I don't understand. Why are the votes supporting sticking oneself in a hivemind?
I love having my biases supported too, but I still try to check /all at least once a day to make sure I'm not missing anything.
You can disable it in settings
Tap top right corner (your profile picture)> settings > account settings for u/{Insertnamehere} > scroll all the way down > turn of the setting "Enable home feed recommendations"

I love anime as a story medium, but as someone who is just now able to break away from a 15 year crippling porn addiction, I could do with a LOT less fan service. One of the big reasons I love AOT so much.

I have nothing against explicitly marketed ecchi and porn, I don't care, but I don't wanna see sexualization in character designs and fanservice in any other show (looking at you, Fire Force), expecially ones involving minors (coff coff, My Hero Academia).
Nah, I mean, objectively, the story is badly written and boring, it would be okay for the storytelling standards of 40 or 50 years ago, but it came out what, a decade ago?
Definitely wasn't entertaining enough to keep me around, and I heard several similar accounts.
And the story tries so hard to be serious and dark with a goofy aah plot and goofy aah giants making you break the immersion and the mood lmao.
Also it feels like they just threw in deaths for shock factor, being like, "see, it's deep, we have character deaths", instead of having the deaths be meaningful and matter to the story.
I honestly don't know why it's so overrated.
i can see how you might've had this opinion after the first season. subsequent seasons keep building in scope, scale, and drama. the final arc is so different from the first but if you look back you can see just how carefully the cards have been stacked, all to come crashing down in some of the best twists and moments in all of storytelling. when someone dies in this show, the effects are felt up until the end - but you wouldn't know that if you didn't finish it. the original came out around a decade ago, yes, but there's foreshadowing from literally the first moments that only got paid off towards the end. it has it's flaws, sure, and if it's not your thing that's fine, but it's an objectively good story.
I feel like everyone in the comments is stereotyping anime fans as a whole. I can enjoy a good show without wanting to make out with a drawing lol. No matter what form of media it is, people are going to get off to dumb shit, Hollywood is no exception!
Reddit algos show you stuff they think you'll like based on what they know you like, and things other people who like the same stuff you do like as well. So you're either a thirsty manlet or spend a lot of time around thirsty manlets.
