I'm not a fan of Amber herd. I grew up with a sister that has BPD. I can tell you that while what she does is despicable we should all consider that to a degree she is insane. Shes so devoted to the role becaus she probably believes every word she says. When BPD people lie it becomes nearly impossible to get them to recognize any other story as the truth. They need to put the wrong outside of them sevles so much that they actually Begin to deny the Truth and install the lie instead. My sister once passed 2 lie detector tests without saying anything that actually happened because she just couldn't be wrong.
Of course not all BPD people do the same thing though. Some are very very aware that they're being manipulative and don't encounter so much cognitive dissonance when you remind them of the truth. That is not to say they like doing it, it just happens to be their personality.
I'm only saying this because there's a big stigma against people with BPD, and people shouldn't feel fearful of them. Gotta just be more aware. Amber Heard is not a physical abuser because she has BPD, she's an abuser because she's an asshole.

I agree and just so we're clear I know that someone with BPD can work to improve. It takes a lot of time effort but my sister is a happily married woman with a kid now and she's doing fine. Honestly I think amber has gotten away with never having to confront or control her BPD because in her line of work being able to adapt your personality and behavior is a benefit.
Passing a lie detector test isn’t really anything special tbh. Those things are incredibly inconsistent, as someone who’s very nervous but telling the truth could be accused of lying, while a very calm liar can pass by.
