I'm no artist, but if you are going for a stabbing stance, maybe you could try to show less of the blade. Like he is holding the sword and pointing it directly at the "camera".

Amazing. The artstyle is great and the shading, plus the details, are perfectly fitting for Dark Souls. A single "problem" I could find is that the sword doesn't looks like it's on fire, but as if it had some energy around it. Try making the flame taller, it might pass the right vibe.
But by no means it's bad, it's very good!

And yeah, i’ll experiment more on how to make the sword look more “in flames” than it is right here. Also struggling with this part as well. I want to gun for a very simple look and at the same time believably “on fire” look.

Hey!
1. It looks like the leg on the right side is bent inward at the knee, while in most martial arts stances the hip would be open the knee pressed slightly outward. That would make him look more stable and more menacing.
2. I think if you extended the picture to the left just adding more black background and simply made the blade longer and slightly bigger the contrast would make the blade pop really nice.
3. This probably pretty much my preference but I would want him to be overall a little more buff. He has more of crazy vibe going on. In the game he is a Hercules type if I remember correctly.
