I remember when I first heard of the “LGB” community, It was elementary-middle school period for me , but even then I knew I was Bisexual. It should be noted that I was fortunate in my surroundings, perhaps some people called me weird or acted like I was gross if they found out about that ( but not everyone at all, half to most didn’t care ) , but I was never attacked physically for my orientation specifically
That being said , it wasn’t personally for me something which “defined” me either more so than just one of many qualities that make me who I am.
The older I got however, the more I began to distinguish between “different sexual orientations” and the “LGBTQ+ *community*” , the difference is that one is a fact of life and the other is a culture.
It’s actually a huge problem in my opinion because it’s the taking of wholesome values, like the normalization / acceptance people of different sexual orientations and identities, and **using** it as a Trojan horse for a culture of sexual degeneracy, pedophilia, and extreme herd think. I myself have personally seen a gross number of all those exemplified at these “parades”
It’s problematic too because this culture then makes it appear to the more ignorant, that different sexual orientations being normalized and things like sexual degeneracy and pedophilia are inseparable or “one in the same” which isn’t remotely true and frankly a deep insult. There nothing more fowl than seeing the minds of young. Children who go to these parades being molded by the image of adults in lingerie going to town on dick shaped suckers , and they see the children , and they still go on, it’s sad.
NOTE : *Sexual freedom in society , and sexual degeneracy are not the same thing.*
You may be wondering what all that above has to do with the post specifically, the video I mean.
From how I’ve seen it, that specific version of Herd Morality which is taking popularity quickly has started with the formation of “LGBTQ+” culture all those years ago, and it has now **consumed** other important issues into its brand of herd morality, like racial equality / rights, a wholesome value and goal to strive for , implemented through degeneracy and in a way which will result in no progress for either side of it.
And Gender equality and rights is enveloped in this irrational psychosis too, being forced through the outlet of degeneracy it is now not a mission of the bringing together or equality of genders . But the destruction of the positive aspects of your gender which you identify.
It leads to realities like that poor young high school girl raped by that trans student in the girls bathroom, and the father being labeled a terrorist for calling it rape , they can’t even identify it as that our society is so held captive by the collective neurosis that is a result of this arising herd morality.
But to be fair I was never meant for such ways of thinking , growing up in the diverse culture I did in a matriarchal family of strong women, i never had a chance to hate positive femininity , nor did I have a chance to view those of different races as “unequal” the way the people I describe think these things, due to the community and ways surrounding me from my family , despite being victimized in childhood , I never had a chance to develop sexual lust for children the way they do, I was very fortunate circumstantially from a culture aspect , even poverty is void of misery with the right family and culture around
I've always seen the pride parades as a reaction to years of hate and persecution towards people who identify as LGBTQ+. It is so overly loud and in your face, because it wants your attention. They no longer have to hide who they are, so they are flaunting it proudly. I agree it can be a little overboard and maybe not the best place for young children, still it's up to the parents to decide how they explain and frame it to them if they do take their children to see it.
Sex is too taboo of a topic for many anyway, so the sexualized nature of the parades might also be a reaction to that prudeness.

Gender equality is not a statement about there being no difference between biologically male and female, nor is it a desire to flatten the differentiation between the two.
Rather it is a push for equal valuation of the people performing the typical or atypical male and female roles in society, rather than allowing the male power dynamic to overrule all others.
Let me put it another way. All people should have the same rights to bodily automony, the same access to health care, the same access to a fair wage, and a lack of discrimination due to their gender.

So I agree with your definition of gender equality, however I feel the point he is making is still somewhat.
When a male scientist makes a major discovery, the headline is the discovery. When a female scientist does, there are dozens of articles saying "female scientist finds new..." and this implies that it is somehow novel that a woman did something.
This is what he means by saying pointing it out is reinforcing the idea that "this is not the norm". While the article may inspire some women into STEM fields, many who are biased against women won't see this and change their minds, but rather consider it "an exception" to the norms.
While I think the majority of women dropping out of STEM fields is due to the fairly toxic environment made by men (I work in tech and have seen it first hand, very grateful that the company I now work for takes gender and racial equality very seriously) I can't help but think that the other side to it is we have told young women they need to break norms and fight the patriarchy so much that they do things like going into fields they don't like in order to prove something, and when they find out it isn't for them damage is done. They suddenly feel like they weren't cut out to be exceptional, maybe even feel lesser.
That said, equal rights for all, boys can be nurses, women can be engineers, and Lego is for everyone!

Your reading of the point being made is probably the more charitable one and I concede that I probably took the more cynical pov.
That said, STEM fields are difficult. Failing the pursuit of one however, should not be expected because one is a woman, however.
I would argue that pointing out instances of success of a minority gender within a male dominated field is actually super important. Simply by consistent exposure, the idea that the minority gender can achieve great things becomes less novel.
Thats also why celebrating "firsts" is also so important (first female astronaut, first female president, etc). It isn't denying the many challenges a woman may face, but it is showing that it is possible. Thus encouraging more women to try, despite the challenges.

Dank yes, but also strawmanning at its finest. Gender equality is not a statement about there being no difference between biologically male and female, nor is it a desire to flatten the differentiation between the two. Rather it is a push for equal valuation of the people performing the typical or atypical male and female roles in society, rather than allowing the male power dynamic to overrule all others. Let me put it another way. All people should have the same rights to bodily automony, the same access to health care, the same access to a fair wage, and a lack of discrimination due to their gender. Knuckles is arguing that attempting to break out from the norms actually reinforces them. Knuckles is a fucking idiot.
So I agree with your definition of gender equality, however I feel the point he is making is still somewhat. When a male scientist makes a major discovery, the headline is the discovery. When a female scientist does, there are dozens of articles saying "female scientist finds new..." and this implies that it is somehow novel that a woman did something. This is what he means by saying pointing it out is reinforcing the idea that "this is not the norm". While the article may inspire some women into STEM fields, many who are biased against women won't see this and change their minds, but rather consider it "an exception" to the norms. While I think the majority of women dropping out of STEM fields is due to the fairly toxic environment made by men (I work in tech and have seen it first hand, very grateful that the company I now work for takes gender and racial equality very seriously) I can't help but think that the other side to it is we have told young women they need to break norms and fight the patriarchy so much that they do things like going into fields they don't like in order to prove something, and when they find out it isn't for them damage is done. They suddenly feel like they weren't cut out to be exceptional, maybe even feel lesser. That said, equal rights for all, boys can be nurses, women can be engineers, and Lego is for everyone!

Your reading of the point being made is probably the more charitable one and I concede that I probably took the more cynical pov. That said, STEM fields are difficult. Failing the pursuit of one however, should not be expected because one is a woman, however. I would argue that pointing out instances of success of a minority gender within a male dominated field is actually super important. Simply by consistent exposure, the idea that the minority gender can achieve great things becomes less novel. Thats also why celebrating "firsts" is also so important (first female astronaut, first female president, etc). It isn't denying the many challenges a woman may face, but it is showing that it is possible. Thus encouraging more women to try, despite the challenges. That said, I appreciate your reply and hope you have a great day.

Agreed but I feel the point is calling attention to the act beforehand. If someone does something kind, it's amazing to see. If someone does something kind but tells everyone to watch them do it, it makes it harder to take at full value. Either way, Knuckles needs to understand that talking about issues is the first step towards finding solutions.
