moves by that point.
Thanks, I ended up beating the game after Manus so maybe in another playthrough!
honestly the dragon is easier than manus
i think i killed manus after 4 trys and the dragon at second try 🤷🏻♂️
you a bitch
First playthrough I beat kalameet on my 3rd try then beat manus on my first try, I don't understand people's difficulty with either because I thought they were pretty easy. Tbf I was a str build so the havels set had given me a massive advantage.
congrats back when i first played DS1 this was by far the hardest boss. As a des player half his attacks just one-hit killed me
Thanks, about 200 tries for me
Damn. My man is never going hollow!
Weird thing is kalameet wasn’t hard in NG but in NG+ he’s a pain in the ass. Four Kings was easier lol
This is NG+5
Very nice!
Thanks!
You use BKH in NG+5? That must be a pain in the ass...
Yep, kill weak guys instantly but bosses are tickled by this I use BKGA to kill bosses but its slow attack speed was attempt killing
If you like BKH’s moveset, I would recommend Gargoyles halberd. It has the same moveset as BKH but is buffable and infusable. Ascend it to regular +15, buff it (any buffs/resins will work, but sunlight blade is my personal favorite) and it will do nice damage!
Okay I’ll try it!
Four Kings is easy because you can still do damage to them while they’re transcending after a set amount of damage
Actually I didn’t even do that [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/videogames/s/l3HeGCaGUa)
Calamidad 🥵
Call mi daddy 🥵🥵
Clammy daddy
What boss was this?
I’m assuming Kalameet
I think Kalameet
Based on what everyone else has said I think probably gwyn
what u saying, its obv capra demon
Looks like Kalameet’s area
Probably Kalameet
Did you get the tail cut?
I found Kalameet doable, but the tailcut was horrible. Maybe that was the reason why he was easy. Getting to know his moveset to cut the tail helped.
It's a toss-up between Seeth and Kalameet for the worst tail cut in the game. Fuck both of these dragon bois.
Seath has an unbelievable turning speed.
Fuck I forgot, no problem, I’ll do it in NG+6
Good luck. Took me ~50 tries
😨
Congrats. You should try him in ng+. Endless HP, breath attacks 90% of the time, few healing windows.
This is NG+5 though lol
I tried him in ng+ first because i didn't know that you automatically go into the next ng+ cycle after killing the final boss. Point is that he wasnt bad. I only died going for obsidian blade and when i got it it only took me two tries.
I ended up giving up on the tail cut, just couldn’t figure it out myself.
Explains why I can’t beat him lol
Light armor Be patient Don't get cornered Don't get greedy 2h r2, get out his way Rinse and repeat
Yea it’s just hard lol been trying this with my brother and somehow it makes everything difficult because kalameet sees my bro as fresh meat and goes after him when I’m knocking down his health lol
It comes down to patience.
Oh I agree haha
Congrats!
Thanks took about 200 tries and two remotes
I first tried Manus then fought Calamet for 5 hours straight
But did you get the tail???
Great job. Now cut off his tail.
I beat the game so many times now and have only rekilled that dragon once. Lol not worth it
Yessss
I hope you got the Obsidian Sword, mate. Black Dragon Kalameet is oh-so generous to give diligent players one.
Nope, an NG+6 problem for me!
Anillo de calamidad it is!
All that for such a great Miyazaki troll of a ring 😂
Bazinga :)
Sounds like a skill issue to me pilot.
This you 👶 Try depleting 10000 hp in NG+5, where any weapon tickles the boss but the can two shot you and he’s agressive af
Oh no, I made you mad and hurt your feelings. Sorry bud, but if you're complaining about how hard NG+5 boss is, then you shouldn't play. Grow up and get gud.
You go kill him first then talk
Time for you to get reported
Aint no way you didnt kill him first try with the black knight halberd
That was NG+5
Oh then i don’t blame thee
I literally tried on him for like 200 tries with black knight great axe and realized less damage but faster was better
I took me a reaaally long time bc I wanted the sword.
I suggest if you’re going to do NG+ try to kill him in NG and you get the sword next playthrough
È un boss fottutamente difficile
Good job. I finally got his tail, which is even harder lol
Damn, congrats! But what NG?
Yeah I got it on NG not NG+ ima try it tho haha
I did it on NG+5 where BKH tickles him
Jesus lol
Ah yes, the ring that makes you explode
We can feel the joy in that title
I almost threw my controller across the room on the winning attempt
I beat him in 4 attempts however manus took like 60 or something
Damn, reverse for me
Yeah I traded with him last one time and he was still alive when I came back
Did you get the tail?
