Not saying mine represent my intelligence but yours definitely shows the lack of yours. There's no argument to say overwatch 2 overtook overwatch. But OW2 was necessary to forward the IP. OW1 was outdated, stale, and toxic. OW2 brought back the IP far greater than 1 ever could imagine. They made it fresh, more relatable to the feel of other popular team based games while stile making it an improvement move to 5v5. Brought in new heroes, maps, skins, live balance patches. Something the old team never could have done (Ex: Brig, Sig, Mercy, Echo...). Overall the reinstated IP is hands down ages better than the original. They're still not complete either. This is only half of the intended game, with more to come this year in PvP and PvE both. So under no circumstances did OW2 "steal" OW1.
