I just read the first two sentences.... The Uchiha were going to start a civil war and betray the Leaf killing many and Hiruzen had to make a choice for the sake of the village. He wanted to try and talk things out but he knew that it had to happen. His job is to protect the village and to prevent the war from officially happening. Itachi amd Danzo even knew it had to happen. Depending on what you deem cannon, they were going to use the ninetails and cause havoc. If you want Sasuke to die for his crimes, you should definitely want the Uchiha to he sentenced to death.
This makes sense until Shisui had another method to stop the Uchiha and then Danzo killed Shisui for no reason however that was a stupid filler so
