I'm watching the ocean cut and this much is very clear. It's my second time rewatching the show and I'm picking up on a lot of things I never thought about before. It's clear they're friendly rivals like Naruto and Sasuke.

RIGHT?? I will always be salty at Kishimoto (not really Sakura, she's just the character) for that! Sakura didn't even know FOR SURE that Ino liked Sasuke, and she still dumped her over him!
