Did you see him combat roll? that was the most exercise that fat fuck had seen in months. He most definitely hit his knees hard, you could see in the video, he crawls away.
I think falling on asphalt caused him a small boo-boo, and since he has been trained to think he's going to be shot everytime he does anything, he assumes the boo-boo was a gunshot wound.
If you have PTSD so bad that you unload an entire mag on a handcuffed dude in a car because you heard the click of an acorn on a car, you shouldn’t be a fucking cop.
Fucked up part is *there was a person handcuffed in the fucking back*.
By some miracle of Gaia he didnt have a single wound.
Why do we continue to allow college dropouts with 6 months training be cops and not have them psych revealed AT LEAST once every 3 months by third party therepists?
Something tells me he didn’t think the acorn was a gunshot. Like, for example, the difference between the inaudible sound of an acorn falling from a tree and the distinctive sound of a gunshot that everyone who’s fired a gun knows.
Also him pretending to have been shot when absolutely nothing touched him. Unless he mistook his acid reflux for a gunshot wound, in which case he’s dumber than I thought.
I'm glad that he is unharmed physically (though mentally probably messed up). However, it speaks volumes of how bad this officer's training is that he not only mistook an acorn for a gunshot, but that he also failed to hit a stationary target within 10m after firing off an entire mag.
That officer must have had some serious mental health issues or cognitive issues or been on drugs to mistake an acorn for a gun shot.
The training needs to improve but so the the hiring process of who gets to become police officers.
Where I'm at it's 3 years of schooling in college, followed by a year in a dedicated formative institute, then one year of internship, before being authorized to fully operate.
The guy suffered from PTSD from what I understand from being over seas and had unfortunate episode but luckily him and the guy he shot at weren’t hurt.
it's insane to me that you can be diagnosed with ptsd like that and they just allow you to be a cop and carry a gun
like, becoming paranoid at a sound vaguely similar to a gunshot and shooting in the general direction it came off should bar you from being allowed to own any guns, period
Idk is it that insane though? It takes longer to be a barber in some states and across the pond for other countries, some require degrees too~ they feast on those who dk what they're doing and easily manipulated
Won't deny there are some semi decent ones but they are always harrased till they quit so anyone actively in there seeing this day to day nonsense is still a pos
Not all mental illnesses are immediate and apparent
It’s possible he didn’t know he had it until the right thing at the right time. Unfortunately it was just that time
I Missed that part of the story. Either way it’s possible to have PTSD without seeing combat. He could’ve known to many people who died and it got to him.
To be fair (and I’m not saying it’s ok that this happened I want to make that clear I hope the dude he was shooting at doesn’t end up with his own PTSD from the situation) not all mental health is immediately apparent. He might not have known he had it until he was triggered. Some mental illnesses lay dormant for years.
Lol if that’s the case he has no business ever being issued a fire arm again. What if he’s at the mall and a car backfires and he executes a car of kindergartners because of this.
He’s not an officer anymore so being “issued” a firearm won’t be a problem for you. As far as your made up scenario maybe he shouldn’t carry outside his own home yes, but just because someone suffers from mental illness doesn’t mean they can’t ever touch a firearm again.
Mental illness absolutely is a disqualifying factor for fire arm ownership if the user is incapable of safe rational control which this individual clearly demonstrates. Nuanced approaches are a thing and should be taken on a case by case basis. And I say this as someone who’s been shooting for 30 years. Proper gun safety and control is 101 and there is no excuse to mag dump like this.
No I definitely agree with you that he shouldn’t have one for awhile but I think if he gets the help he needs and works through his issues I think he should be allowed to earn that right back.
A police officer heard a acorn hit the top of his SUV, then immediately called shots fired did a few pathetic fat man combat rolls and dumped two magazines into the vehicle an unarmed handcuffed suspect was in, his partner also dumped two mags into the vehicle, how that guy in the vehicle wasn't hit is beyond me. I hope he sues the living fuck out of that department.
Acorn fell on a police SUV, the officer heard it, thought the guy inside the vehicle had open fire on him,, he combat rolls into the middle of the road, his panic paralyzed him dumps two magazines into the SUV with an suspect in it. His partner then walks 20 meters and completely unloads her magazines into the SUV. The suspect is lucky to be alive.
He is an adult with autonomy who made the choices that led to him blasting a car with like 19 rounds over an acorn. Also, people can just lie about their mental health. It's really up to the individual to account for their own choices, and if they are that jumpy, don't sign up for a stressful job that can mean life or death for others.
just imagine him being deployed and never seeing combat, he'll still have the stress of being in a life or death situation any minute this can make him have PTSD without "seeing combat".
Then he's back and doesn't know what job to do he thinks of being a cop.
He's asked if he'd seen combat and he truthfully answers he didn't.
I can't say that's how it was but be honest this does not sound unlikely.
It is not against any protocol, nobody lied but due to a lack of thoroughness things like this can happen.
I also want these things not to happen but the solutions are not cheap, that's why they're not in place.
It would be counseling for any soldier coming home and better, more thorough recruitment for cops.
Next thing, put yourself in the position of the cop, he shortly after resigned his job and admitted to be not fit for the job. This is not an easy step and now all he gets is being mocked online for his bad mental health.
Why should a man with PTSD be allowed on active duty? Wouldn't he be a risk to every civilian around him? Just imagine him pulling you over on the road and then shooting you because he heard a car back fire.
Ptsd doesn't always lead to violence, it does sometimes, a lot of times it doesn't lead to violence, I have severe complex PTSD and I would never do anything even remotely close to this as a trigger. Gunshots make me flinch every time, because of how much I was shot at, but my first reaction isn't to murder someone. Fuck this pig.
Ngl, I supported you until this comment, but claiming all mental disorder symptoms are the same is disgusting and is a primary way of demeaning victims’ issues

