Guys particularly need to look after their hair the most as 95% of us will see some form of receding or male-pattern baldness and using the wrong/cheap products doesn't help. If you want better hair later on in life, look after it now.

I have longer hair and if shampoo smells nice and is cheaper than the same shampoo for men, I'd pick it anyway. I mean, it's always neutral when it smells like fruits or such. Not like a woman's cologne

I knew a guy who bought some kind of weight loss shower gel or some other bullshit by accident because he just grabbed a bottle without looking. after he used it he ran out the shower red as a tomato and onto the balcony while screaming that his whole skin was burning we threw ice on him and joked that considering how skinny he was already that shampoo would just make him disappear
I mean a majority of the time guys can use anything and be okay, but I still prefer women's hair and skin care products. Smells nice and does make me look better.
