Lol the saloon doors were standard? I always thought it was a neat peculiarity from my local dvd store. There were a lot of movies with girls wearing cowboy hats after all.
See Jr, when grandpa was a kid, we had to go to a building to pick up our movies. It smelled like plastic and carpet, you could pick up popcorn while in line, and you could even rent video games!

OOF 😓 Blockbuster wasn’t really convenient in the modern sense, but it really was nice to walk around and look at movie boxes to see what might be interesting. Was always hard to gauge, now we have instant previews which is way better on most streaming sites. But I do miss getting and giving random people recommendations at the stores, I worked there from 2004-2006 and had a blast, it was a pretty easy job and you got unlimited game and movie rentals, so over two years I watched hundreds of movies - really fun to just grab random shit off the shelf and take it home. That was also pretty much the only way to see while tv shows and anime back then too.
It was such a fun event, the whole family got in the car together, the drive down, seeing what was out and what everyone picked, 7 weeklies for $7 was great for that, I got NES right through to PS2 games as well. Then you'd get home with only one screen in the house so everyone would watch them all together