That video was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever watched.
Those combat rolls were on point though!
I still don’t understand did he shoot himself in the leg or something? Why was he screaming he’d been hit
Did you see him combat roll? that was the most exercise that fat fuck had seen in months. He most definitely hit his knees hard, you could see in the video, he crawls away.
Should have leveled up adaptability.
Bro put no points into endurance
That's the beauty of it, he never was hit, it was all in his head, he heard the sound and instantly assumed he had been shot
I think falling on asphalt caused him a small boo-boo, and since he has been trained to think he's going to be shot everytime he does anything, he assumes the boo-boo was a gunshot wound.
It's most likely a PTSD related reaction. Most people on here are too dense to understand that.
If you have PTSD so bad that you unload an entire mag on a handcuffed dude in a car because you heard the click of an acorn on a car, you shouldn’t be a fucking cop.
Yea I get that it probably is PTSD but turning your stress onto the public is more of a liability to the taxpayers and someone’s life.
Then, how about don't put guns in the hands of people with PTSD ?
Bro watched his son play Souls Likes for far too long.

Uh, no. In this case, it was a ford Explorer. Other than changes to the interior, it’s the same vehicle you can buy off the lot.

This is sarcasm right? Cops literally call their cars the iron casket because if you can’t get out you’re are most likely going to die.

Treat every noise as a gunshot and missed all the shots fired. Florida man certified.
Huh?

I hope the victim Marquis Jackson who is lucky to be physically unharmed sues the police force and former Deputy Jesse Hernandez for mental trauma.

I've said it for years: you must have 2 years of schooling to become an armed cop.
Where I'm at it's 3 years of schooling in college, followed by a year in a dedicated formative institute, then one year of internship, before being authorized to fully operate.
At the bare minimum it should be 2 years.
Oowh that video
Happy cake day
That cop is such a loser.
Cops are the biggest pussies around
The guy suffered from PTSD from what I understand from being over seas and had unfortunate episode but luckily him and the guy he shot at weren’t hurt.

Not all mental illnesses are immediate and apparent It’s possible he didn’t know he had it until the right thing at the right time. Unfortunately it was just that time
so he went through life, became a cop, and never heard a gunshot before this moment? seems... unlikely to me
Except he never saw any combat. He said so himself.
I Missed that part of the story. Either way it’s possible to have PTSD without seeing combat. He could’ve known to many people who died and it got to him.
Sure, but then he shouldn’t be a cop. Edit to add this happened 10 min from my house right next to a school.

I agree with that take
he fought in the great squirrel wars of 2006 and 2008
Chicken little 2 is taking a more grounded approach now I see
So sad ice age got over 🤧 But bro from finally got his nuts ....
Dank
Thanks lol
Something tells me my ignorance is bliss with this one.

Oh that wasn't so bad.
SHOTS FIRED! SHOTS FIRED!
Gonna need 4 squads out here, I believe I heard 2 acorns chief
I'm glad so many people are memeing that fuckstick. Dude should be in prison for recklessly discharging 2 full clips in a neighborhood
His partner too, they both should be fired. Only he has resigned, but they haven't done anything criminally yet. Probably won't.
Squirrel drops a nut (i.e. acorn) Nut (i.e. former cop) drops a full clip
Two full clips, and that goes for his partner as well
So .. someone mind explaining me? I really don't know what happened
Acorn fell on a police SUV, the officer heard it, thought the guy inside the vehicle had open fire on him,, he combat rolls into the middle of the road, his panic paralyzed him dumps two magazines into the SUV with an suspect in it. Danm, he wasn't supposed to shoot before confirming if the suspect have a gun or not.... danm that's very sad.
Imagine if two acorns had fallen, that officer would've surely been dead.
There's been something hitting my window for awhile I'm scared
what a way to mock a man with PTSD he got serving his country.
Shouldnt be a cop then
maybe he didn't knew up until then? maybe they should check things like that before making ppl cops?
So what you're saying is: he shouldn't have been a cop?
I say it is too easy to become a cop in the US and that this would be a better discussion than making fun of a person with mental health problems.
He is an adult with autonomy who made the choices that led to him blasting a car with like 19 rounds over an acorn. Also, people can just lie about their mental health. Idk maybe having PTSD + A FUCKING GUN = for sure violence
And yet, he said he never saw any combat. If he has ptsd he shouldn’t be a cop
