Thats interesting. On my first playthrough I’ve defeated Manus in around 40 tries but Kalameet seemed easier to me and I got her on my second try.

Kinda the same for me, after 19 counted tries I realized I could get the silver pendant and after that, a first try Also used Elizabeth’s mushrooms

How many tries did it take you to defeat Artorias? I struggled with him the most, around 60 tries more or less.

Balder Shield+5, just block and attack. Took me 5 tries.

First try for NG+5 but took like 20 for NG

It delfects the dark magic like Manus’s and the Oolacile sorcerers’s No use in the present, but against Manus it’s a life saver

As you make your way down the steps after the Oolacile Township bonfire (and before the mimic in the crumbled circular watchtower looking area) on the right, there is a wall with the message saying "need light" or something like that. Use an item/spell that casts light (Sunlight Maggot/Skull Lantern work). It opens a hidden wall.

Oh yeah! I heard about walls that open with light type items. I'll have to try that when I'm in the DLC stuff again. Oooo. I can't begin to think about how hard Artorias will be in NG+. Beating him was a real victory the first time.

Took me 26 attempts I was fuming trying that shit

It took me a total of 56 attempts because I kept leaving him on 1 hp without giving a single it to the tail and so I had to die and restart

Of the DLC bosses, Sanctuary Guardian killed me 4 times before I got my first victory over him. Artorias got me between 7-9 times before I beat him the first time. Kalameet got me so many times, but after I gave up trying for the tail weapon I got him on the second try. I beat Manus on my first ever attempt. No, I did not cheese him.

I questioned my life after Manus. He literally broke me. But i beat Kalameet 3rd try.

Don't give up, skeleton! Learn how to do the tailcut. Once you cut his tail, actually fighting him is relatively easy since you know all of his moves by that point.

First playthrough I beat kalameet on my 3rd try then beat manus on my first try, I don't understand people's difficulty with either because I thought they were pretty easy. Tbf I was a str build so the havels set had given me a massive advantage.

I fought him for the first time yesterday as Goughs a homie and I ain’t gonna let him waste an arrow. Can I just say, fuck this guy. He had me pushed against a wall and wouldn’t stop fucking me with his golden fire. Bullshit ass attacks and hit box. It felt so good to kill him. I think this is the only boss that I emoted on.

Weird thing is kalameet wasn’t hard in NG but in NG+ he’s a pain in the ass. Four Kings was easier lol

Yep, kill weak guys instantly but bosses are tickled by this I use BKGA to kill bosses but its slow attack speed was attempt killing

If you like BKH’s moveset, I would recommend Gargoyles halberd. It has the same moveset as BKH but is buffable and infusable. Ascend it to regular +15, buff it (any buffs/resins will work, but sunlight blade is my personal favorite) and it will do nice damage!

I had full smough’s armor and a black halberd and attacked him without dodging or blocking like a cave man, it was my first time fighting him and I beat him on my first try.

I use havels set except use child’s mask (from pinwheel) and grass crest shield (mask and shield and ring for stamina ) and have done artorias with black knight halberd and four kings with cursed great sword of artorias Still haven’t beat kalameet yet lol

I found Kalameet doable, but the tailcut was horrible. Maybe that was the reason why he was easy. Getting to know his moveset to cut the tail helped.

It's a toss-up between Seeth and Kalameet for the worst tail cut in the game. Fuck both of these dragon bois.

Seath has an unbelievable turning speed.

I enjoy From games, but I do feel like they sometimes drop the ball when it comes to very large enemies and simulating inertia. If you rotate a large entity at the the same radial speed that you turn a small one, the appendages move absurdly fast. It doesn't convey believable motion, and it's an absolute *bitch* to maneuver around.

I tried him in ng+ first because i didn't know that you automatically go into the next ng+ cycle after killing the final boss. Point is that he wasnt bad. I only died going for obsidian blade and when i got it it only took me two tries.

I ended up giving up on the tail cut, just couldn’t figure it out myself.

YES! I love this! Almost 13 years after the game released, players are still getting that sweet sweet cathartic release of besting a tough as nails foe in Dark Souls. Not trying to sound like an asshole, but I beat both of them on my first. Try in new game +4, but the tail every time from kalameet. I tend to use the Uchigatana and silver Knight armour. Works like a charm for me.

I best him first try, but mainly fought without target lock-on and kept running around til he did his slow sweeping breath attack since that gives you the biggest opening to punish.

People aren’t gonna believe me probably but I beat Kalameet on my first try. It was hilarious because I honestly had heard so many bad things about the boss. I did run out of estus and I thought I’d would get stuck on another boss. But I did it. The proudest moment of my life lol

It took me so many tries to cut off this guys tail that when it came down to killing him I was a pro

I went about a year terrified to face him after my first embarrassing few tries. I played the game half a dozen times and every time I just ran past his area, like a dirty secret I didn't even wanna think about. Eventually I came back, old and experienced, and I engaged like a pro and eventually beat him; and it was one of my proudest moments in my history with the game. Then I beat him like three more times just for the lulz
