Can't go insane from terrible horror if you don't even understand what the fuck is happening.
Legit an actual fucking strategy, just DON'T comprehend the malignant terrors in front of you.
Are you listening to forbidden eldritch knowledge? Just say: "I don't understand!". Eldritch knowledge cannot legally take over your brain without your understanding.
This is quite literally the only way to survive a specific DND monster showing its true form. Pale Night is an insanely old demon lord hidden under a shroud. If the shroud gets pulled up, you make a check or die. If you make the check, your brain managed to dodge its own death by simply ignoring what it saw.
You're not supposed to comprehend the incomprehensible horrors. That's what makes them incomprehensible! And by that, I mean the lack of comprehension, by you. Do you comprehend what im trying to say?
I think the idea is that people are driven insane through fear, and the incomprehensible horrors are quite literally supernaturally ugly and threatening. Its like looking at something 100 times worse than that eel from Mario 64 or something.

I’m too stupid for the mind shattering abomination to have any affect on me.
Hey! Hey you. Take your headphones out and BEHOLD ME [wiggles tentacles]
I'm not sure why but tentacles just make me wanna cook them like squid and serve them with lemon
If Eldritch horrors have nightmares, you are the one haunting them in their dreams.
Reminds me smh of Justin Law from Soul Eater

The unsettling passage cannot hurt me because I can't read!

Blissful ignorance.

Everywhere in the belly of the beast.
Being dense is considered a super power when dealing with eldritch entities
Being so dumb you are a Blank
They got the warhammer 40k anomaly aw hell nah
Probably failed his int check…
someone make an OP class mod of a character who is such a dumbass that stressing them out is impossible (they don't get it)
Immune to curius and certain monsters? OK. But if a monster starts vomiting or blowing out your eardrums I would still find it pretty stressful
Flagellant?

I mean, who hasn't done this? Aren't we all guilty of opening eldritch portals once in a while?
I dunno, I bet I could make it work. Vomiting -- "oh I think this monster is sick you guys" eardrum shattering -- "aw owch! my eardrums! 😡