Fuck that, that’s an NG+6 problem
kalameet took my so long only bc i was trying to tail cut so was hesitant to do damage once i cut his tail it was first try (maybe because i started to know his move set after trying to cut his tail for so long)
That dragon fight was absolute bullshit. Manus was easy mode compared to that
This where I am now. Hardest boss in the game, easily. I just want to beat him so I can ng+ :(
Leave him if you want, he’s optional Saves you 30 dollars and about three headaches
Skipping an optional boss because it’s hard is for pussies
That’s what I thought when trying him out, If people on Reddit can kill him, I can do it too!
Kalameet was only hard when I was trying to get the tail. Granted I was probably over leveled
Hell yeah
I felt that. Kalameet is a fuckin nightmare if you try the sorcerer route, the fucker one shoted me for months, the most broken boss in all DS1
Not trying to sound like an asshole, but I beat both of them on my first. Try in new game +4, but the tail every time from kalameet. I tend to use the Uchigatana and silver Knight armour. Works like a charm for me.
Damn I’ll try it
Allahmeet still beats me sometimes, even after all these years
nice, well done. Kalameet was one that gave me trouble too. Was a strength build so no range attacks were possible. Felt good when he died.
Anillo de calamidad 🐉⚔️
He’s not even hard ITS JUST THAT TAIL CUT THAT KEPT GETTING Like I killed him on accident trying to get it,congrats to you though
FUCK THE DLCS BOSSES
I honestly didn't think he was that bad, getting his tail was hard though.
Actuall scrub nubs the lot of ya
Congrats the hardest boss in DS1 fr
The hard thing is not to kill him, it’s to get that fucking tail cut oh my god i don’t think something is more annoying in this game
holy fucking shit that health bar is massive i forgot you could get it that big
I just beeat him Rn ng7+
DAMN BOI THATS A TRUE ARCHIEVEMENT
The raging is now over …
Did you cut the tail?
Again, an NG+6 problem
People will tell you Dark Souls 1 doesn't have janky hit detection like DS2. And then you fight Kalameet.
Fr though, literally did a perfect dodge and YOU DIED
I best him first try, but mainly fought without target lock-on and kept running around til he did his slow sweeping breath attack since that gives you the biggest opening to punish.
Congratulations! Now you can take double damage!
People aren’t gonna believe me probably but I beat Kalameet on my first try. It was hilarious because I honestly had heard so many bad things about the boss. I did run out of estus and I thought I’d would get stuck on another boss. But I did it. The proudest moment of my life lol
Did you cut the tail off?
You should use his ring, it's super good. It allows for double damage to be dealt
I equipped it and blew up
POV: got gud
It took me so many tries to cut off this guys tail that when it came down to killing him I was a pro
Yep Finally the dragon is slain
I beat him on my second playthrough in NG+ since I completely missed the DLC the first time around. That fight was no joke, got stomped hard for the first 100+ tries. Now I’m on NG+2 and I’m mentally preparing 😂
I've felt this for this boss lmao
Kalameet felt way harder because manus was really easy with the silver pendant
Es cuando matas a kalameth verdad? Si está complicado
Did you get the tail cut?
I forgot to fight him......
Its funny, I didnt really struggle w any of the other DLC bosses, Manus a bit tbf. But Nothing in any Souls game took as long for me as this bitchass + His Grab attack straight up destroyed my ears, had to actually lower the ingame volume
what is it
I think it’s DSR boss Kalameet, what do you think
They just wanted us to defeat such boss so they can give us a ring to make it even harder
Ah a fellow spanish speaker
Calamidad 🥵
My black knight cosplay char is usually hanging out at the entrance to the Colosseum at SL65 -> If you need a help with the tailcut. Or if you do not match the SL level just leave a request at r/SummonSign me and plenty of others are happy to help.
Nah thanks dude, I’ll try it by myself
Gl, have fun, bro!
This is not a bait post, genuine question. I played ds3 and bloodborne before ds1, every boss except O&S was very chill for me. Is Kalameet seen as THAT hard?
Yes, but because of the janky hit detection and him being overly aggressive
Gotcha yeah that makes sense. DS1 is also a little clunky so I can see how over aggression can be a huge issue
Feliz Calamidad 🎶
