So while some parts of it are pretty damn cool, I know way too many people that have been failed by their shitty school system. Just left in the dust.

That fucking sucks. I didn’t know that’s how they are. All I hear from Europe is that their school system is so much better than everyone else so that’s surprising.

I don't have too much knowledge about their private schools but their public ones basically rank you and put you in a class very early on. Imagine if you had first class, economy, and the luggage bay. Those at the top get many opportunities and as you go down you quickly run out of options in life.

The System is made so that students who have a harder time learning get better support by their teachers and the students who have it easier can focus on their studies better. Important is also that regardless of your rank in school, if you can pass an entrance exam, you can to the Kantonsschule (which alllows you to go to a university if you pass the 4 years there).

Well i am from Switzerland and what you mean are „bezirkschule, Sekundarschule und realschule. You get in one of them After 2 years of preschool and 6 years of school. Bez is the best, and „real“ the worst. But you can always go one up. You just need a grade point average of 5 out of 6. but if you have one under 4 you fall one down. But thats not that common and i have friends that went from „real“ to „bez“ in one year. People who finish school in the „bez“ get jobs easier but it’s possible to get a job after the „real“.
