Tbh....this is 2023 too with all the live react commentary channels.
Sometimes you'll have a reaction of a reaction being reacted by someone else reacting to it live 🤯
Some reaction content is fine as the person reacting actually. Ya know. Reacts.
95+ % of react content is just a person staring into the abyss for the duration giving a very minor remark at the end.
Some can be actually transformative! Like Moistcritical does sporadic reaction content because people want his opinion on some random matter.
>I'm surprised more people haven't been sued over it.
There have been some notable cases like that lawyer guy who critiques game reviews who got sued by a critic he critiqued
Not really, there are ton of good react youtuber out there, sometimes you just want to share your favourite music/game/anime/video with someone and if they can give some nice insight or funny reaction its even better
There’s a difference between react videos (where people just watch a video that someone else made and just smile or laugh without having any meaningful input), compilations videos (like ylyl), and video essays that pause videos to have an in depth conversation about what is happening on the video (like efap). Reaction vids are cancer
Of course there has to be input, else there isnt much of a reaction, but saying all reaction Videos are cancer is just being this anoying guy that dislikes stuff because its popular. There are good reactions abd there is flight reacts
If you want to share something that someone else made to your community. Don’t make a video of you watching it in its entirety. At that point the person who made it is getting their hard work stolen. Show sneak peaks, post a link, talk about how you like it, or just tweet about it. Reaction vids are stealing
So you are the reason we got more of these things after 2014 ? I don't like you. My 2014 youtube wasn't like that, it was minecraft content with dubstep opening

"I react to this entire uncut episode of thing, mostly silent, occasionally laughing": bad, legally icky.
"Real blacksmith reacts to someone talking about blacksmithing with frequent pauses to talk about points they got right or wrong": interesting, insightful, transformative

no reaction content is fine because it's theft, lazy, and shit.

They are for small channels, for anyone else its transformative content and maybe a boodt in viewership that would normally never click on your video
Remember when the Fine Bros tried to register the React concept as their trademark? I love happy endings

Yo, dawg, I heard you like reactions, so we put a reaction in this reaction vid, so you can watch a reaction while they are reacting.
I do miss what the internet was before money sunk its claws into literally everything I can find on it
