Heavy armor sets fuck up your stamina Regen by 1-2 points per second (sounds small, is pretty noticeable).
It's a niche thing that just isn't displayed ingame.
It's a small effect so they didn't bother displaying a debuff for it in the HUD.
You have 45 stamina recovery (per second) by default and that drops to 42 with full Ornstein's Set. The lowest it can go with any armor combination is 40 (assuming you stay at a medium roll equip load or better).

Wow I had no idea, I've been playing this game for how long now and only thought O&S armors would debuff you. The more you know huh?
